Love your Grandpa Kate he is the voice of experience and he has the knowledge to enable future generations to be the best they can be. Listen and take heed of every word he says Kate. All your grandpa’s advice will be invaluable when you are running the farm on your own in the future.
Hello little Kate, thank you for this video. We don't shaw not enough the big problems that faemers can face. Thank you your dad and your grand dad for their explications. Have a nice day.
Kate, I appreciate your passion for farming. You are a sponge when listening to her Dad, Uncle, and grandpa to learn about all aspects of the operation. They have a wealth of knowledge to share. Keep up the great work ethic and great video's. This former Iowa farm kid has Montana on my bucket list to venture that way to see the operations in person. It is very impressive. Take care.
Neighbors helping neighbors in the true American spirit is, unfortunately, something that we do not see enough of in America today. You have a very kind and caring family Kate.
I volunteer on the fire department in a farming community... Seen lots of scary fires... I'm actually to busy farming to be dedicated to Fire Department.... But somebody has to do it, help when I can.... One of the few volunteer jobs I do where people come up to me, to let me know they appreciate it!!! Fires can get very serious...very dangerous FAST!!! Big thanks to neighbors and people who are willing to fight these fires. Fighting fires and farming at the same time have made for some long days and nights!! Great video lets people realize how stressful farming can be at times... Farming is never boring always an unexpected situation coming up!!!
Thank you for your great comment and for your service in the fire department. We really appreciate those who are volunteer firefighters because they are the real heroes. All our neighbors help with tractors and discs because it doesn't take long to burn 10,000 acres. It is amazing how quickly our volunteer firefighters can get organized and on the scene! We are very grateful that everyone was safe and so were the animals.
Great content Kate. I'm a rancher in Oklahoma. In the summer during fire season, our winds are so strong in Western Oklahoma that it is almost impossible to put a big fire out! Keep up the great content young lady!
Fields in the uk have ditches, hedges , roads in between so no spread like this. Not to mention the rain we get. Interesting video, enjoy your harvest 😊
That's amazing how fire's can hurt the farmer's, your amazing Kate on what you do to show people what you farmer's have to deal with , your a very smart farmer and learning a lot from your dad which will help you in the future with all your farming, thanks again Kate 😀
You did a great job on the play by play of the Wheat fire, didn't realize it was that dangerous, Kudos to You Young Lady...I loved that Piano Riff at the end of your video, finally was able to hear the entire piece of Fifth Ave Stroll...

They've been around for along time and good people to be around especially your Grandpa. Try to keep hanging around them, a lot of wisdom to be gained from being around them. Enjoy your videos.

Here in Northern Michigan, when the farmers and ranchers need help, we are one family when we need or don’t need each other. We love your videos, keep them coming.
This year in North Dakota we've lost a lot of acreage to fires because of the cigarette flickers out the window on our highways! Good coverage of this fire looks like it went a long way up that Cooley. Good Drone footage showed where the disc did their thing! I enjoy your interviews with your granddad, I see where your father gets his sense of humor.
When I was a kid, in the 1950's, I used to ride the train from the titanium mine way up in the Adirondack high mountains down to the port of Albany, NY. The heavy trains and hot iron brake shoes would spark fires all the way down out of the mountains. At night, you could see a ring of fire around the wheels. The fire companies would all go on alert when they heard us coming, blowing the horn for the crossings.... Glad you're all safe and the Lord switched the wind around! WillyB
Oh my...so sorry you had a feild fire so close to you and had crop damage. Glad you and your family are all safe. I grew up in Libby Montana, but live in Washington State, I come home two times a year, I pass through Spokane Washington through Moses lake, and Quincy so I get to see the beautiful. They are one of the most beautiful things on this Earth!!! Thank you for sharing the videos, and thank you for your hard work at farming. 👍👍 .
It shows how important it is to have equipment like the disk and water trucks on hand for harvest. If it isn't lightning, it is dust and chaff in the combines. In my part of Northeastern MT we have fires in places it takes an hour or more for the fire department to get to. The locals are great at trying to get the fires out. My hat is off to them!
You definitely should continue your interviews with grandpa! I'm sure he's full of great stories from his farm life as well. Good job with your channel. Live "on the scene" reporting!
Hello from Texas I really enjoy watching this channel. What an awesome family. Thank you so much for sharing Kate. You are a very impressive young lady with a bright future ahead under the guidance of those great men in your life. Hats off to you all. Stay safe!
New subscriber and I love the videos, you do a good job driving those big machines. It’s always nice to see people that want to share how farming is and what farmers do. It means a lot to a future first generation farmer that people want to share how farming goes and the triumphs and tragedies of farming. People don’t really teach how to deal with a field fire. btw the videos are very informative
I remember my grandpa had a field fire out on his farm. I was only about 10 years old at the time so to me it was very scary. I remember my uncle's helping him to control it. There were others with water trucks helping to put it out....stay safe out there.👍
Glad to see what a coolee is! I remember seeing those places in big fields when we visited Glacier National Park! Good coverage of scary moment Kate! I love your grandpa! Feature him some more! Take care now and God bless!
I think a fire like this is very dramatic if you've never seen it. But it just happens sometimes and you have to do the right thing. Thank you for the insight into your important work. 🙋🇩🇪
I think these farmers need to look into the old way or preventing fires from jumping between different farms, it's called a fire break. It's a stretch of green grass, cut regularly at the edge of your property and/or by roads. Preventive is better
A tractor sitting with a tank of water is a good idea to have close by and get on top of ot before it gets out of hand also stop and blow equipment out everty once in a while is a good idea
A great but sad video Kate. I would think the hardest thing for your self and those helping you combine as the feeling of helplessness, nothing you can do but watch. I am glad that no lives or property were damaged, loss of part of a crop can be covered. I really like what you show us Kate, and applaud what you do.
Amazing and interesting video, always learn something every time I watch your video's Kate. You do a fantastic job on the farm and the video's also, thank you so much Kate.
As a rural firefighter I seen a ton of these fires. Nothing beats a tractor and disc at fighting these fires. We pull the brush trucks out of the fields and let the tractors work.
Where I worked in Eastern Oregon hay field fires can burn so quickly when the winds are high and are very dangerous. The farmers all worked together to put them out. I never saw a field fire when I was working as a hand on the Ranch. The Cowboys told me about them. Lightning started the fires. Great video. Thanks Kate's AG for this informative video. :)
I farmed with my father until I was 23 in the UK and we had a combine fire. Pretty frightening because when you are on the combine you don't know the machine is on fire because the smoke looks like dust at first and when you are concentrating on the header its really in your peripheral vison. Unfortunately, by the time the driver realises the machine is usually really well alight if no one else is in the field. Then the field is also quickly on fire in minutes. The fire service is of course miles and miles away and a field of dry standing wheat on fire in a wind just rips through with a sheet of flame.
Love your Grandpa Kate he is the voice of experience and he has the knowledge to enable future generations to be the best they can be. Listen and take heed of every word he says Kate. All your grandpa’s advice will be invaluable when you are running the farm on your own in the future.

You definitely should continue your interviews with grandpa! I'm sure he's full of great stories from his farm life as well. Good job with your channel. Live "on the scene" reporting!
Thank you for your wonderful and kind words!
Hello from Texas I really enjoy watching this channel. What an awesome family. Thank you so much for sharing Kate. You are a very impressive young lady with a bright future ahead under the guidance of those great men in your life. Hats off to you all. Stay safe!
Thank you for your huge compliment and wonderful kindness Mr. Terry!
Wow Kate, Pretty exciting video. That was a big fire. Glad no one was hurt or any equipment lost
Thank you for your kind words! Everyone is safe!
Thank you so much for your wonderful and kind words!!!! You made my day!
I remember my grandpa had a field fire out on his farm. I was only about 10 years old at the time so to me it was very scary. I remember my uncle's helping him to control it. There were others with water trucks helping to put it out....stay safe out there.👍
Thank you for your great story and kind words!
Love how calm the old men are, been there done that attitude. Not much we can do about it.
Thank you so much!
Glad to see what a coolee is! I remember seeing those places in big fields when we visited Glacier National Park! Good coverage of scary moment Kate! I love your grandpa! Feature him some more! Take care now and God bless!
Thank you for your great story and kind words!! I will try to get Grandpa on video more often!!!
Whew!!!! The grain bin was prolly freaking out, as the flames approached. Well done Super Kate and everyone!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you so much for your great comment and kind words! Yes I bet the grain bin was freaking out.
I think a fire like this is very dramatic if you've never seen it. But it just happens sometimes and you have to do the right thing. Thank you for the insight into your important work. 🙋🇩🇪
Thank you for your kind words!!!
This video is 9 months old and you still replying to comments nice 👍🏻
Thank you for your great comment!!!! I try and sometimes I get behind but I am very grateful that people take the time to comment!!!!
A great but sad video Kate. I would think the hardest thing for your self and those helping you combine as the feeling of helplessness, nothing you can do but watch. I am glad that no lives or property were damaged, loss of part of a crop can be covered. I really like what you show us Kate, and applaud what you do.
Thank you for your kindness! It is a terrible feeling because there is nothing I could do.
Amazing and interesting video, always learn something every time I watch your video's Kate. You do a fantastic job on the farm and the video's also, thank you so much Kate.
Thank you so much for your kindness!!!!
We love grandpa
That is awesome!!! Thank you for your great comment!
Kate you are a natural reporter and great editor
Thank you so much!
As a rural firefighter I seen a ton of these fires. Nothing beats a tractor and disc at fighting these fires. We pull the brush trucks out of the fields and let the tractors work.
Thank you for your great story and for being a firefighter!
Very glad you all didn't lose any crops and that the fire went down as quick as it did. Stay safe out there young lady!
Thank you for your kind words!!!!
I love that interview with your dad. You are a great journalist. That new combine rocks!

Don't forget dads new combine. Important.
Thank you for your great comment!!!
Glad no one was hurt. Be safe out there.
Thank you for your kind words!!!!
Wow! Isn't it amazing how people come together and help each other out. So glad everyone is fine.
Thank you for your kindness!
Thank you for your kind words and great story!!!
You’re doing a wonderful job! Greetings from Poland for all of You.
Hello from Montana! Thank you for your kindness!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@KatesAg thank you too.
Yes that is exactly what can happen!!! Thank you for your great story!!!
Ich wünsche euch alles Gute und viel Gesundheit und bleibt Gesundheit
Vielen Dank für Ihre wunderbare Freundlichkeit!
