What type of paper do you print on?
I use Canon photo matte paper for rich, darker images and Southworth Linen Cotton paper. Both are available on Amazon.
What printer do you use?
I have an Epson Ecotank (the home version) ET-2760 and it is by far the best printer. I rarely have to replace ink and I use it A LOT!
