The iron basket piece looks like an umbrella holder you have near your entryway. In a more rainy climate it is a very useful piece. But it looks beautiful here in your dining room. I'm warming up to this spanish style!

When you start out on a room makeover, I must admit that your vision can elude me. I either think it's going to be too dark or feel heavy and the reveal always proves me wrong. It comes out classy, comfortable, and welcoming. You have made me re-evaluate how to be a bit bolder in putting pieces together in my own home. Just had a wine induced genius thought. Not sure if you've heard it a 1000 times before but ..... I am looking at my "Live Beautiful' by Athena Calderone coffee table book and you need to make a high end coffee table book after all of your rooms are finshed!!! I will be the first to buy it!! You need to be in that league!!! Yehhhss!!
I LOVE this room pretty much unreservedly! I'm glad you chose to stick to your guns about the bookcase. That table and your chairs are so rich and heavy they need something lighter weight in the room, but still a sizable piece to keep the scale right. And you found the exact right thing!!! That very adjustable console table is fabulous and complements the dining table and chairs perfectly. And the massive iron light and tapestry? From a "dream of that room" kind of perfect! Like if you had a dream of that room that was exactly right. The fabric uplighting sconces were a big no for me initially, but as the room took on its furnishings and you added in your all your personal touches and the finishing pieces, they grew on me until I sort of liked them! I do think I'd want to look for something very similar in size and shape but made of a metal base with slag glass and hardwired to a dimmer switch to replace them. TBH, I don't think they match in terms of quality. At least not visually. Otherwise, it's a perfect room (how many times can I say"perfect"? 😂). In my opinion, it's one of the best - if not THE best - room you've done!

Honestly I just love the gay vibes! I've followed you for a really long time and I love your style and approach to projects. It's also nice to feel represented, UA-cam spaces that aren't centered around queerness (like queer channels etc) are usually very cishet and it's nice to find my community blended with an other big part of my identity which is interior design ❤🏳🌈

I used to watch you style rooms and when you would hold up pieces and tell where you plan to place them, I’d sometimes say “no no no they’re too large (or small). Then you would place them and, of course, they would be perfect. Now when I see the process and can’t visualize what you’re doing, I’ll start to say “no no….” and then I relax and say “Oh nevermind. Its Drew! It will be perfect!” And it is! Love your creativity.
Hi, your flea market find 16:17 is the cage to a hanging lamp! That hole in the "bottom" (which is actually the top) is where the lighting fixture goes through - the bulb would screw into the fixture and the cord would go up to the ceiling where it would meet the power source. It would operate via a wall switch. It's pretty weathered, so it was probably a porch light. I have a smaller one that used to hang over the back door in the house I grew up in, I keep a candle in it now (also upside down).
Lets also talk about the friends who are around you to help you, they are stunning, supporting and true friends. And it is as you say, every room is stunning, but this one I feel like it is peaceful too. 😍

Drew... that iron "tulip" item you placed under that table/shelf is a planter pot stand. The hole in the center is meant to align with the hole at the bottom of a terracotta style pot. You were holding it and placed it upside-down. I however love it the way you have it ❤

This is my favorite room so far. I love how you can see the beautiful coffee bar through the archway. The chandelier is absolutely gorgeous, as are the sconces and the wall hanging. There is not one thing that I don't like. You are awesome!

Honestly I just love the gay vibes! I've followed you for a really long time and I love your style and approach to projects. It's also nice to feel represented, UA-cam spaces that aren't centered around queerness (like queer channels etc) are usually very cishet and it's nice to find my community blended with an other big part of my identity which is interior design ❤🏳🌈

I used to watch you style rooms and when you would hold up pieces and tell where you plan to place them, I’d sometimes say “no no no they’re too large (or small). Then you would place them and, of course, they would be perfect. Now when I see the process and can’t visualize what you’re doing, I’ll start to say “no no….” and then I relax and say “Oh nevermind. Its Drew! It will be perfect!” And it is! Love your creativity.
Hi, your flea market find 16:17 is the cage to a hanging lamp! That hole in the "bottom" (which is actually the top) is where the lighting fixture goes through - the bulb would screw into the fixture and the cord would go up to the ceiling where it would meet the power source. It would operate via a wall switch. It's pretty weathered, so it was probably a porch light.
I have a smaller one that used to hang over the back door in the house I grew up in, I keep a candle in it now (also upside down).

Drew... that iron "tulip" item you placed under that table/shelf is a planter pot stand. The hole in the center is meant to align with the hole at the bottom of a terracotta style pot. You were holding it and placed it upside-down. I however love it the way you have it ❤

Hi Drew, this room is a triumph! I hardly ever respond to videos on UA-cam but I really think that what some are saying is an umbrella stand is actually a plant stand if you flip it. It seems a bit short to be an umbrella stand. At any rate it s a lovely find!
