Rory! This is fantastic. It's so great to hear you playing the cello banjo. I'm grateful to Gold Tone for making these. Hope to see you in person. Marcy Marxer
I'm in the middle of trying to create a radius Cello type finger board on a banjo, because a bowed banjo string sounds so good, like a Chinese or Middle Eastern bowed instrument.
I have strummed leftie guitars. But I learned to play on my dad and Grandpa's right handed instruments, so even though I play them left, I'm more comfortable on right instruments since that's wht I learned on.
@@roryhoffman485 Ok but you do come up with various ways to play instruments. On your Cello Banjo try playing and singing Sweet Caroline (Hands Washing Hands remix). We multi instrumentalists are going through a rough time. Did you see my cover of Sweet Caroline (Hands....Washing Hands remix) on 12 String Guitar?
@@roryhoffman485 The Qanun is meant to be played on the lap and you can strum with both hands for rich harmonies. The Keytar is a type of Keyboard that uses a strap. I think Sweet Caroline (Hands....Washing Hands version) would sound good on all the instruments you play cause the new lyrics were done by Neil Diamond himself.
Learning an instrument is like learning a language, once you do it once, it's way easier to do it again. After tens or hundreds of instruments, it probably all blends together
Stringed instruments (and Music theory) all become the same thing after a while, no matter what style music or instrument, they all have the same inherent recognizable patterns and techniques . Learn to play one string well , or more precisely , learn to play two strings side by side well) and it can be applied to all string instruments.
This man deserves more recognition than he gets for what he does.
This man is the best musician in Nashville.

Ha its me!
Is your left wrist muting the head? Does your left pinky on the bridge change the tone appreciably?
...but that's not how it's played (damn he's good)
Nice banjo, have you tried strumming a left handed guitar?

How do you practice all these instruments until you're proficient at all of them?
