  • Walk around and quick ride on a 2008 Harley Davidson 1200 Nightster. This bike only has about 2300 miles on it and is like new. A few few Harley Davidson accessory upgrades including flush fuel cap, seat, grips, and footpegs along with Python-3 exhaust. The Nightster is basically a lowered and "bobbed" (cut fenders) Sportster model with less chrome and more black along with crinkle finish on the engine. This bike is low to the ground (little over 25" seat height) and with the forward mounted foot controls offers plenty of room for me (I am 6'2" tall). The short travel suspension keeps the bike low to the ground but quickly uses up the available travel on any kind of bigger bumps (even some small ones). The Knightster is small in overall size so the air cooled v-twin 1200cc engine dominates the look of the bike. And that engine is alive in the chassis - literally moving around on the rubber engine mounts especially at idle. The low revving engine loves to lug at super low RPM's with locomotive like torque feel. The classic rumble of the V-Twin engine with that laid back riding position is all part of the Nightster emotional experience...the simple joy of riding a motorcycle!

I just bought this exact color gas tank and installed it on my 2022 Black Denim Iron, it gave the bike life and a better look.

I'm 6'4' I've had four sporties everyone says why I didn't buy a bigger bike don't need it. The 1200 is a perfect bike set up right its very versatile and comfortable. Mine is fairly stock engine and exhaust wise. But a great bike. Mine is 08 as well

The classic Sportster - such an iconic motorcycle! That big air cooled V-twin engine with a minimal frame wrapped around it with wonderful torque from what feels like zero RPM. I think a better rear shock with another inch of rear wheel suspension travel would provide a big step up in comfort on the bumps. I wonder if HD will continue to build the 883 Sportster now that the all new 1200 is out?

Iconic motorcycle, sales ended here in Europe in 2020 (due to emissions regulations), I doubt I will ever sell mine.

I have very little experience with Harley Davidson motorcycles. This Nightster is such a different street riding experience compared to my last (2) street bikes (a 2016 KTM 1290 Superduke and 2020 KTM 790R Adventure). For me the Nightster is about the sound and feel of the ride.
