Our last couple of trips to Europe we didn’t have data and we were on the Starbucks/ McDonald’s wifi plan, lol! We are currently in Rome, headed to Greece and Turkey and so far the Airalo esim has worked out great! As soon as we landed I activated the esim and had a Whats App voice message from our driver, telling me to call and he would come into the baggage area to meet us. Thanks so much for the tip! Full time 3 years, Tiffin owners as well. Safe Travels! Ron & Tara
This is just what we have been researching for our kid who is studying abroad (and we can use it when we visit her). Very glad you shared the app. Love that you showed the steps too!
@@todayissomeday ❤️ I was googling about the app last night, and it looks like the phone has to be unlocked to add the eSIMS. You might have said that and I missed it. Again, appreciate you all! Nicole & Tim
Hey Today is Someday, I've been following your channel for a while and have always admired your work. Lately, though, it feels like there's too much focus on pushing products and memberships. It's becoming a bit overwhelming and detracts from the unique content that originally made your channel great. Is there a way to balance this out? I think many of us miss the original essence of your videos. Thanks!
I hear what you are saying and yes it is a hard balance. We work 40-60 hours a week to create free content and have been at it for six years. That is a lot of work, time and effort. Along the way we still need save for retirement and plan for our future. We love this community and will continue to create content. Our sponsored videos allows us to do that. We also spend a LOT of money to create the content from our website, royalty free music and so much more.
There's just one thing. As Airalo's esim is only for data transmission, you can't make or receive phone calls. Which, in principle, wouldn't be a problem since nowadays everything is done via the internet, right? Until the day my car rented by SIXT broke down in the interior of Spain, in the middle of nowhere, and the only way to contact the rental company was BY PHONE CALL! It is serious. There was no WhatsApp number or anything on the rental papers. Only one telephone number to contact in case of an accident or vehicle breakdown. A good-natured Spaniard who was passing by on the road stopped and was kind enough to make the call. Here's a tip.
If you’re looking for a reliable eSIM for your travels, I’ve been using YohoMobile and it’s worked really well for me. It’s easy to set up and has good coverage across different countries. Just thought I’d share in case it helps anyone out!
We are enjoying rewatching your Newfoundland series…you mention what I think was a travel guide (places to camp…things to see). If you published one, how would I go about purchasing it? Thanks for your content.
We have AT&T phones, and luckily, they offer unlimited data and cell in Canada and Mexico. We figure that's about as far as we'll R. V. 😁 Lynn and Danny
Thanks for this explanation - easy to understand and helpful. I do have one question -- can you load two different countries at the same time? I will be traveling through Europe on my way to Namibia (ie: load a package for Germany and then another for Namibia). Primary would be my usual phone, Secondary for Germany, and is there a tertiary eSim option for Namibia? Or will both Germany & Namibia be secondary and Airalo will recognize what country you are in? Thanks again.
Yes you can! You can load multiple countries and just switch between them when you need to use it. They are activated until you switch to them and actually use them.
Need clarification on installing Airalo. At 4 minutes in the tutorial we are told do not activate until we arrive to our destination. Then at 5:23 minutes into the tutorial you say to keep the defaults at Primary until you reach your destination. Example Messages and Face Time default and for "Cellular Data" Default we should select and keep it on Primary until you arrive at your destination then select Secondary. IPlease clarify, Can we complete the set up steps now for Messages and Face time for the defaults?
Airalo was set up for Data only and you use your cell plan for calls (you would have to check your carriers International plans before going). I would also check out Airalo's website for your specific questions.
Thanks much for this video. Trying to find an answer to this question. AssumingI will be able to make hotel reservations with eSim, but will my credit card company back in the USA deny the transaction since it's a different phone number?
We always alert our bank when we travel oveseas so that those types of issues don't happen. We list all the countries we will visit and some we may get to it, just in case.
Back again with a question as I've been waiting 2 hours for Airalo chat person. I bought a 30 day ESim for the US. How do I know if I can call with it? Or is it just a text thing. I'd like to call about accommodations and attractions as we travel. Thoughts?
So, what do I do if I visited multiple country, and leaving the first country to second country? Do I need to physically do anything when I am leaving the first country and do something when I arrive at second country?
@@todayissomeday Thanks. I guess i should have been clearer. I am leaving the U.S. to travel the world with no plans to return so in this case, can I cancel my provider and just use eSiM?

I suggest you don't cancel your current plan if you have 2FA for your bank accounts. Try to downgrade to a talk and text only plan and use airalo esim for data. If your phone and carrier support wifi calling, then turn that on so you can stll make and receive phone calls and text messages on your US phone number.

Used Airalo in japan and uk , for my iPhone and iPads , outstanding highly recommend

Great informative video! Never knew something like this was available.

Explained it better than Airalo itself 😂 👍

Awesome. Please tell me how it goes.
Do you have to turn off airplane mode once you activate in the country of choice?
Best walkthrough yet THANKYOU!!!!

This is awesome! Do you know if it will work on a cruise?
It wont work while you are on the ship unfortunately. Only in port.
@@todayissomeday Still, that would really help! We have Straight Talk and they don’t have international roaming.
I wish we had used it on our last cruise! In port it would have been great to have our own safe internet instead of looking for it everywhere!

Yes. You may have to adjust your phone settings.

As always a great video, thank you for the information 🙏🇺🇸🙏 #Maga
Thanks for watching!
Interesting. Thank you.
excellent video!!!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you so much!
Appreciate this information! - Michelle
Our pleasure!
If it says activating that’s fine?
I tried activating thinking it was the same as installing. Not sure ?
Does each person need to add this?
The data is for that specific phone
I think airalo allows data sharing by msking your phone a hotspot.
Can I call back to my home country with the E-sim?
You should be able to.
Thanx
So, what do I do if I visited multiple country, and leaving the first country to second country? Do I need to physically do anything when I am leaving the first country and do something when I arrive at second country?
Yes, you will have to switch e-sims from one to the other.
@@todayissomeday What do you mean by switch them. Will explain or make video out of it? , Thank you in advance
If you're travelling to multiple countries in the same region, just get a regional esim.
Thanks for the substantive content.
What if you already have an ESIM with your primary provider?
You can have multiple eSIMS and toggle between them.
@@todayissomeday nice!!👍🏻
For me it is easier said then done. The app says it won’t support. My phone is on the support list. 🤔
So, I can switch to an eSIM and cancel my current provider?
No. This is for data in another country if your current carrier doesn't cover you.
