Thank you so much for this video. I had this same issue - heater plug light came on and stayed on, although my van wasn't ever in "limp" mode, it would accelerate into high revs but just was noticeably sluggish for a few weeks before the light came on. When it came on though, it felt like it was really lacking in power, but like I said, it would go through the revs ok. Fortunately, the day the light came on the van was going into the garage for something else anyway. They plugged it in and a turbo issue came up but it wasn't specific. Later I showed this video to the mechanic, he changed the part and now the van now runs brilliantly. Adrian, BIG thanks man!

Hi DJ, unfortunately I don't know the answer to that one as I only know about things iv actually done on my own van... When it starts, if you shut it off and try to re-start immediately. Does it start then? From what your saying I would probably say u have a fueling issue. If it starts with the easy start and runs fine once started then maybe you have a leak or air in the fuel line. So look at the clear fuel line coming from the fuel filter housing. If u see air bubbles along there then, that could be your problem. There is a little hand pump on the line above the filter so try pumping that to build up the pressure and then try and start it. When your pumping the manual fuel pump you will see the bubbles moving through the line (if there are any). Just throwing ideas out there going by what you have said.

Hi mate, I do not know the answer to this question as I have never had a problem starting my Van. Again if the glow plug warning light is on you would need to run diagnostics to find out if there’s a problem with the ignition system.
I Deed the diagnostic and the first is fuel pressur sensor shorted to 12 voly and the second is boost pressure sendor problems.does this privent engine starting
Ok then I would suggest looking closely at the fuel pressure sensor and check the fuel lines and the filter housing for any leaks. I did have a leaky fuel filter housing seal once which gave me some starting issues... on my van it can be found on the left hand side under the bonnet. It’s high up in the top left corner. Black container with clear fuel light be running into it. If there are air bubbles present in the line you have a leak somewhere. Also any fuel wet stains running down the filter housing the seal is leaking. Try pressurising the fuel pump manually. This can be done via the black balloon which is attached to the clear fuel line which goes into the filter housing. Just keep squeezing an till the fuel line looks clear of any air bubbles. And you will also need to change the fuel pressure sensor. I don’t think the boost sensor would stop it from firing up but low fuel pressure could... That’s my best answer mate.

How's it going mate.. I've the exact problem as you.. pulling over and restart and it's fine... did you find the answer.. think the codes are p110 or something.. I changed the solenoid after this video but nothing...and I changed the maf but a cheap version so will get a proper one but I juts Don't think it will go off after I change it..
I had the exact same problem. The light turns on then there's no boost and I'd have to stop and restart and it would run ok for a bit then the light would come back on again. Mine had a leak in the exhaust manifold and as soon as that was fixed it ran awesome. Also if the light turns on while you're driving, instead of stopping the vehicle and starting it again, just press the clutch, then turn the ignition off and back on again while the vehicle is rolling, then release the clutch like doing a push start. This will save you from having a dead battery after all the restarts and get you home at least.

Damn!! Sorry to hear that mate... 🤦🏾♂️
That boost solenoid is upside down 😂 that will cause problems!
It's supposed to have the nipples at the bottom facing down...😉
Still running the same solenoid since I done the vid. Over a year ago now. Running sweet mate
@@sleepz698 the nipples are the top? Not at the bottom facing down?
@@Rushizzxx ok well good luck running your one that way. If yours works upside down then that's fine mate... 👍🏾
Everyone the video has helped out has done it as iv shown. No complaints.
tried changing this on my primastar and still got the glow plug light up! thought id solved it the van actually drives fine just occasionally (1 every 4-5 weeks) will start dropping power to virtually nothing and ill have to pull over and turn it on and off then fine again , the lights virtually on 24/7 replaced MAF air flow as well still nothing! anyone got any ideas what else it could be!??
Sorry mate, font know anything about the primaster... You should have diagnostics run and see what fault/s come up....
Aire flow sensor
Mines 2005
Didn't work.
Try the map sensor
So glow plug goes on equals turbo boost issue Renault engineering is crap
Seems so. Guess best way to view the glow plug light on these vans is equal to an engine management light
@@sleepz698 I was troubleshooting a similar issue on a friend’s van turns out it was actually the glow plugs, but they all broke in the head so now I bought a tool to drill them out
