Update: Landlords brother did shoe up after this video ended and assured us they are comitted to keeping the house in good maintenance, they will address concerns as they arrise :)
Yeah right!!😄
@@vvf1 4 SURE 😂 🤣 😂
Too bad I didn't get a hold of you a few hours before regarding this house here. The location isn't what your looking for but the house here is a great deal. Hopefully the people of your new home will be much better landlords then your last home because your new home is very nice.
Float switch of the water tank is possibly defective.
@@normandinoz there is one and it works but the pump was not on and the disconnect was turned off ut the city water that is flowing into the house up into the tank that's the issue is its fed two ways
Congratulations Michael and Bianca!!! We are so happy for you guys!
Hi Bianca, that tree is what we call the enchanted "BALITE" tree. In folklores, it is used to housed a "kapre", a huge mythical creature that holds a tobacco and looks for beautiful woman during the night. So beware of that kind ot tree Bianca!
And the hardest thing about in moving places is you are going to start all over again from fixing your home stuffs and knowing your new neighbors next door to know them and to build a new friendship again.
Okay so much for that, hope you both shall have a good stay at your new love nest.
I was very concerned to hear about the strict lease rules. That ceiling sagging filled me with dread, that may be that was from water leaks in the past. So I'm glad the water issues seems to be confined to the tank. Also, those kittens are impossibly cute lol. I'm hoping that you are much happier in this new place. The location does seem to be ideal.
3rd generation carpenter here, did custom remodeling running my own company 20 plus years,,those cracks are from water setting up there,,from rain or condensate,,either way it will deteriorate, May want to get it inspected before it comes down..good luck..
General Contractor and Engineer here and you are 100% correct, I was saying the exact same thing, Cheers from Calgary Alberta Canada 🍹
Good luck on your new home and you are so lucky you got good friends. Amazing job Pinoy friends and thank you for all your help...kababayan
Congratulations on your new home guys ! remember this, you will always have issues so don't get frustrated and just deal with the problems, everything happens for a reason !
wrong, not everything happens for a good reason, we need to do due diligence, or things will "happen" for the wrong reasons. I like Michael and Bianca, but they are way to trusting, this move will be just as bad as the last one or worse I am betting.
@@kleerogers Listen, I'm trying to give them some inspiration here, I'm sure they are frustrated but you saying that things will only get worse or as bad as the last one !, C'mon buddy seriously ! If you like Michael and Bianca as you stated then give them some hope and words of encouragement, Please and thanks
It's the Philippines remember.....
@@catinthehat5080 that’s not going to help, honesty and frankness are needed here
@@laurencehyde2168 I am very much aware, I live with a Philippian !
Congrats! The house looks good despite the water issues. Well done you guys are going to make it!
Sorry, I'm not feeling this place. Ceiling sagging in places, rotted area in bathroom, stray dogs barking at night and a super strict lease you can't get out of. It's a done deal, so I hope it works out.
Congratulations on your new lovely house!!! Hope you don't encounter anymore headaches like from the previous one.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
🙏🏽🙏🏽💙
Hope u guys r happier with ur new living situation!😊🙏🏽🙏🏽
I know that church in the beginning of the video! Thats awesome how close you are recording from home. 👍 Maybe one day we could all meet up.
Congratulations on your new home. Hope yall are getting settled in well and are still liking the new place.
It's nice to see that you got into the house you like and it looks like a nice one.
Iloilo is a beautiful city and one of the best in the Philippines, but my gosh it rains a lot there. My wife had been at the family home in Dumangas for quite some time and I dropped by for a couple of weeks before we headed home to our place in Pampanga (San Fernando) but it hardly ever rains here, and that's one thing I love about this area.
I hope everything works out well at this place. You've been thru a journey! Thank you for showing all of this. It's real life in the Philippines.
Keep a good eye on that roof sag!
Congratz on your new place!
congratulations on your move to a nicer home. especially now that the water issue is fixed. I think this new home will fit your needs, especially the up stairs balcony. was wondering if when the owners showed up with the paperwork, that you showed them the issues with the ceiling problems. this could be pricy if they don't fix it for you. yeah, it'll take at least a week to get everything settled in so its your home. so glad you decided to leave that money pit you were in. and little to no cooperation from the owners. I wish you lots of luck and enjoyment in your future.
Congratulations my fellow Canadians! Love your house hunting videos!
Sounds like they need to install some type of float switch and valve on the water tank, that will shut off the city water flow when the tank is full.
My gosh, that's in our subdivision! We're gonna be neighbours 🎉 I hope you'll still be there when we come home to the Philippines 😊
Anytime a homeowner go completely out of their way to hold you hostage for one year in the Philippines, that raises major red flags for me…I suspect you guys will unfortunately find many many issues with this place…. That’s a educated guess….based on all the documents they produced and how much effort they took to keep you from getting out of the lease…I’ve not seen a landlord go to that extreme
I did not skip the ads for you guys..i hope you found the perfect house ..
I am glad that you've chosen that one. That was my favourite house among the rest. Congrats!
Bianca they are volunteers you should show enthusiasm in helping to lift things , that little girls carry more things
I saw you both yesterday at festive bottle grounds ❤️ Im always watching your vlogs.. Such a very down to earth couple. I love you both🫰🫰
Be careful not to accidentally take the termites with you. Carefully inspect all wood furniture before you take it to the new house.
Eho in the world is interested on taking the termites ?? Like...Hey Termites ..
Come On , Lets Go..
Geeezzz
@@wahoowahoo2341 Not taking them on purpose. But I know it happens by accident all the time with bug infestations.
@@donaldbooker1513 Ahh Okay
We checked them all out beforehand, thanks to the subscribers warning us. Probably only got lucky because we owned verryblittke furniture and only in rooms termites hadn't reached yet
@@wahoowahoo2341 you don't know termites. You could inadvertently take them with your old furniture to your new place. That's what he meant.
Congrats with the new house! Hopefully this will be better this time!!! The water tank was jinx😞😞
Loved it i feel this will be an improvement from your last home
Congratulations on your new house. We've been watching your videos non stop in our TV in our living room. I liked it and when I use my phone I like your videos again. We've just been to the Philippines for more than six weeks (January 15 to February this year and back in Chicago March first). We are taking notes of your travel like Fatima Farms and Maples Farm in Ilo Ilo. We are planning to go back to the Philippines for business. We enjoy your house tours too and your vlog about who you really are. Michael and Divina Bianca God bless and more power!
I can't wait to see everything unpacked and in its proper place.
so that's why landlords put so many added clauses on that contract... so you cant back down now as youre now seeing the house flaws.
i think you need to install solar lights outside... so it will still be well lit even though your not home and travelling.
Congrats guys! Moving sucks but I’ve always enjoyed the decorating once moved in. Can’t wait to see D’s room come together especially! 💖🍓🌈⭐️🌸🦄🐰💋
Not sure if its been covered yet, but having a Charles Schwab account is great when you're overseas. You can access any ATM and all fees are reimbursed. I love being able to walk up to bank of ATMs with a line of people, usually the BDO and BDI machines, and just walk up and use the other ATMs. You can withdraw up to P50k a day.
Congratulations on your new place new house and God bless your new home .
You guys have landed !! Hurrah & congratulations once again. Busy times getting settled but will be sorted before u know it. Bit worried about the saggy ceilings so hope the landlord gets that checked out. Is that water damage & mould on the outside back wall? Do they have excess water issues or is this normal rainy season residue? Cracking house for u both and i trust the neighbours will welcome u in xxx
Anytime someone wants you to sign that many documents and they're that petty, there's something wrong. They're covering their butt because they know that you will find out eventually and want to move, and then you're stuck. Good luck anyway great video.
that is exactly my thoughts
I agree with that assessment. I'm very concerned . Also, it seems strange with the current tight property market there, that there would be several months with no electricity use. Why were they not able to rent it during that time? I hope my concerns are unfounded.
@@tryscience your concerns are not wrong, sadly
The owner is a lawyer so hopefully that is the only reason is that's all they do every day
@@BiancaBeyond So why would they leave the place empty for several months instead of renting it out? According to the electric bill
That’s sucks! I’m sorry about that guys! You guys just moved in there and something came up
already. Home owners and agents are supposed to disclose to the renters. They can’t keep secrets!
I'm not wearing socks. That house looks very nice and I love the balcony!
Glad to know you’ve already moved into your new house 🙂🙏
You both are bless by God because it is much easy for you compared with the orfinary peple to find a house you wanted and negotiate for a good price because you are popular thru youtube and many wanted to help on your concerns. Keep it up Michael and Bianca your character and attitudes in life and being good to the community is what mattets.
moving house always stressful but lucky you have alot of good friends to help... wish you guys well in your new home
Good luck and congratulations on your new home. 😊
In a new neighborhood with all those stray dogs, be cautious of the kitties venturing outside, even for a few minutes. It would be horrible if something happened to them...
Congratulations to your move. Finally back to reality and what you guys do best. I like the internet speed. How much does it cost?
2400 a month the speed is 😍
Watching the first few minutes of the video, you can bank transfer online to avoid the hassle of paying your rent. Good luck to both of you. I am never skipping ads :)
Congratulations! My family is actually from Iloilo. I visited them around 2018 (right before the pandemic) I miss it all! Anyway, enjoying the vlogs ❤
MS . BIANCA & SIR MIKE , CONGRAT'S ON YOUR NEW HOUSE . 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️👍👋✌️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Hopefully your new place is comfortable and no issues like before. I am moving to Ilo on November 2. Have an AirBnB booked for a month near Megaworld as I figure it will be my base for spending the month trying to find a western built house with no roosters, dogs, Karaoke or road noise...I know I'm dreaming but that's my goal. A recent video of your showed an area with multiple tennis courts. I would love to find a place near there as I'm an avid tennis player and if you can find a club with enough courts then you'll have a great base for fun and meeting new friends/players. If you could tell me where that club is and it's full name would be great....Thanks in advance, Rob
The tennis courts are in Lapaz, the country club might have tennis courts in Santa Barbara but I am not sure.
BGC is where we are moving, no dogs, no roosters, clean and everything works, no brownouts. You get what you pay for. Living in BGC is great, you can do side trips all over the Philippines, then return to a western style of living, like we all want. It is easy to go forward in life, but nearly impossible to go backwards, many say they can live in the provinces, that is because they can not afford more western style areas, so they put up with a lot. Not my cup of tea to put up with a lot of crap, but to each their own.
Thats a lot of water wasted . just shut down the valve that brings up the water, then open it at night to fill up your tank.
I rest my case,,This is why we moved back from Bohol to the good old USA..Just too much bullshit to deal with for us with two kids..But good luck,You guys have great attitudes..
You guys been thru a lot...hope everything works out for both of you
Congratulations on your new home
For the tank u need a LEVEL CONTROL VALVE this will stop water from flowing when the tank is full
Congratulations to you both! Glad to see you're settling into a new home. Your previous absentee landlord was a total ass. But sorry to hear you had water problems so soon. Your water bill is gonna be huge. Good to hear your new landlord has promised to fix what is broken. Those sagging ceilings are gonna need replacing, and if those are on the 2nd floor, then the roof and gutters will need inspecting soon -- before typhoons become more regular.
Yes the overly strict lease contract is disconcerting.
Seems to me that needed repairs have not been completely attended to. Typically, landlords rely on incoming monthly rentals for repairs, as well as to augment their own home budgets. If rental has not been coming in, as obvious from the previous months' zero electric bills, then, more than likely, they have not completed proper repairs.
Not everything is more fun in the Philippines.
It's good that you guys are settling in. I do notice that a lot of things are one sided here. That isn't a very fair contract but what can you do, right? I'm sure when and if you guys try to contact the care taker of the house, it will be difficult. That's just the way things are ran here. The house is very nice though. Hopefully they will take your concerns of the house seriously. Enjoy your new home and once again, congratulations.
Owner is a lawyer and every point we tried to get changed was refused
It is awesome to see real world scenerios Thank you for sharing
A fresh & new beginning 😎
EXCELLANT WISH YOU THE BEST, SHOUT OUT FROM GERONA TARLAC LIVING TRHE DREAM
There should be a float valve when it reaches it maximum water level it will shut off automatically
Cracked sagging ceilings may cause intense heat going into the house. I've experience that from our old house back in the day. have them sealed. it might make your AC work harder to cool the room during the day time specially.
Excited to see your new place
nice pad, got a few issues, hope your landlord is responsive.
I love the Terrace beautiful views
ask your landlord to fix the water tank issue before it becomes worst.
be a smart money saver.... you can buy old or new house or rent to own house there if available...
Only once Davina gets her citizenship can we do this. For now only things we could buy is a condo
BDO is the busiest bank in the Philippines and online banking is always ruined so I switched to Union Bank and everything is always smooth. Better move to Union Bank.
Globe ☹️ made me wait 1:15 hrs with only 1 person getting served before me in that 1hr ish 😬 then when I get served to sort out my internet issues I should have been told to go to a different area which had no queue 🤪 the level of incompetence is super high in the Philippines 🇵🇭 try to figure out the best and fastest processes or you will be extremely frustrated 😳 driving you to drink Red Horse beers 🍺
Good luck on your new home my fellow Canucks 😊
I just had an "aha" moment with your multiple power meters issues. Here in the states if you do an addition to your residence, and the original electrical service was say 125Amp service, and the addition will exceed that. You do an upgrade to the residences service. So like we did years ago, we upgraded our electrical service from 125Apm to 200Amp service to cover the addition. I'm guessing that in the Philippines when an upgrade is done to a residence, and it will exceed the original services capabilities, they just add a second meter, and it spins up when the additional systems turn on. I'll know for sure later this year when we do our addition to our PI province house. !!!-Mabuhay-!!!
Iloilo City ... nice peaceful and one of the oldest city in the Philippines ... with lots of history... and rich in Spanish heritage. Congrats ...
New subscribers here from italy ❤ you will badly missed the Philippines when you moved out for sure 😜
Philippines has two seasons Rainy season and summer
A neophyte landlord. The most important criteria in renting to someone is character and income. I would love to have you as tenants.
We'll stop by and visit you guys when we're home. We have a unit at Lafayette Park Square at Megaworld. We are still in California. Halong!
The electricity grid guys gonna miss ya
There goes the early retirement....
IM SO IN LOVE WITH YOUR BEAUTY BIANCA!
You can always withdraw over the counter and not just from ATMs.
You should be able to switch the hinges on the fridge so it opens the right way.
That ice cream looks very rich- an explosion of flavor. 🤪
Looking forward for your future house .
I'm glad you guys finally found a place to live.😁👍
I like the last house in your last house hunting.
Beautiful house indeed.Good luck and congratulations and stay awesome .It's more fun in the Philippines but the heat is on .Joke 🤣🤣🤣.Mike and Bianca is perspiring like mad .
happy you guys found a nice new house.
HOME SWEET HOME❤
I'm fairly new to your vlogs, never commented before. But this seriously gave me terrible anxiety for you. That caved in ceiling. The water spraying everywhere!! Thank goodness for the cute kitties!! 🐈
We are pretty confident the owners take these things seriously
WOW! Nice... can we meet someday ^_^ Welcome to ILOILO
Yes of course always happy to meet new people
Good luck guy’s ❤
Hi guys. Good luck.
Online bank transfer from one bank to another is possible. You guys don't need to go to the bank branch just to transfer money.
nice neighborhood and area. looks quiet
I liked the fields & open lots of the old neighborhood rental, but I think I will like this even more. It does look quieter, established & I like all the potted plants, too. Also the nearness to the nice eaterie w coffee. Kinda like what Bianca said about the other house toured, this neighborhood to me looks very Philippines. Maybe they can have some potted fruit plant & Sampaguita in their outdoor areas. & catnip plant!
My family lives in Iloilo city
wow , that is so good but I heard that every part of the country now has a high of crime like burglary so make sure your door are always close and gate must be close all the time,
even in a village there are thieves, so be careful it's nationwide it is happening, economy is so bad and some has no way out or earning money to provide thier family, at nite make sure those valuable things are keep , and check all windows and doors locked before sleeping
This man is so cute and he’s wearing a Boston hat, it’s my hometown 😘
I'm glad you left that money pit of a house and settled in your new home. I hope you can relax now.
WE MISS U GUYS
Turn the water off right at the meter
The house looks amazing
Hi, good you video the whole place, so no misunderstanding when you live, the place, coz you hope fully get ur deposit back?
Cthat valve is close but the water is keep flowing inside because its not fully closed inside . That is not a good quality check valve
