This is the best! Better than beat saber and supernatural (FitXR is a beast of an app as well). I love to dance and can easily get my core engaged as they do so well with the maps. A lot of variety in the music, which I love. I’m an older guy who had some pretty serious health issues: I was on blood pressure meds, my resting heart rate was 90+, etc. I needed something fun and interesting as I’m not a jogger or person who likes gyms. I also absolutely love VR/AR and have been waiting for this since 1982 when I stopped gaming because I knew I needed something more immersive. This, and FitXR are the two that I can come back to time and again. After about one year; resting heart rate in the 70s, no blood pressure meds, lung capacity is very strong even though I occasionally smoke tobacco. Many other gains. I did have to deal with a “jealous” wife 😂. But my mission was to get her to see the light. What ZUMBA!! Lol. She now wants a headset, as does my children and a few other friends (yes I evangelize this stuff, it’s made such a difference). I finally get to have some friends on Meta lol. I don’t share often (I try to avoid that), but I had to as this team has done an amazing job. I have ideas, but…yeah, naw. I hope others find Audio Trip as wonderful as I do. Game changer. Thank you developers. Just let me upload and map my own songs… 😊.
Suggestion: The ability to practice a section of a song with gem miss detection operating. Use Case: I continually make errors in one particular section of a level. I want to repeatedly practice that section until I stop making errors. At present the only way I can see of accomplishing this is to create a completely new song outside the game (by cropping the relevant section out of the existing song), create a new level for the new song, and copy across the chunk of choreography you want to practice. A very laborious process. A simple "play from here" button in the editor would solve this limitation. Such a play mode could also provide loop functionality, to allow the player to repeatedly retry the same section of a song.
Thank you so much. I just tried to play for first time because I need to move more. Epic fail. I felt clueless so just sat down and watched. Found this video and I will try slowing it down and see if my senior brain & uncoordinated body can catch on. ❤️
Oh my gosh! TWO OF YOU!? Did I read that comment right? Are there really just "two of you doing all this?" I am totally impressed. Even if there were five of you, it would still be impressive. I love this game. Other than the times I hate this game. hahahaha Color me klutz. But I do it every day. Happily. And thank you for this completely helpful video. I will try all three methods today. The last 30 seconds of "Addicted to a Memory" kills me with about 6 seconds left to play. For a week now. 7 days. 6-10 seconds left. Every day. Who's the addicted one now? Ha! :-p Keep up the great work Team Kinemotik. Bravo. I wish you continued success. With plenty of days off from work to enjoy it :-)
OMG we both read this comment and smiled so much. Yes, haha, we are a husband and wife team developing this full time together. And we have a bunch more in store for you before we hit full release! (and beyond??) So... you might just continue to be addicted... Sorry (not sorry) :D
Yay! It's been two weeks and I haven't died yet. Humm...is there a support group for people that say this kind of thing? Publicly. This not-so-short post is a shout out for Ashley and Brady and the Kinemotik team about a perhaps secret benefit of Audio Trips. Don't be fooled by my picture's damnably good youthful looks. I found this perhaps secret benefit of Audio Trips simply because I am ancient. And it seems, none of you are. The surprise: I did not expect a significant increase in cognitive performance from using Audio Trips. Neurological processing speed. When I began, even in quick trips beginner mode, I could not track and respond to the speed and range of visual input. (OK. Who's been micro dosing? Raise a fuzzy tentacle.) Even turning off the music I always died well before the end of the quick trip. Now don't get me wrong. I've been lifting weights for 40 years now, pop out 50 push ups a day and still work on software engineering projects. (Who doesn't love punch cards!) But after a few months of regular Audio Trips, I can get 5 stars in beginner mode and multiple stars in regular and cardio. And it's not muscle memory. I'm not a techno-rave fan so a few songs I've never even used. When I test myself against those, even on regular mode, my visual cortex and cognitive processing is not overwhelmed. I don't die. I can even get a few stars. (Yes. "Real Science" happening here. hahaha) So I offer a very grateful thank you to Ashley and Brady! Your work has not only added hours of fun to my life, its really sharpened my "Ok Boomer" brain. And reflexes. I can't wait to see what marvels you two have in store for us. As I research whether Medicare will pay for it. By the way, I am in love with Cardio mode. Forget Peloton, Hydrow, Nordic Track. Even Crossfit. I've done them all and Audio Trips is way more fun. Even more fun than a cookies and whipped cream full buffet, taylor swift midnight beach rum dance party. (Full disclosure: I've NOT done that. Now where did I put her phone number...)
Yes, great idea! I am working on an updated video now that we've updated the Editor so much. I want to show you all the tips and tricks we've learned (and designed / re-designed) along the way! ~Ashley
Brilliant!! Now all I'd like is extra music packs, happy to pay for them as DLC (I tried a few custom song downloads but they're too difficult at the moment). This is so much better than Beat Sabre :)
This video is very helpful. I find beginner relaxing even though I’m not perfect at it, but regular is too challenging. I wonder if the speed scales linearly. Speed of 1/15 makes a 3 minute song 45 minutes!
I got an Oculus Quest 2as a birthday gift and I *love* Audio Trip! I've been playing it daily and enjoying every second of it but I have a question - how do I pause the game...?
We're so glad you're loving it so far! Pausing the game depends on which controllers / system you're using to play the game. Check the right hand side message board in the Hub World (main menu scene) to see what button to use to Pause your Trip.
Are there any good recommendations for improving accuracy? I notice that the triangles are positioned at different angles throughout the course of the game. Do I need to reangle how the controller would "hit" the triangles for better accuracy? I feel like I will get 100% but my Accuracy is mid - 80s on some levels but 90s on others.
Hi there - For practicing accuracy, it might be best to just use the editor and either play in there at a slower speed, or slow down the gem speed and save a copy to practice with. If you mean the directional gems (the rotated gems that have sparks coming into them) -- Those seem to be the toughest for most people. The trick is to think of your hands as a ball going into them like they are a mitt. You swipe into the center of them. Hopefully this helps! Thanks so much for playing our game!
@@KinemotikStudios Thanks so much for the tip! I will give it a try. Love the game - play it every chance I get! Can't wait for new releases for song or other modes/modifiers, or even a mode where you can play with friends to battle out the level :)
Im the same but I got 50 percent or lower. I still dont get how the accurray thing works.. Please explain how I have to Hit the the gems.. I Hit over 90 percent but accurracy kills my rating
I tried to edit the speed and I saved it and exit but when I went back to the hub. It was not saved. I tried it several times and it's the same thing. Do you know why?
Hm... Are you still having this issue? Maybe we could help with a bit more information... Was it a built-in or custom installed song? And is this in the latest version we released in December? If you are on Discord, please tell us more about your issue in our Audio Trip server support channels: discord.gg/5HXwSHUVCG Hope you're enjoying the game otherwise!
We're so glad you love it! We're working on more content to bring to you all. In the meantime, check out a growing custom choreography community here: discord.gg/gJA73JCMJ4
That's for the YUR watch leaderboards: Calories and Squats. Those leaderboards reset every week. You can only see them if you have the YUR watch enabled.

There's a phrase used by many professional musicians when trying to master a new piece: "For fast progress, practice slowly."
Thank you for this! Perhaps you could put in a plug for the video going through all the editor options at the end?
