I was curious as to how Byakuya's inflated ego would interact with the Ultimate Hope. I initially expected Izuru to humble him but instead Byakuya recognizes his talent(s) and attempts to scout him.

@@Ergeniz Byakuya’s more mature than he lets on. Even in DR1, he offered Makoto a job in his FTEs, but it was more of a test to see if Makoto was really serious about his beliefs or if he was just a fraud that would jump to take the easy way out if he was offered it. But Makoto refuses and Byakuya does gain some respect for him by the end of his events. The fact he’s also willing to apologize and join the other characters after he gets humbled in Ch 4 shows he’s not petty and distrustful like Kokichi, or too brainwashed by his own beliefs like Nagito. He’s able to change his perspective if his own has been objectively proven to be wrong. … Still has a massive ego though. 😅

Like Hiyoko in DR2. As in those characters can/will mature given time but not necessarily in the course of the killing game. Although your comments likely apply to Byakuya by the time of the events of 2 and 3.

Yeah, a pity. The only interaction I know they had was the one in the spinoff manga where Byakuya and Celes want the same box of tea and face their servants (Hifumi and Toko) to win. They are eerily similar.
It's funny and neat how Kaito and Byakuya are actually pretty close. 32:31 is cute how the training trio all interact with Byakuya and Kaito is planning a stargazing event with him.

@@Nosretep well why exactly does Monokuma exist in this timeline? More importantly, why is it that everyone is nervous when he shows up in the storyline? Why does the partial aspect of what is conical even matter anyway? Why can't it just be fan service for the sake of fan service?
