@UCIDxRRdowWusv8-IO0lpVfg The Body is larger to help the lower pitches resonate better. As a Guitarist the Banjitar will work, but for Mandolin picking I found this guy:goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone/instruments/mb-850-plus the Mandolin-Banjo. The Strings on the Cello Banjo (aka Bass-Baritone Banjo) are made out of Nylon wound in Metal, they're under lower tension than Steel Strings so they're easier to press down.
I forgot to ask. What kind/type of strings are used? I've tried claw hammer with my 5 string steel strings and found it was kind difficult to play with the strings closer together. B.O.Bs strings look further apart.
Gold tone sells specially made cello banjo strings. They're nylon. Medium gauge .028 - .034 - .042 - .048 - .028 They make a light gauge too but I don't know the numbers. At the base, the neck is about as wide as a classical guitar.
I love the sound
Perfect for mento music, much closer to the timbre of the gourd banjo.
Man that song you play at 1:39 is probably one of the most badass songs I’ve heard
What is the name of that first song?
Made me tingly inside.
I think B.O.B. Sounds incredible!! WOW
Deep in the holler.
Banjo Ben Clark In treble clef it sounds 2 octaves lower than written.
Banjtastic!
I WANT ONE...!!!

We be thinkin' alike, Randy, we be thinkin' alike...!
Sounds deeper than a Prust. Have you played both? Do they compare?
They don't compare at all. Very different instruments. One is a tackhead and the other is a cello.
