Quite an interesting explanation for such an ironic cheese 🧀 Its great to see this channel being revived again! I was actually aware the pronounciation of what most English speakers would say was wrong not just for the G but also the "ou" since I've heard it creates a unique vowel sound

So glad to hear that - I’m here to stay now as I figured out the things that I want to talk about and show without being overwhelmed: it’s going to be a combination of dutch history, traditions, cultural traits, current important things, as well as places to visit and things to do (plus something else I’m working on but can’t talk about just yet!) It keeps it interesting for me (and hopefully the audience haha) and there’s enough change of subjects for me to enjoy it😄😌 And yess, the ‘ou’ sounds is also unique, same as ‘oe’ ‘oei’ ‘aai’ ‘ui’ etc. we tend to like to put them all together for some reason🤣

Year + aged gouda cheese is my guilty pleasure. What a delightful food! The city is a calm place surely worth a day trip.

Yess, it's so good! Although, I personally think there are even better Dutch cheeses than Gouda. And yes, Gouda is such a nice place to visit - it deserves to be seen!

I would like to apologize on behalf of all Americans who have been mispronouncing "Gouda" since the beginning of time. I have no idea why we were taught it was "Goo-duh." :(

Hahaha apology accepted🤣I think it's because the Dutch 'g' and such do not exist in English. And because of that we often tend make pronounce certain words in our own way. Now it's your job to correct everyone 😂😋
