@@ajpalomino7780 in love. I've got like 9 videos on it. If you want speed. V rod. I've had 3 vrods and 2 nightsters. Nightster handled highway at 70mph like garbage and was a workout to hold. V rod is fast Porsche helped designed the motor revs to 8+ rpm
Just bought a 2009 Nightster with some extra chrome, skulls everywhere, forwards and Vance and Hines slips ons and a nice smoked quarter fairing... 2400 miles... God damn I lover her.

I have the same bike and love it, and i gotta say if you value preformance dont get short shots, cant say that enough. A 2-1 is the best or a longer 2-2, also be aware of the clutch kit as they are known to break due to the rivets. Also without a tune aftermarket pipes will make your bike run lean and can cause damage so lots wrong in this video
For anyone watching this and you got a 1st gen nightster, listen to this man above me. He is very right. Underrated comment.
I have the vance and hines short shot pipes on my 08 nightster with 8000 miles on it ,I don't go out after 9pm just in consideration for my neighbors those pipes can get you kicked out of over 55 trailer parks in florida and scowled at by octogenarians anywhere you go in the country I love that damn bike find myself just starring at it sometimes with a far away look in my eye

You should hear my 3" screaming eagle race pipes there obnoxious, I'm surprised I haven't been ticketed yet my bike makes that bike sound tame, if your a long rider like cross country your gonna hate those apes, first thing I did was add front controls to mine, most people say there slow my 883 goes over 130mph

I just bought mine last Friday. The bell was moved to the frame below the intake. Didn't actually notice it till it's second look around lol

I burried the needle on mine going up hill a 2003 xl with 1200 kit it still had push. My dads got a 69 883sportster chopper says after 130 the engine hits a sweet spot. Hes got some taller gears

Id stay away from carb bikes if you can and stay away from 07 fuel injected. Try 08 and up sportster. Better fuel economy less hassle. Best of luck bud there fun bikes

If you lower it you can. And get some thicker harley boots to compensate. Should be fine.

@@hailstormk9417 sure the stock seat fits 2 people or can get different ones online. I mean lower the bike with a lowering link offline. Usually a bar for like 20 to 50 bucks. Can lower the bike .5-3"s if you want. If your short keep stock handlebars. And thicker bottoms at the sole makes you taller. Theres ways trust me.

Josh Ray - I was just being a smart ass. I have the same bike and it looks fantastic with a tank lift.. you listen to what you like. Love the apes on that bike. I have drag bars and I bet it’s way more comfortable with the apes

I open it up on the video lol. It was quick. Faster then I expected. It reved to 7000rpm with programmer which helped longate the gear. It was fun enough for me to go buy one 4 weeks later.
I also say it hauls after opening it up.

Each to his own. I like the v rid. Porsche engine Has MC Hammer said can’t beet it. But not the nicest Harley to ride. I’d did the turbo thing. I had hayabusa in 2004. I hop your V rid is more useable. I only said now try the DYNA. Because they are a similar format but the lower s is 1700cc 110 cube. And a bit more room one the bike. I had a Cris when they first came out. But I’ll stick to the DYNA Lowrider s. I have a blade and 1199 Ducati. Take care on that turbo Mine through me out of the seat a few Times it was too much for the road
