Would like to see this again with the SS finished bolt on wise. Throttle body and Intake manifold. Still dont think the SS would win but would be cool to see the difference with a full bolt on car.
I would hardly consider that SS bolt on Not with the stock throttle body and intake manifold and stock headers. I bet it didn’t have a trans tune either. More like intake and tune SS
Hmmm I wonder how the SS would perform if it was fbo Pray tuned with the transmission unlocked. Not bad for an SS, but the ZL1 1LE definitely got more power at top end. 👍🏻
Micael Sang yeah I think it would be a better race he better do it soon so we can re run while I’m stock cause the Zle ain’t going to be stock for long 😉
All that SS need is MSD IM with 103 throttle body for top end to match or beat that ZL1. For $5,000 with installation fee not a bad deal. Now you add cam setup on top of that and the SS is golden. Still requires some fuel delivery modes though.
When i started driving in '94, you couldnt really just buy cars this fast like you can today. You actually had to know how to build motors and MAKE your shit fast. And when you won, you were damn proud of that engine you built. Today all you have to do is get a loan, maybe bolt on a few things.......
Continental extreme contact 3 on my 19 ZL1 with no issues. From a dog or roll! Only spin a little on a dig. Never spun on a roll and the car is modified.
He's gonna need an msd intake manifold, 103mm tb, 2" headers, the catless pipes, and he may be close to you for sure. If he does anything over a stage 2 cam then he's got you beat.
You crazy all that shit besides the cam he still won’t be at 500 wheel. And depending on the size cam he still getting whipped less he gets a BIG ONE!!! I’ve had both I know trust me
u can shift with the gear select lol, it’s how my boy shifts his ss. i drive a big turbo focus st 6mt. i used to think it was cringe too how they would shift like that lol.
ZL1 1LE never does as well as std ZL1 - more aero drag and rolling resistance (bigger tires). Hope you had that A10 in track mode and just left in auto, the A8 sucks
@@hashslingnslashr463A FBO SS with heads and cam is in the 10s...it will certainly beat a stock ZL1....and thats about 7 grand if you do your own labor.
Hahahaha no they are all actually very comfortable especially if you get magnetic ride how ever the ZL1 with the 1LE package is not as it has a more track focused suspension
A ZL1 will beat just about any ss with basic bolt ons. You'd have to throw a bigger cam on the ss to compete with the zl1 and even then the zl1 camaro would still be the favorite over the ss.... Now a twin turbo setup on an ss would be a slight favorite over the zl1 but that's more of a drivers race.

No surprise here. Very simple bolt ons does not even come close to the supercharged power. But fun to see em both run!
