Thank you. I had to repair a broken solder joint on my control board today, and I didn't even know where to begin. I watched your video and had the job (which I've put off for months) done in well under 2 hours. My dishwasher was exactly the same as the one used in your video. If your goal is to help people . . . you've succeeded. Thanks again. PS - I'm using my daughter's YT account. I'm Carolyn's DAD. Thanks again.

We just replaced our control panel and followed the video and other than some troubleshooting with the blue ribbon (it's hard to see what you did on the video, just looks like it locked itself in place but the part behind needed pushed in) it was pretty easy and only took less than an hour! My dishwasher was a bit different -- I had to actually remove the old touchpad to install the new. For anyone curious I used a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive and a utility blade on the very edge and worked my way in. Didn't come off completely clean but the new one went right over the old adhesive and you can't tell it's been replaced. That's replacing part 154459903 for frigidaire dishwasher PLD2850RDC1. Hope that helps someone else with the same model and thanks for the great video!

Hey there - I have a LG - LDT7797BD (2018 I think) and was confused on diagnosing a problem. The other day, the unit would light up, however the control panel was unresponsive. I reset power (even though it was lighting), checked to make sure it was level (was perfectly) and the door was latching just fine. I am aware of both (thanks to kids) have delay start activated AND control lock. When those things happen, I had no issues canceling them but the panel would at least engage. What is baffling me is that I gave up messing with it for the night as it was late, woke up, and then it was working fine and has been for days. Any ideas what would cause the panel to go offline temporarily? It didn't run a cycle or anything, so I don't think it was delay start. Really confused, but at least happy its working.
