To be fair, the way Liam played today he could have knocked out one of Chinese top players, including Ma Long whom he did beat on one of those occasions. However, with his two boys sitting inside cheering their hero dad, Ma Long played like the prime Ma Long and won't be denied by any opponents regardless how they play. When the goat plays like the goat, it's hard to take even one game even if you are playing the best game of your life. By skipping WTT Macao, Ma Long seemd fresh and energetic. Lets see, if he can reclaim the crown at such an old age. I really hope to see the clash between him and the young blood Lin Shidong.
I know that Ma Long is the GOAT, but it doesnt make any less impressive that he is still so dominant at the sport at 35 years of age Dude is the Pelé and Michael Jordan of Table Tennis
It's not that he's lasted this long that's impressive, it's that he's lasted this long while being trained by the Chinese. Outside of China it's pretty common for careers to last into the mid forties, but the way China trains their athletes they make them extremely strong at around the early twenties at the expense of the second half of their would-be career.@@ysf-d9i
Aún muchos, solo mira al nivel que juego. Si le daban chance mínimo ganaba los juegos olímpicos Ma Long es alguien que ha sabido sobrellevar la edad aún tiene algunos años.
"Let" at 9.25. Unfortunately camera missed ball toss. Many players use arcing tosses to enhance service ... this rule is very often ignored... or bent.
I played against England number 1 and 2 ladies got absolutely annihilated, 1 defender Joanna parker/drinkhall and rapid attacker kelly sibley, they are absolutely miles better than me i held my own and competitive levels ive been coached by good coaches, so pitch destroys them 2 england number 1 ma long destroys pitch, my point is there are so many levels to table tennis you think you are good with unreturnable serves dynamite forehand and backhand there are millions that are better.
If Ma Long retires, he should continue playing as a free agent or for a club and not be a coach. Doesn’t have to be for the Chinese National Team. He has much more to give to the sport. Waldner played his last match as a player ten years after he played his last international match for Sweden(2005)

But that doesn't make sense. Many of those are ins. My explanation is that it's short for "hao qiu le" (好球嘞), "好" is in the third tone and not obvious and is often left out, so it became "qiule"。
He has semi-retired in my opinion. Since Wang Hao is no longer coaching him, I say he has been demoted to Team B. From now on, we will only see him in a few more events until he completely retires by 2025 at the latest.
So happy to see the GOAT MaLong playing ❤
It's really wonderful to see Malong played first time live in front of his family/two kids! I haven't heard so many "chole" from Malong recently.
He reminds me of when he was young

Playing table tennis is not math.
1 +1 is not always 2.
THIS CAMERA ANGLE SUUUUUUUCKS.

O gringos reconhecem o Pelé xD
his longevity isn't that impressive tho; timo boll, jan ove waldner etc all lasted much longer
Considering he is Chinese, its very impressive, not even Wang Liqin delivered as much as Ma Long on his 30s @@ysf-d9i

@@ysf-d9i yes it because the chinese style demands more on the body, especially their training
MA Long is The best of the best
how many more events until he retires?

Best ever, so good to watch

Sadly in germany I can‘t watch infinity Arena😢
馬龍贏了,終於可以安心了😮

Ma Long's push shots won him the match. Pitchford is better against topspin drives than he is against low balls with a bit of backspin.
Kid at 12:05 picking his nose in the back and then holding the balls is funny
Bugger spin added!
Is that Adam Bobrow?
Yes

He should open the “hexagon cafe”, joint with Xu Xin
Yall need to put the camera behind the table….

where they are streaming the areana matches at???????

At your timestamp, Ma Long is shouting 再嚟 which means again in Cantonese. My guess is one of the greats on the Chinese National Team speaks Cantonese.
10:10 nwa reference is wild
Liam beat everyone at MLTT while couldn’t win even a single game over malong😂
The term you hear players yell: “cholei” comes from the mandarin term: “出了,or 出嘞” which basically means “out”

"Revenge" is an English word. For Chinese it's routine.
I think that the balls are really waiting for them to stop hitting the floor... I hope we will see this later... much later...
didn't ma long retire?
Yes, he retired. This is Ma Long's clone playing.

Ma Long should continue playing for us to watch but not for the CNT.
Our g.o.a.t is on fire😂❤.go ahead bro!
Not a single Liam Pitchford fan in the audience, just hear the difference in the crowd reaction after he makes a point.
This is china .
That table sounds rapid
Guys remember its a full match because ma long has huge status in the tabletennis world🎉
And its vs pitchford
Viewing the game from this angle is terrible. Why can’t WTT record the games from the perspective used in the World Championships and Olympic Games?
good play.

Bob Bobrow is my favorite commentator!
Adam...?
Right Adam! Sorry about that, Adam.
Chole just means again in Chinese no?
Chole means let's go in Table Tennis lingo. I don't think it means anything in particular in any language
@@gasaidjohn3499 I know Chinese and it literally means “again” or “another one”. It can be used as “let’s go” given this context.
