Check out Roskilde 2011 and live in the kpit with Scott Kelly if you haven’t. Those are the king of mastodon performances. Their adult swim show and their 2016 bloodstock one rule also. I think the vocals are better in all of them than this one but this is still a great vocal performance.
It's amazing how well they divy up the vocals, having each of them being capable of doing lead on a song instead of just the same one every time like most bands do.
@@konetampere is that a symbol for Euros? I wish I had R$ 1500 (Brazilian currency) down the back my sofa. But guess what, right now € 1,00 is worth R$ 6,44... Unfortunately! If you do the maths, R$ 9750 and that's what I call a distant dream
I'm also a night owl that listens to music at 3AM on 200 Watt Technics house speakers made in the 80s. Only difference is I drink homemade mead. I get it man I really do
Jesus, I remember I saw them live after the album leviathan came out, I was 16 at the time, after the show I spoke to Brann for about an hour, he came out and no one went up to him so I walked up with some friends and we just shot the shit about drums and other bands. They are old now, and so am I😪
Exactly the same age, but in 2006 seeing them touring Blood mountain before it's release. Came here after seeing them play their newest song on TV and i am so happy I got along for this amazing ride
@@notsure4018 they played nothing from remission? They would always play March of the fire ants back in that time and always played iron tusk/fire ants back to back because they transition them perfectly, been doing it ever since leviathan released. Wouldn’t surprise me if they did play all of leviathan but i would be pretty surprised if they didn’t even play fire ants or something like mother puncher which is still in sets for them today.
@@puppetmaster8551 Nope, leviathan only. Just before their set started, they mentioned the new record coming out in a week.. Then blasted into blood and thunder.
El tema pop del disco. Ya no escucho metal, pero Mastodon siempre vuelve, siempre aparece hasta el día de hoy en mis listas de reproducción. Excelente banda, gran sonido característico.
whatever vocal effects they have going on bring this to another level. i always thought their live production lacked something when they would be on late night.
Late night do always fuck up Their sound but this one is actually pretty solid. Even the new recent one of them performing trae drinking the mixing and sound shit is all fucked up And fucked their performance up even tho they themselves sounded solid. Seems these kind of shows can almost never nail the sound correctly for mastodon
Bit of chorus is all it is, not really any trickery just a subtle effect and lots of talent. I think they have both been working on their lung capacity a bit too.
I remember seeing them in Philadelphia, they played a place called the kill-time, they only had a demo out. A blank CD with the band name written on it... They have come a long way since signing from relapse records...
Seriously killer vocal performance -- I haven't listened to these guys much since leviathan and I've obviously been missing out. Too bad there's so much bloody cymbal wash in Brann's mic.
This dude on the bass guitar... it's just freaking awesome. Like a caveman playing bass with pure anger. Rock 'n Roll is not dead yet, dude ;)!
That is troy sanders and yes he's a badass.
Gotta check out Killer Be Killed.
@@justinwright1745 So badass he only needs 4 strings
This guy steals girlfriends lol.
Every band needs a Troy
That “yeaaaa” at 1:30. Man that was dope.
YEAAAAH
Troy was fucking FEELING it. Love watching his eyes too. Can tell he really loves performing this song.

i keep coming back for this yeaaaaaaa
That's got to be the best vocal performance I've seen from Mastodon

The Motherload live on Letterman was pretty damn good too
brann's the only one who can sing unfortunately
They deserve a better crowd
Bro, thas what I’m saying. Looked lame asf. I would’ve been going ape shit
Troy's vocals have become more dramatic than Albert Witchfinder's over the years. I never thought I'd live to see the day.
It's amazing how well they divy up the vocals, having each of them being capable of doing lead on a song instead of just the same one every time like most bands do.
That takes some serious full body control to sing and hit drum fills like that at the same time.
Troy has the hair, beard and bass that I would like to have, what a god
His signature Silverburst Jaguar bass is awesome. I also want one but don't have €1,500 sitting down the back of the sofa. Unfortunately.

That’s a slam dunk of a night right there
Without a doubt Mastodon is the band that saved and brought back metal amazing musicianship

Can someone please tell Bam Margera that Ryan Dunn has been Resurrected and Is the lead guitarist for mastodon. Thanks 😅

Amazing band man.
The stupid "Adam Levine" said that "Rock N' Roll was dead", Mastodon says "Show Yourself". Great song.
Who's Adam Levine?

What does Adam Levine know about rock n roll? Bloody nothing, that's what.
Adam Levine sucks balls

Insanely talented band!!
Such a sick tune!!!,
When the drummers vocal ability got noticeably better as did the entire bands.
Damn, I feel like you don't see Mastadon fuck up often. Definitely the first time I've seen it. This song kicks so much ass.
At The Drive-In shirt goes absolutely insane
Very good!
Jimmy Kimmel didn't deserve these guys performing for him.

2 years late to the party, but that's a very tame look for Troy 😂😂

Show Yourself isn't really a dancy song
But they're clapping
MoreDetonation yes it is. The beat and catchy riffs and vocals make it a great dance song
whatever...I thought they wer cool...
Idk why but they remind me of lord of the rings characters and I love it
It's nice to see Danny Masterson keeping busy after "The Ranch" debacle 😂
Funny how you say that since the bassist is wearing an At the Drive-in shirt
I love that Troy is wearing an At The Drive In shirt
