The funniest part is that in the LN, Ayanokoji isn't even that manipulative. In fact, he even thinks this during the scene: "Men are difficult, frustrating creatures who won’t let others see them cry except in special circumstances. Which was exactly why I, too, wanted the kind of friendship where I could shed tears in front of someone."

@@Nolimitsbestfriend Yeah, the anime doesn't follow this which is upsetting because Ayanokoji's story is supposed to be about what makes someone human.

I haven’t seen the season yet, but let me explain it to you from what I can tell when you’re building an army of students that are trying to you know not only pass but graduate high school without failing a lot or facing you know individuals that wanna be the best? Lol here come all the "addition to the tool box" comments. On a real note, he's indirectly a good guy cause he helps everyone improve. Though in the long run it's so he can use them lol
In this scene, Hirata is really scared because Ayanokouji intimidates him, in the LN Ayanokouji is like a friend who is advising Hirata, Even though Ayanokouji's goal is to become an ordinary human, why does the anime make Ayanokouji cold-hearted and have no empathy, which makes Ayanokouji even further away from his goal?. But there is one similarity in both versions, in the LN or anime, the worst victim of Ayanokouji's manipulation is Ichinose.
His help always has another branch, he did help by improving hirata while also earn his trust more essentially will make his class move forward in the long term
Actually, after Kei and Hirata found out how terrible Koji was, Class D had indirectly become Koji's tool because Kei and Hirata were important pawns in the class and Koji got them except Koenji, In the future, there will be no recruitment of new tools in class D, only repairing tools
@@Anicijo Hirata most certainly didn't *want* to hear the cold hard truths AK laid out here. My point is that while AK may have had his own vested, long term, interests for doing it, he still did what a real friend would've done for Hirata anyways. @@Anicijo We see no such thing at all, leave alone "clearly". We do see that he wanted to "fix" Hirata, but that is not mutually exclusive with a spontaneous feeling of empathy (even if AK ostensibly would be conditioned to ignore it when needed).
Hirata is like Rokuro Enmado but the difference is that Rokuro is more towards Ken Sudo regarding betrayal of friendships, especially Rokuro will be angry with Yamauchi if Rokuro Enmado becomes Ayanokoji's classmate, especially Suzune and Manabu are surprised if Rokuro is like Hirata then Benio is like Suzune and Yuto is like Manabu maybe sometimes Rokuro instead he became friends with Manabu even though Rokuro and Manabu made Rokuro and Yuto previously friends, but Manabu understands that Yuto is much scarier than Manabu, especially if Yamauchi uses a chair, maybe Rokuro is even worse than Koenji and Ryuuen because Rokuro is more angry towards Yamauchi's betrayal of his friend because Hirata and Rokuro have the same syndrome in dark trauma that can't save friends but Rokuro is lucky to find someone who understands, especially Rokuro might be able to realize his shortcomings in an adult way maybe Hirata so lucky that Hirata not kill friends just like Rokuro did to his friends in childhood

The anime’s priority is to make Ayanokoji as badass as possible. I must admit I have mixed feelings about that.

bro that wasn’t even that manipulative
he helped hirata overcome his weakness

Hirata after being insulted by Ayanokoji and gets a little compliment: thank you 😭😭
Ayanokoji: no problem, I tried my best

"I love you Kiyotaka"
