      She certainly was a hero during the siege "before and after" One who would stand up to marauders,a bold and brave woman,most worthy to be recognised among other great people of Dutch history

    Thank you so much. Being Dutch and old, living in Londen it’s great to share this story with my four daughters and four granddaughters! I actually lived at the Kenaupark in Haarlem in 1980. I even remember the statue of Hannie Schaft being unveiled. There’s a lot of interesting historical and artistic material in and about Haarlem.
