I bought this kit second hand and couldn't figure out why I just couldn't get comfortable on it. Turns out they had all 3 toms on the long bar so it just felt wrong. So glad I found this video so I can adjust properly and get more comfortable playing!
I have recently purchased a TD-1KV. And I am disappointed of the fact that the cymbal edges are not triggered once connected to Garage Band. This applies to the crash, hi-hat and ride. If I beat the center of the cymbals, this works. Does any one else face this issue? Highly recommend if RolandChannel can advise on this.
Hi can you please tell me what the little tool used with the plastic handle to tighten things it can be seen 38seconds into the video. My kit needs adjusting the poles gone wonky over time and can’t find that piece. I don’t know what it is to try and get another one. Thanks for your helpful video showing how you do it.
how much does it weigh totally assembled? I don't see the pounds weight anywhere in specifications. I've got a van and am thinking I can just pick this whole thing up already assembled and put it in my van without having to take it apart. ALSO, does this have an output jack to plug into your mixer and therefore the PA?
What would you need to attache that nice PDX 8 snare drum to a TD 1K , Yeah , yeah should of gotten the TD 1KV from the beginning but hey to late for that now, now I want that snare BAD!!!! Thanks
+w toro You can always upgrade it to the mesh snare at anytime. Most of the online music stores offer additional mesh heads for either the snare or the toms.
Howdy, I am awaiting my TD1KV V set to arrive. I got it as an employee loyalty gift for 15 years of service. One question, does it come with the drumsticks? Thanks for this video, definitely will refer to it when I set up my set! SO psyched!!
Thank you, i appteciate it and yes i like it but using headphones is a drag because the cords are in the way, so im waiting to get a great speaker/monitor to realy get into it. Im totally new to this but am looking forward to learning to play and experience new discoveries.
Walker Pantera realz!! wow I never thought about that...the headphones getting in the way...just got the TD1KV and I'm psyched but i haven't even took it out the box yet...I guess when you're feelin it playing noticing the headhpone wire would be bad...what if you get a pail with a long wire..?
i dont get why it doesnt have an P10 Input... i had to use a P2-P10 converter to connect it to my amp and i think this probably makes it lose some quality...

Hi there is it possible to adjust each pad volume? My CRASH cymbal is louder than my SNARE.
Yes There Is Long Press Your Metronome button
and each pad you hit will come up on the screen then adjust using + or - buttons Hope This Helps.

Can you adjust the distance between hats and snare ? The hat felt too far away when I played it in the shop .
yes. The snare rotates to the left and the hi-hat can also be adjusted by sliding it inwards or rotating it on the pole.
With the built in "modes" that you have like, rock Reggie ect is there a mode with double kick peddles or do you need to buy them separately?
Where can I find extra cables like if I wanted to add another cymbal to the unit?
It has a Crash 2 cord already attached with the rest of the cords.

U need a mounting bracket for the mesh snare and just take the old rubber pad off.Thsts the beauty of this kit it's so upgradeable.

The only thing stopping me is how the snare is dead centre, which for some reason I don't like

Good but it doesn’t show you how to set up the td 1k, it only shows you how to set up the td 1kv
The TD-1K and TD-1KV are essentially the same, only the snare pad is different...
