I did stand up to my doctor and they told me my “opinion doesn’t matter” - that it is their standard practice to send people back to work and refused to prescribe me anything further for my pain. I am recovering from a trimalleolar fracture to my ankle that I received surgery on barely a month ago!

It's annoying being told by doctors "we have to do what your employer and the development of labor want." No one can feel your pain.

Very honest video thank you Dustin. I switched to a 2nd WC lawyer and I am in LA & law firm is branched in OC & it’s been 15+ months now since my injury. Do you accept cases pending where my primary dr said I am “P&S/QME”? I was given only 30 pound restrictions and this is too heavy for me. I lost money since June & should have been given TTD continued instead of stopped. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Marissa! Sorry to hear that. It depends if you've seen a QME yet and when your injury was. If your injury is over a year old and you've had a prior attorney, we generally don't take the case because it becomes harder to change much at that point. I'd consider telling your attorney to push for a QME, depending on what the medical reports say. But, feel free to call us to see if we can add any benefit to your case 818-861-9675

How long is too long??? Been 2 years for me. Expired my workers comp benefits. Disability forms have been a nightmare to get signed from these doctors. I had a ruptured disk and pinched nerve in my L5 disk and S1 nerve. Chronic nerve damage with half and hamstring(back of thigh) numbness and muscles shut off and cramp everyday. Can barely walk sometimes and doctors are trying to send me back to work for the 2nd time. They sent me back to work in April 2023. I only lasted a month cuz it aggravated my injuries. Doctor pulled me out of work again. Now it’s December been off work since and tried today tried to send me back to work again. Should I find a new doctor this doctor has had me off work for a long time now all of sudden wants to sent me back??? I went making $4400 a month to $1200 a month on disability. Pretty stressed. Got my forms signed tho thank you Jesus! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Be better man...don't mean to offend but you're making some pretty broad generalizations and mischaracterizing the issue. I do not doubt the experiences you're sharing but to make blanket statements suggesting doctors are in the hands of insurance companies is irresponsible. Why does it take 3, 4, or even 5 months to request a new doctor? Could it perhaps be on the end of the state or the insurance company? Or are insurance company angels? Does the state doctor see the patient? One thing is disagreeing with the doctor and another thing is accusing them of malpractice or fraud. Why is it that when I order an MRI for a work related injury it gets denied? Why are the forms so complicated? Why do some of these huge corporations deny claims for minimum wage workers? I was searching for videos to inform myself and to learn how to better care for worker's comp patients and unfortunately this did not help. Thank you and best of luck to you and your clients.
