same, actually. it might also have something to do with how much cheaper they cost, how they perform by default (like absolute default, you never customize anything out of it), and how the android community customize their gadgets. if you want to root your Galaxy S21 you might hesitate because 1. you're a newbie at gadgets, and/or 2. you risk warranty, if not the whole phone being unusable. that's like twice the price of a Mi 11 i guess. xiaomi is so much less expensive, making customizing it less risky. my guess is, after that those people come together, and attract others. something as simple as themes, can make your smartphone experience better than those phones that's just pricey and offer somewhat better features than you, that you actually have too.
I've had two different Xiaomi phones over the last 5 years and I've never been happier with any mobile device. Love the customization options, MiUi software, everything.
For the winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Korea for the torch relay, a few companies like KT (mobile career), I think Coca-Cola and Samsung sponsored it. KT and Coca-Cola took back the torches which cost I think around 3 or 400USD each. Samsung gave each person who held the torch the one they ran with as a present. It was a secret present that they gave and never mentioned it in the news. Xiaomi should keep showing love to their "fans" as it genuinely does make an impact.
I bought my first Xiaomi product, a phone, in December last year, to replace my old Motorola which had broken down. My boyfriend was sceptical at first about the quality of the phone (a Redmi Note 9 Pro), but he bought one for himself almost immediately after testing mine. Now we have a robot vacuum, two humidifiers, an air filter, a smart scale and Amazfit smart watches. We love all the products so far. ☺️
I was a huge Apple fun long time ago...and then became the HUAWEI fun before the USA did whatever it was to HUAWEI. Now even I'm still using HUAWEI phone, I'm a huge fun of XIAOMI and will take all of the Smart Home Setting from it. It's changing the way of our life (just like the old Apple)
The first Xiaomi I bought was the Redmi Note 4 back in 2016 and it died 2 years later and had lots of heating issues and screen yellowing. The second Xiaomi was the Poco F3 which I like a lot especially how super snappy it is and storage/ram, I hope it will be more durable than the other one.
The only phone in my entire life I didn't have to change after two years is Xiaomi. After that started buying everything from Xiaomi, best decision ever!
I too did have a mi 5 at the time it was launched and I actually used it up until about 2-3 years ago when I switched to an iPhone 7 plus, only to back and use it for just about a year until I now got my iPhone 12 from work

Tbh i was actually a bit skeptical when i bought my Xiaomi but i was quickly very pleasantly surprised by it. Their biggest strength, i think, comes from the very well balanced quality/price.

@@whitegoodman7465 +1 on the custom rom. Get one that can check all outgoing data in case you get a device with a tricky backdoor. For phones, I just really go either second hand iphone or Sony. Saves a device from being e-waste and takes a super tiny insignificant chunk out of these companies' bottom lines. You get last gen specs but meh with flagship phones, even last gen is still pretty good.
I don't want to brag but as a Xiaomi user, the phones can be pretty strong. It's fallen hundreds of times but never really affects anything interior or exterior.
5.5 years of use. Still good except the battery is weakening as expected. Buy another Mi phone. Same price as before but quality and spec is so shocking good . Superior than Samsung !
Same, mine fell from 1 floor up and had absolutely no issues, though I do use a Xund Case which is a jelly hard case that functions similar to a heavy protection case, but still amazing af. Also my phone usually flies a lot cause I'm clumsy and it's still strong af.
That's absolutely true I has a xiaomi phone for almost 4 years and I've been treating it very badly. It broke after hundreds of strong hits and even though it's painfully slow and kinda shattered, it still works normally.
Thumbs up Xiaomi. I've been using their products for over 6yrs already. Started with Mi4c back then as a competitor for LG G4 spec-wise while costing much less. Later moved to Mi6 a month after it it's global release and still my daily driver, custom rom with android 12, battery still lasts and works perfect (the longest i have ever kept a smartphone, since am a tinkerer both hardware & software-wise ). For an upgrade, am awaiting the global release of Mi-12 in Europe so I can buy it locally and probably throw in their curved gaming monitor on my list. Good job, producing quality and value for money products ;)
Found this brand when I was looking for cheaper alternative for GoPro, and their action camera did so well for the money. Second product was Xiaomi Mi Mix 256GB smartphone, terrible camera but boy that phone was so gorgeous and every time Itook it in my hands that feeling broth me a smile.
He did say in one video that he edits his own videos, he spends a month to go through the whole process to make a video, I think the video was “I quit my job to play with smartphones”
Fun fact: I caused my friends to start using Xiomi products too lol Our lecturer asked which smartphone you have so far, that you never complain anything about it. No one responded and their face tells me that they have none. So i responded and said Xiaomi, bcs it never have any problems, the price is student friendly, always have something interesting i can look up on like in Mi Community, they're responding to the buyers, it's sturdy; screen still survive even after falling a lot haha and of course, gaming phone at affordable prices? who would say no? Sadly a week after that my phone (Redmi Note 5Pro) broke, it sometimes turn off but thankfully it didn't happen often. And a month after that while i and my friends was doing a charity work, painting mural free of charge at a school, an ungrateful girl stole my phone, went to nearby university and reset it. Sigh, i just hope that girl repent on her doing. Anyway, im a loyal customer of Xiaomi and still using their phones XD
That turning off thing happens to my phone and i had a lot of unused storage 120GB on the phone. It still works but with a scratch and water overlay. Its from huawei P smart 2020. Scared that i wont get as much storage as on this phone. Well Hmm long comment..... Well bye!!!!
I've had my Redmi Note 4x for six years now, and besides battery life it's still great. I still like it a lot more than my newer redmi Note 9 Pro, which recently had to be repaired cause it decided to just die and never turn on again... I'm feeling like their old phones were of a higher quality than the ones they're making now though
Same in Poland. Xiaomi takes the first place with over 30% of market share in 2020. I bought myself a Xiaomi phone after 2 extremly bad iPhones that broke every 3-4 months. Now Im looking to make a smarthome based on Xiaomi products. I start with the TV and the robocop cleaner.
Can confirm (sort of) I have a friend who was from Hungary, he moved here to the US and was very surprised he found out that Apple and Samsung dominated the smartphone market with a 3rd place competitor being Pixel phones but were not even close. He told me oneplus, xiaomi, huawei and other Chinese phone manufacturers dominated his country. He even told me how he was very surprised iphones were a lot more cheap here in the US compared to Europe and was considering getting an iPhone
When I first got in to android, I have always been an asus zenfone fan but when the zenfone spark died out, I switched to xiaomi. I bought a lenovo duel 2 recently to upgrade from my mi 10t, ended up selling it to get the mi 11tt pro. Eventhough i have now switched to apple, I was hyped by the release of the xiaomi 12, so I bought it as a secondary phone. Xiaomi really has a special place in my heart.

I bought my first Xiaomi skeptically. I had a Samsung with bad battery life and I was looking for a second phone with great battery. Watched a couple of UA-cam videos and decided to buy one. I've since bought one for my wife and my mother. I tell everyone I know, buy Xiaomi. I don't even know where in my house the Samsung phone is. The Xiaomi phone quickly became my primary phone, then my only phone. I have never looked back.
Yesterday a new xiaomi store opened in my country (only 2nd ever store) and the line to get in was HUGE. i literaaly stood in that line for 3 hours and then inside everyone bought so much there was another line to cash register to pay for products. They were good discounts to 70% off. Crazy stuff
I am from Brazil and here Xiaomi got so famous that it became a meme (yes, in Brazil, if something turns into a meme, it's a good sign) that everywhere you would go and talk about eletronics, someone would say "but do you know that xiaomi has the best cost benefit" and people would say that in mid of the conversation just to cut out people when they where saying about expensive phones lol
i’m just imagining people talking about something semi serious, and someone just goes ‘but did you know that xiaomi has the best cost benefit.’ ‘oh my cat is at a vet’ ‘really? oh no! what are they in for’ ‘oh, they were coughing a lot.’ ‘but did you know that xiaomi has the best cost benefit.’ that would be hilarious
"What you didn't know about Xiaomi". I've been using Xiaomi since 2016 (RedMi 3S, RedMi 4X then Poco F1) and I actually didn't know any of this that you've mentioned. Guess I'm not a Mi-Fan, I'm just cheap XD. But seriously, all these devices are dirt cheap, had great specs and were all in PERFECT condition after 1-2 years when I sold them on ebay for an upgrade. The same can't be said about my HTC and Motorola smartphones from 2009 to 2016. It's been 3 years on my Poco F1 and I literally can't find a reason to upgrade, so I'll stick with it for another 2 years probably.
The only reason I'd upgrade my poco is because of the LCD screen, it's got a few burnt parts by now and I can't wait to get an AMOLED phone, maybe Poco F3 considering how good this F1 turned out
In 2018, my neighbor in Nairobi, Kenya recommended that I should try out Xiaomi phones because my Samsung galaxy was driving me crazy with poor battery life. I watched a few videos online and read reviews on websites, and decided to go with a Redmi phone. Best decision ever, value for money. Now I have a Redmi phone, Mi bag, Mi pens, Redmi washing machine, Xiaomi Android box, Mi watch, Mi earphones, Mi water heater, Mi TV, Mi Dashcam and rear window cam. Every time I think of buy a consumer electronic device, I first research whether Xiaomi have the device. Great company and great products.

@@worldshell2313 Copying others is still miles cheaper than inventing things. Their OS is still mostly Android which means that they get most features for free thanks to Google developments. Apple is doing their entire OS and hardware 100% on their own including their chips. I am not giving anyone shit. But the facts are what the facts are that Apples R&D is miles higher than probably most companies who get a Snapdragon chip with Android as an OS. It's a different strategy and it both works out for both of them.
I am in the Czech Republic. I've bought a Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner (version 1) like 5-6 years ago and for the money, I thought it would be great if it lasts 2 years, then I just replace the battery or the cleaner. Still works like new after over 700 cleanups. These days I needed a new phone.. I didn't even think about it or research it. Went online, found the top 1 Xiaomi sold phone around here, bought it. Very happy with my Redmi 12S... they even made Android 14 better than Google.. the new Hyper OS. Amazing stuff what Xiaomi can do.. for an amazing price. Cool video, thanks.
I'm from the PH, and my first experience of a cellphone from Xiaomi was way back in 2013, when they released a pink phone but with full of features of surprises. It is such amazing that from that phone I used, it became to what I'm using now, which is a Xiaomi phone.
The host is compelling and gives off a frank honest vibe that is completely credible. The information and compliments about XiaoMi are so impressive it makes me seriously consider XiaoMi when I buy my next phone. Seriously effective marketing in this presumably non-affiliated video, so I guess will just ask to clarify: Are there any business or financial ties between XiaoMi and YOURSELF? Regardless, an enjoyable watch.
I have had my Poco phone for over 5 years, it already was an older model. Still works. Still good battery. Still competative for my needs. Only downside I'd say is the ads. In Europe you can turn them all off, except the one when you just downloaded a new app. Downside doesn't weigh up to the fact that they sell great value phones and it still holds up after many years. Best phone I've had.

Same!

Welcome to the fa-MI-ly...
same, actually. it might also have something to do with how much cheaper they cost, how they perform by default (like absolute default, you never customize anything out of it), and how the android community customize their gadgets.
if you want to root your Galaxy S21 you might hesitate because 1. you're a newbie at gadgets, and/or 2. you risk warranty, if not the whole phone being unusable. that's like twice the price of a Mi 11 i guess.
xiaomi is so much less expensive, making customizing it less risky. my guess is, after that those people come together, and attract others. something as simple as themes, can make your smartphone experience better than those phones that's just pricey and offer somewhat better features than you, that you actually have too.

fr. too many people hate it since its a chinese brand and then go on 500 russian owned websites and give all their data
Xiaomi has a cult like fan following much like Apple. But the difference is, Xiaomi actually acknowledges it and treats their fans accordingly
You mean by selling out their users data to the Chinese government? lol nice fan service

One day I fell directly on my Redmi that was in my pocket. It got a slight bent, but is still running and the display hasn't cracked so far.
Yeah,
I dropped my MI 7 a thousand time and it still fine
Thumbs up Xiaomi. I've been using their products for over 6yrs already. Started with Mi4c back then as a competitor for LG G4 spec-wise while costing much less. Later moved to Mi6 a month after it it's global release and still my daily driver, custom rom with android 12, battery still lasts and works perfect (the longest i have ever kept a smartphone, since am a tinkerer both hardware & software-wise ). For an upgrade, am awaiting the global release of Mi-12 in Europe so I can buy it locally and probably throw in their curved gaming monitor on my list. I'm a Xiaomi Stan since I got my Xiaomi mi 10t pro. The customisation is awesome as honestly I love the camera filters that soften my acne scars and can reshape your face gently and still look a realistic photo.
I love how Arun when he is promoting subs does it so that it’s different every time and unique to any other channel (great work bro)
Yea but @grandlinereview
Arun?. Isn't it Aaron just like every other " Aaron?".
@@tech4life884 I am pretty sure it’s Arun but I could be wrong
There's something about this that I hate, I feel every prolongued pause like a waste of time
Apple : 800$ Profit per phone
Xiaomi : 2$ Profit per phone
A Xiamoi 400$ phone is literally the same price as an 1200$ Iphone .
(Both productaction cost is 400$ )
Yep Apple we innovate
Someone has to pay for the R&D..
@@AUCongnitiveRealist Then who pay the xiaomi R&D? they run different OS so even very same feature will still require effort to bring that on MIUI

Damn

Yes, but also, in turn - adept at gauging value of an item. F crApple

Seriously effective marketing in this presumably non-affiliated video, so I guess will just ask to clarify:
Are there any business or financial ties between XiaoMi and YOURSELF?
Regardless, an enjoyable watch.
Nope, but I heavily recommend Xiaomi

@@TheFamousMockingbird That would be illegal.
