"John Frusciante and I, along with the children’s choir from the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music recorded the song Not Great Men by the Gang Of Four for this album. Absolutely! Although Flea spoke highly of Josh you could tell he was missing his groove brother. I love this jam, I hope the new album has more of this vibe
I’ve played this probably 40 times now. I’d like to see a whole album with this kind of vibe. So late 80’s early 90’s chili peppers groove. Jams like this give my heart a reason to keep pumping.
Having frusciante back in the band is like having a dead loved one come back to life , absolutely magical! Also I can't wait for the new album to drop !!!!
True, simple and clear lyrics. THX to Flea, John Frusciante and the children’s choir from the Silverlake Conservatory Of Music directed by SJ Hasman for your educational work to the world and "Long live the Gang of Four, long live Andy Gill"!
This cover has a freaky Styley vibe to it, now I am not talking about the actual freaky styley song but atmosphere feels so familiar, sounds like they’re going back to their roots

@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer Have you heard the original? They rearranged/reworked it; they didn't keep a single riff the same as in the original. And It definitely sounds like old school RHCP.
@@gqirishlion1624 That's incorrect. Hendrix wasn't John's only inspo and that's not his only style. He was really inspired by Adrian Belew, Andy Gill, Johnny Marr and Pat Smear. And his work in Ataxia and his solo albums is more akin to punk/new wave/alternative guitar. The playing on Californication and By the Way is pretty far removed from Hendrix's approach as well. Goes to show, like how best friends could not see or hear from each other for days, weeks , months , or decades and fall right back into that swing of friendship - John and Flea have a magical relationship that transcends time and space. I’m so stoked the fantastic 4 are back, but I think even Anthony and Chad would agree that what magic happens when flea and John start flowing, everyone listening just tune in and drop out. Back and repeat repeat repeat and repeating the same kind of song
@Jx Po it actually just took bringing john back..
its got the old rawness and simplicity.
