She should have done a Pinups type album and sung all the wannabe gals tunes. Or gone Ray of Light with even more obscure rock tunes. Are those cassette's she flings about on her Instagram etc the only copies of her pre pre-career stuff ?
Steve is so humble and understated…I was there with him in the NYC loft when he was first molding his signature electronic sound. That sound was the foundation of the Madonna musical journey and influenced a decade+ of music production. Such a great talent!
This was INCREDIBLE. Honestly, you both asked all the questions I had. How incredibly kind and gracious is Stephen? I've been waiting such a long time to hear an interview with him like this. Thank you so very much for uploading this! What I wouldn't do to hear those unreleased M songs!
Started this podcast and all of a sudden 59min gone🙏🙏🙏aside from all the great stories, what a nice & friendly & kinda selfless person. It seems like u r listening to a friend, so down to earth respectful and calm. Oh btw, can I please dive deep in his brain and memories😂😂 need to find this song, what is it called „there‘s a kiss“? It probable is a huge treasure🤭 incredible this song somehow fell thru the cracks. Thank u so much for this interview…and Stephan probable u are not aware how much u gave to the people worldwide, thank u thank u thank u,history. Can all people pls have Stephens character🙏😉
And it is obvious he had moved on and had not thought about them much as it appeared he did not remember the time frame and periods of many of the songs they brought up.
the real question everyone wanted an answer to that you never asked is why the two of them stopped working with one another..... LOL 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
His production of The Color Purple was OH MY GOD amazing!
'Baby Love' is still epic till this day!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾♥️
Agreed, and I've been listening to Madonna since 1983, and I STILL think "baby love" sounds like Madonna. Especially chorus.

I hope you guys ask him about the unreleased songs warning signs etc thank so much for asking him about the other demos
And it is obvious he had moved on and had not thought about them much as it appeared he did not remember the time frame and periods of many of the songs they brought up.
Should've ask Steve Bray to sing Warning Signs so we know how it would sound like.
Karen Carpenter's favourite singer was Donna Summer.
I think it was her very good friend Dionne Warwick.
He have a great memory
Raw/Soundtrack "Into The Groove"🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾♥️
Madonna was best when she collaborated with Stephen Bray and Patrick Leonard.
Madonna sounds like Karen Carpenter on her song "Thank You" from her "Music" album
Ghosttown and Rain are her most Karen like songs.
There is no such song "Thank You" on Music.
its Michael Hutchence not Hutchenson.
WILL HE WORK WITH M AGAIN?
Her name was Cheyenne. She recorded Into The Groove first. Madonna's version is way better!💯🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
It's a shame Bray never produced a ballad for Madonna. I have a feeling it would've been hot.
