Thank You 🙏 so much for the info I recently purchased string and cables from you. I should be receiving them this week sometime can’t wait too get back hunting again. Ravin factory sets are junk. Keep the info coming 👍🏽
Great video I’ve learned a lot watching your videos I just picked up a Mathews creed xs 70 pound I want to back it down to 60 pounds I don’t have a scale or a shop close how many turns can I back the limb bolts out
I'm purchasing a ravin rx5 I'll be practicing alot this summer I'm going to want to get a set of cables and strings for hunting season, how much for 2 sets
Will splice my own cables and strings from Dyneema Pro (12 yarn, 3mm braided) cord. 300 to 350 shots on the 3mm. 700-750 on the 4 mm. A little wax on the friction points. Voila.
Because when they stretch and you need to put a twist or 2 in them, you can do that easier with the unserved ends. My Ravin is coming up on 200 shots and thanks to that trick, she still has her original string and cables.
I do appreciate your effort and expertise. However, it was extremely difficult to learn much about string change from the video. Camera was not on subject. i have an R26 and was hoping to see more detail.
If that knock does not snap into that receiver and snap, it will absolutely not fire! You will not get a dry fire! You could tug on that trigger with a 6.7 diesel and it will not fire.
Beautiful crossbow, but this is exactly why I have an excalibur. You clearly no what your doing, if I'm out in the field and I have a string malfunction I need to have the ability to change my string myself. Good video bud
Well with the R26 and 26X at 340 pounds.....that's A LOT of pressure for that skinny string and tiny cables.......and stock 400 grain arrows are WAY TOO LIGHT.
Just buy an Excalibur recurve style crossbow and you can shoot 1000 arrows on the string and it’s fine.. you also can change at home simple takes 2 minutes… all this can shit with these ravin crossbows and having to change string/cables every year or every 250 shots is insane… ($140 each time for new cables) if you enjoy shooting your crossbow and like to target shoot with it and Have fun this crossbow is not what you should buy seriously.. this is for hunting only not shooting for fun at all.. sad if your buying this to hunt only and never shoot it cause you don’t wanna keep buying cables/strings.. sad
I agree bud! I have 7 Excalibur's and you can't beat their customer service- However, I also own an R10 & R5X that I use for hunting as I use my Excalibur's for target shooting, but I would have no problems using my Excals for hunting either... And you are correct, it gets expensive changing the C&S on the Ravin's. Fortunately, I bought my own press
@@kurtglo ya, I hunt with my crossbow or unused to, not so much lately so mainly target shoot and the ravins are just too much maintenance.. you can’t shoot o w hundreds of times a month without changing the strings.. which is ridiculous as they are $150-$200. String on my revx is like $30 and I usually change it once a year with damn near 1000 shots in it
@@xGR1MxREAPERx Revx. what's that? lol. I bought one and started having problems with the decock and it's been at their warranty service since sept 15th. Just got a message today saying that it's going to be sent to Canada for repairs because they are too busy in Massachusetts to work on their crossbows. I agree with the rev x serving. It will last for several hundred shots
@@kurtglo rev x is a model of Excalibur crossbows.. like I literally said in the post.. lol. All crossbows have a ton of maintenance in limbs and strings etc… on a recurve you can do all the maint and work yourself. In a bow with a bunch of idlers and pulleys 90% of people can’t have pay $100’s of dollars a year to fix or change parts. This is if you actually shoot a bunch with your crossbow, if you buy it and barely use it then who gives a fuck
Great Video Jeremy! Love your Strings! Center Servings are always tight, and no Gapping. A+ construction!
I’ll be bringing mine in when I need new strings👍

What is the length of the cables on the R26?
Have you done a video of centerpoint patriot 425
Yes I have a centerpoint cp400 and a ravin r10 can you tell me if the cams and cables are the same length.
Thanks for the video. But you DO realize that you got the camera on the wrong side?
Interested in strings and bow compressor!
I don’t think that crossbow will dry fire without the bolt clicked in,
It won’t shoot without a Raven bolt clicked in

How much is your strings and how can I purchase them.
Question
Why not serve the loops ends?

how much to restring and cable?
Your bow shop will usually do it for free if you purchase their strings

That's bc you were using a 6.7 😂

Can you recommend a good string for me...bc I have a Excalibur Suppressor and this thing eating my strings. After 50 shots the middle serving is gone!
Why are you so scared to learn new things..?
@@Shiwwy your string latch needs polished.
You most likely have a burr that needs taken care of.
I know aftermarket strings will void warranty but I need it reliable and not cracking my limbs

Aftermarket strings void the warranty
