alright i tried this on vanilla and it works like a charm, HOWEVER, it doesnt work on forge (when you cut the string, it simply drops itself and doesnt reattach), do you know why? or how to fix it if theres any config to mess with? currently testing on Java singleplayer 1.21, Forge 51.0.16, no mods (yet)

if your making this on eternos make the farm but do not use the lever the middle ones will work and you will lose a bit if string but you make way more then you lose

Hey im on bedrock i couldn't get this to work cuz the water would still flow when the trapdoor was closed and the string thing didn't work

This works really well on java and if your doing on a server with your friends I did on a fabric server

For those who are not able to break the line with the scissors, the reason for this is that you are not in vanilla, this farm only works in vanilla Minecraft, I tried using Forge and I was unable to do so.

You can use it on forge, but u have to build it on vanilla. I tried it before

I can't make it work on my server where i play with my friends. Does it work on servers like aternos ?

It depends on the lag, if there isn't a lot of lag on the server and it can stay at a pretty constant 20 TPS than you should be good, but if the server is laggy the water will actually break the string

It is very buggy on Paper servers, it isn't an aternos thing, and also not a lag one. I believe u gotta turn pistonDuplication in paper servers' settings file.

Double check to make sure you were facing east when you broke the string with the shears

Basically decoration, but make sure the bottom layer is something that lets you open chests

Nope sorry guys , I couldn't get the string to glich to happen, I think mojang probably fixed that glich , or it never exsited in bedrock

you need to be on a fabric of vanilla server. paper just patches this glitch
