How much do i APPRECIATE this judge? 1000%. It’s been years since I’ve witnessed a judge actually touch, talk, feel and ask the questions of the exhibitors. This judge IS BEST IN SHOW! BRAVO!
All judges should be this thorough and kind to the dog- it also reminds handlers to be so kind and helps the dog show the best. I also noticed how she lets the handler square the dog off properly and is very patient so that the dog has a chance to show properly. Fantastic to see a judge feel for confirmation.
I like the little noises she makes in an effort to get the dog's attention. I'm hearing squeaky toys on occasion but I'm fairly certain those sounds are being made by the handlers -- I like it when they use toys instead of food.
It has been a very, very, very long time since I have watched a group judge truly JUDGE each dog to it's breed specifics. She was an absolute joy to watch judging each and every breed in her group. Not only did she actually examine each dog but asked questions and interacted with the dogs. GENIUS! Bravo!. You are Best In Show of Judging!!! So tired of watching judges just run their hands down the dog and not taking the time to examine each breed. It was a stoke of genius on the part of the National Dog Show 2022 to have her judging this group. Westminster take note!!!!.
@@phillip9468 it looks like they are not recognized as a breed for this show. Wikipedia says “In the US, the Patterdale Terrier was recognised by the United Kennel Club on January 1, 1995, but remains unrecognized by the American Kennel Club.”

Literally teared up seeing the amstaff make the cut. They’re my favorite breed and get such a bad rep, but they are really such beautiful and loving dogs. This judge herself was also amazing with the way she really handled and thoroughly looked at all the contestants
I love judges like her. Also those that let the audience hear what they write about every dog. Or put out two similar breeds to show similarities and differences between the breeds.
@@MIZZKIE - I've had Scotties for over 50 years. Tough as nails and STUBBORN but would die for their person. If you throw a ball you get a look like "You want ME to get it??? You threw it dummy!" Everywhere I go I hear "Oh look, a Scottie dog!" Don't see them often. Thinking of an miniature English bull terrier for my next dog because Scotties do require a lot of grooming.
My GSD is at the end of her life and I was feeling down so my daughter found this video for me and it's so wonderful remembering back on all the wonderful times we've had together. Your dog is so like mine. We'd hike the woods for hours and she loved swimming in the river. I call her my land porpoise. Thanks for the videos and I wish you many happy years together with your pup.
One thing which was nice to see was the way in which they kept their attention on the handlers rather than letting their eyes wander -- even though terriers are very curious and can become distracted. That's very good training -- and by and large, terriers aren't the easiest dogs to train.

my Dad was right, RIP Papa, I can see now why he always liked terrier. I never know I like welsh & kerry blue terrier a lot..Now I want a terrier after watching this show. the judge really really knows about dog breeds, cool
They are the smartest breed and easy to train. But we had one that had a strange stance when he peed resulting in a wipe down of his stomach all the way up to his chin. Lol.
I love terriers above all breeds -- probably because my family had Cairns when I was a child and I think I have a terrier temperament myself (intelligent, independent, and a bit feisty) -- but I have a real soft spot for Bedlingtons.
The brown English Staffy bull terrier is my favourite breed of all time- they are so calm, loyal, fun and sweet a perfect breed for children with a garden
I LOVE this judge!! Also, Trouble 100% deserved best in the terrier group. (Though I may be a bit biased as amstaffs are my second favorite breed of all time)
Great group! So pleased for “America’s Dog” to win-even if he’s still banned in various cities around the nation! Beautiful dog that completely displayed that joie de vivre that so many people cherish in their own beloved pets!

Loved this chance to learn more about terriers! Can anyone tell me what the judge is looking for when she picks the terriers’ back legs up gently by the base of the tail and then puts them back down? I obviously don’t see this done with the larger dogs, is it to test tail strength or something else?

Could not agree more should do Westminster!
And she's got the scarf to prove it ! Love this judge.
Very thorough.
100% agreed.
What a nice judge, so nice, polite, professional and gentle with the dogs.
yes, so much better than the lady judging the hound group....
Why does she pull them up by their tail?
@@jayneterry8701 the judge?

The most thorough judge in this show! She not only checks the standards but tries to get the dos to interact with her.

What a great judge! Very thorough, ever so gentle with the dogs and very kind to the exhibitors. A pleasure to watch this lady judge. 👍🙏🐶🥇
That judge was so fantastic to watch, genuinely gentle and patient with all the dogs
What a gorgeous lineup! And, what a fabulous, friendly judge! ❤
So admired this judge. She had a kind word for every dog and she was thorough in her judging each dog. Wonderful! What is her name?
Aww and he won!! That's SERIOUSLY awesome! Lol he really was a beautiful presentation of the breed!! 🥰🥰🥰
This judge was absolutely amazing. ♥️ love me a good terrier.
What a lovely judge, and so sweet with all the dogs. All the dogs are winners.
Yes they are
Kudos to the judge. So exciting to see an American bully breed finally get some respect. Excellent choice-beautiful dog.
Huh? There was no American bully in this show/class
@@carlobrigante881 American Staffordshire Terrier is pure bully dog in my opinion.
He really shone. I was going to be quite surprised if he didn't make the cut at least, but it's thrilling to see him take first in group!
I was sooo happy to see him place 1st, they’re a gorgeous breed imo 😭
Yes, the judge is very good to calm the dogs. With her voice and her hands. I can't pick a favorite. I like all of them.
Love the excited sneezes the mini schnauzer did. Just like my own schnauzers 🥰
Typical Schnauzer. Do you have Standard Schnauzers?
Love the sweet disposition and facial expression of the Standard Manschester Terrier ❤️ Same goes for the Rat Terrier ❤️

The Cairn Terrier stopping to do a little shake while walking is probably the most on-brand thing
