    Regarding installation (at around 1:35 in the video): when I bought and installed a Holafly eSIM in-app two days ago, I could install it "automatically" - the same process as the airalo "direct" installation. Two weeks ago this feature wasn't available to me. Perhaps this feature is being rolled out in certain updates and/or regions as we speak?
    I do agree that, on both platforms, this is the fastest installation method.

      Hmm automatic installation, that sounds good! I don't have that available on my end, I only have QR Code and Installation codes (aka manual). ^Jonny

    Hello. I live in US. If I visit Philippines, I wouldnt be able to register sim cards bec I dont have Philippine ID. If I download Airalo or Halofly before leaving US, will I have data in Philippines after arriving without the need to register the esim? Can I continue to buy additional data while I'm in Philippines? Thanks

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  4 місяці тому

      That is a very good question, and a difficult one to answer as I haven't experienced that. If the Airalo eSIM is a Filipino one, then when you arrive in the Philippines you should have access to data, like any eSIM. I don't see why you wouldn't. ^Jonny

      @@Monitodotcom thanks for the reply. i plan to buy the esim in US. maybe it will be able to bypass the SIM registration law in PH

      I just arrived in the Philippines from the U.S., I installed an airalo eSIM before leaving home but didn’t activate it. I later realized that I should’ve activated it because you need a stable wifi connection to do so. I had to wait till I arrived at my hotel. After activating the eSIM I immediately had access to data and everything worked out fine and you don’t need to register the eSIM here which means no ID needed as well.😊

    Is it possible to use Holafly on a laptop? Or does that require a hotspot? (EU based)

    • @duvanr
      @duvanr 22 дні тому

      eSIMs can only be used with eSIM compatible devices. Check if your laptop is compatible lol

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  3 місяці тому +2

      Hey Jay, for your family members you'll need to buy additional eSIMs. With Holafly you can do this at checkout by selecting 'Number of eSIMs: 3', with Airalo you'll need to buy purchase them separately. Cheers! ^Jonny

      @Monitodotcom  23 дні тому

      I disagree, Airalo is pretty cheap compared to the rest of the eSIM industry. Holafly is definitely more expensive, but not extortionately and they price themselves relative to their unlimited offering. Can you direct me to an unlimited data provider that's much cheaper? And also a provider who's cheaper than Airalo for lower usage, such a 1GB? ^Jonny
