You might be the most cheerful back reviewer on UA-cam, and that's saying something as I follow Chase Reeves too! I'd love to see some "what's in my bag" videos. Any kind of EDC loadout videos are always popular in my opinion. Also, tech pouches. I can't get enough of tech pouches.
Love this review of the backpack! Your video is the very reason why I also spent a STUPID amount of money on getting this backpack. Also, I’m definitely getting the Phoenix CAP 2L soon. I’m excited for you to make a what’s in my bag video with this backpack. Thank you.
I have to say I randomly decided to see how far behind I was in following and liking your videos. I am shocked that you are not past 100k, 500k even 1m subscribers. Quality is excellent, sound is excellent, editing is excellent and your reviews are entertaining, thoughtful and informative. Thanks for this
Thanks for yet another excellent review. This puppy is downright gorgeous and has almost everything I like in a pack (too bad about the back panel/breathing element left out). I'd love to own it but I'm just not ready to plunk down $400 on a backpack when I already own several really nice ones. I hate to admit that but it is true for me. I hope that one day I'll change but right now I have too many great alternatives in my closet that cost hundreds (in some cases) less. I really appreciate your review and your zeal for this beauty though, David. Nicely done!
Not quite as rugged as the cobra. The cobra is an all terrain, all purpose beast. The CPL is fantastic but I’d for sure say it is more “urban rugged” if that makes sense.
Thanks for showing us the Phoenix and your thoughts on it as it is superhelpful! This may be a weird question but do you know if the bag would hold three 32 oz bottles?
Hey David I've had mine for about a week and I noticed the bag at the top sorta slants down from right to left. And then inside the bag the top left corner is all mushed together like it wasn't measured right and there's an excess of material that balls up at the top. Are you seeing this too on your bag or is mine a defect?
Hey sorry for the late reply, just got this bag back from a friend. So the top left corner has the hole for the hydration pack pass through. If the seems are all done up minus that hole you should be good to go. There is a littler extra give at the top of the bag too because of the quick access up there being pretty lose. Hope that helps!
@@DaveSam13 Yes thats great, ive noticed it less with use. I'm not use to a bag being so "baggy" but I am falling in love with it. I appreciate the great reviews.
Yes I’ve heard that from many people. I’m sorry mate but this was a limited edition drop with Carryology. They may have more in the future but you’ll have to keep your eyes on all their websites. I personally think they’ve all moved on to other bags at this point…
BYLT Basics their Elite+ Drop cut Pullover. It's a nice, heavy sweatshirt. I will say it stays fairly cool so wearing it on a cold day is a bit counter productive actually. Hella comfortable though. byltbasics.com/collections/performance-collection/products/mens-elite-drop-cut-pullover?variant=31895011917926
Love your work. And massive thanks for reviewing our collab so damn well. High five!
This is a joy to read. Thank you! And please, keep the collabs coming! ✋🏽
I wanted the orange Phoenix soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. Thats a sexy one

Thanks! Being compared to Chase is a high honor. I’ll definitely be planning some of those videos for the future
That is the brightest interior I think I’ve ever seen! Love it.
We’ll, bag color grading didn’t help it either…
Yes! Make a video of "What's in your bag". That'll be great!
Don’t have to tell me twice!

Thank you! Yes, absolutely epic bag top to bottom. I just got my hands on the ctb26 v2 Phoenix and I’m really excited to use that too!

Thanks friend!! I hope I get there one day too but I’m expecting it to take a few more years…

Thank you!! Believe me I know your struggle haha. I wish I had the same self control too!
You mentioned in the cons part of the video that the bag has a rugged look, how would you say it compares to the cobra?

@@DaveSam13 if you had to choose between them for edc in an office environment, which one fits better?

Thank you!! Yes, easily. Maybe even up to 5
Did you do a video for the 2L?
No not yet

Is this no longer available for sale?
No, limited run through Carryology and evergoods
i do not like original Evergoods fabric because it is lint magnet. where to get this version with xpac? the link provided leads to en empty page.

@@DaveSam13 thanks for the info. and what was the official price? i found some resellers on eBay who charge crazy $500.
The original price was $400 usd. I don’t actually think you’ll find it for cheaper than $500. Or at least not much cheaper.
@@DaveSam13 thank you. for this price it looks more like geeky collectible than real-world-usage backpack.
Generally I would agree, and for sure for this bag. Some bags are just in that price category though like goruck, boundary, and mission workshop
full bag room tour please
Ohhh that sounds like something I could do!
Waiting on my one of batch 2🥰
You’re going to love it!
Nice walk through….very nice voice.
Thank you!
Awesome review ;-)
