Hi
This Van came to me with an issue with the MAF.
The problem in the end was rather simple to resolve... but I will take you through the diagnostic and testing of the circuit, to correctly diagnose the faulty component.
Hope you enjoy the video.
Any questions or comments put them below.
Like always, thank you for watching! - Авто та транспорт
now i am dealing with the same problem.2009 1.9 traffic...i will try your tactics tomorrow greetings from turkey. Thanks for video youre big expert...
Good luck... hope you get it sorted!
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
👍👍👍
😊
👍👍👍
You seem to get the cars other people have had a go at and have failed. Well spotted Luis.
All the best for Christmas and the New Year.
Indeed I do... lol
Thank you for watching!
Merry Christmas!
Nice job Luis great detective work and merry Christmas to you and your family
Thanks!
Merry Christmas!
Always pays to check non genuine parts for correct fitment before proceeding, or learn the hard way like this poor guy. Weather seals and plastic pin guides often come adrift and end up where they shouldn't be on the wrong side of a plug or module. Merry Christmas Luis and thanks for the great videos.
Merry Christmas...
Indeed... just had one issue yesterday that will show one more time that... attention to detail!
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Hi ive got a ptoblem with mine renault trafic it doesn't have power to the glow plugs what do u think it is ?
good one Luis as always Merry Xrstms and happy new year.
Thanks!
Merry Christmas!
Nice1 mate, some plugs can be a nightmare specially the ECU ones, I always try keep them as straight as possible going in some of the pins are so thin and easy to bend ... cheers 👍
Indeed they are...
Thank you for watching Igor!
your the man , amazing detective work , bent pins at the end , always a simple fault overlooked
Absolutely!
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Nicely done as always
Thanks, for watching and for your comment!
Great video as always
Thanks!
👍
Thanks, good presentation
Hi
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
v.nice video as always.tanx
Thanks!

I got a head aich with the wifes focus, got p0056 so changed the bank 2 sensor 2 and still the code is there so gonna read the live data with the maxysis and see what's going on! Merry Christmas! Lol
Good luck!
Thanks...
i'm really intresting ur joob it's complitly professionnel good luck my men 👌👍

Thank you for video, I have this very problem right now.
Will buy a new sensor as not confident opening up the loom.
Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
🤞
Hope you get it sorted...
👍👍👍
well done great vid
Thanks!
Hi, I know that this video is kind of old but i have a question, have the replacement of the MAF, did the SERV light go off too or juste the EML and the other one?
Super job!
Thanks!
👍👍👍
very helpful thank you
Thanks!
👍👍👍
I've got a sluggish M9R that has a MAF sensor reading of 1.8V at tickover. I'd expect 2+V . Whats your experience, do some have this low a voltage?
Useful video 👍
Thanks!
Hi there; if you remove the plastic from the UNI-T we'll get a much better image; it's reflective; lol, i'll bet you've done that by now...
Nice video, lots and lots of work, but you got it in the end,as usual.
No I haven't...
😜
Is my plastic... and is not going to come off!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LoL
Maybe one day... 😉
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
@@LMAutoRepairs ok....it'll have to come off on its own then lol
@@josepeixoto3384
I will tape it in place...😜
@@LMAutoRepairs yeah right, with some duct tape lol
Good job
Thanks!
👍
Thank you!

very very thanks
Thanks!
Luis, if you disconect the plug from sensor did you see 5V on scan tool ? Would that indicate that signal wire and ECU are good?
Btw, great video again.Thank you.
Hi
I can't remember now... but I was pretty sure was dropping to 0...
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Hello Luis, all the best for you and your family for the new year. When you used multimeter to feed the signal line with the voltage from the power line ( 9:30), which mode did you had multimeter activated, ohm or volt ? Thanks
Hi
I was not using the multimeter...
I was using the voltage signal from the air temperature sensor...
Thank you for watching!
What way does it affect the running of van ref air flow sensor ? Does van keep stopping , rough idle etc.
Depends how it failed... if failed in a way that the engine ecu fails to detect a fault, mixture might be wrong, and engine can run poorly etc...
If it fails in a way that the engine ecu sees a problem, usually ignores the readings from the sensor and runs a calculated value... and obviously throws the engine light...
Thank you for watching!
Who does that! Somebody rushing the job or has no clue what they are doing, well done mate
Possibly... lol
Thank you for watching and for your comment!
16:25 you say "car lost the injector codes" Luis; what would be the symptoms of that, how did you find out? I have a 2004 1.9 DCI Laguna here, and i suspect the same, the idle is a bit rough; thanks
Hi
In this case, if I recall correctly, comes up with a code for it...
But you can always check the codes stored in the ecu... if you think you having that...
Thank you for watching!
How your keeping calm Ile never know the owner of that van is a right ...! 😀
LOL
It is difficult sometimes...😬
Thank you for watching!
👍👍👍
My Opel reads -40c at intake air temperature. Does the MAF do the reading?
2014 2.0
Hi
I believe yes... the intake temperature is part of the MAF sensor...
👍👍👍
Hi I have the same problem. so it is best to replace the flow meter?
Possibly... but check everything else first... wiring, connections, etc...
👍👍👍
Hi, I change my sensor with one exactly like yours and suddenly I have one more error. First is Mass or volume air flow A circuit, and second, Intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit. Do you know what can be? In DataStream I have Air flow rate from mass airflow sensor 0.00g/s, how much needs to be normal?
Make sure you plugged it correctly...
What was the issue before?
Is the MAF a genuine, or aftermarket?
Thank you for watching!
LM Auto Repairs Unfortunately aftermarket :( The issue was and still, the same two errors in the dashboard from your video. P0100, p0110. Are the aftermarkets so bad? Thanks for your reply.
@@romulusamy8829
They can be unfortunately...
Have you checked power and grounds, signal wires back to the ecu, etc?
@@LMAutoRepairs Yes, looks fine. Any chance that your service being located near Manchester?
@@romulusamy8829
Not really...
MAF 5WK9609 7700314057 ,error DF056 on a 2004 LAGUNA 1.9 DCI; does it it output frequency,or voltage?
I believe is voltage...
Check the voltage between pin 2 and 5 (maf connected), if the value is not somewhere between 0.5v and 0.7v, then the MAF is probably faulty...
Providing every thing else is ok...
@@LMAutoRepairs @LM Auto Repairs I do get .67V key on eng off; but it's 2.85V at idle,and 2.8V snap gas; what do you think? big red "STOP DESLIGAR IGNIÇÃO" led/light always on,and that cannot be erased with Delphi;
also get 24kg/hr at idle, and several errors, DF197 DF301 DF066 DF120 DF126 permanent ;
switced the MAF with another one(used, unknown!),same thing.
The MAP,how many Volts should it read at idle (and eng.off? Thanks
Hi just watched your video and I’m having same problems on my 09 trafic dci and more !! Can you help 🙏
DF304 egr bypass circuit
Permanent
Open circuit
DF056 mass air flow sensor
Permanent
Short circuit to ground or open circuit
DF002 ambient air temperature sensor circuit
Permanent
Short circuit to ground or open circuit
Have changed sensors and egr changed wire loom as stripped old one and seen it had been repaired in few places and looked a mess and still getting same faults ?
Could the ecu be problem luis?
Possibly...
👍👍👍
Yeah only damn thing left to change or refurbished thanks for reply
Hi luis back again lol my trafic 09 van is a nightmare can you help with new problem🤦♂️😂 right got camshaft sensor fault DF119 signal incoherence have put new timing chain kit on as timing was out but still getting same fault have tried sensor in mates van and fault doesn’t appear 🤷♂️ Need help asap thanks
I have no earth from the ecu can you help
🤔
Follow the wiring...
Most likely a bad earth point or broken wire...
Thank you for watching!
Could you tell me what means this cod.
Df891 and P2146.
You would find loads of info with a quick google search...
It is injectors related...
Thank you for watching!
Fajny film ale szkoda ze nie po polsku ,zrob to po Polen bedzie duze zaintetesowanie
Them 2litre engines..nitemare to get injectors out of
Yes they are...
Thank you for watching!
Gve
1.6 hdi
OK... that's a bit better...
Pin 2 should be ground...
Pin 4 should be voltage... most likely 12 volts...
Pin 1 and 5 signals to the ecu...
Looks like Pin 1 is a temperature sensor...
And Pin 5 the flow meter sensor signal...
Hope that helps...
@@LMAutoRepairs thank you
how do I test the maf sensor (not connected to car harness )with multimeter. may like resistance reading or something like that. thank you
On the temperature sensor possibility...
On the flow meter, no...
The signal most likely will be PWM or Frequency... for that you will need a scope...
@@LMAutoRepairs thank you. one more question. I have 12volt .5 volt ground .do you think the harness ok?
