Amazing performance. Cannot figure out why Bernhoft is not much much more popular as an artist. The man is a musical genius, master multi-instrumentalist, great songwriter, loop artist, great performer and all around cool guy. I started watching The Voice Norway because of him and I’m hooked. I love that Jarle is so unfiltered and genuine as he watches performances…just a delight to see him so unabashedly drawn in. He just exudes Joy! I hope he continues on in The Voice Norway. And great duet…with perfect song choice.
He was good but clearly not the best, he's not consistent enough. Sounds really good at some points and OK at others. Other talents are 100% throughout there whole song. The Norway voice just has such good contenders, Very difficult show to win with the bar so high.

Brilliant performance. Can't believe I only came across this now. I watched Lavrans's earlier performances and saw that Jarle Bernhoft most wholeheartedly enjoyed each of those performances. It's such a wonderful moment to see them performing together. Their vocals complement each other in the most amazing way. As someone who's not from Norway, I didn't know Bernhoft had such impressive vocals. Wish he'll recieve the recognition he deserves as one of the commentors has also mentioned. Is it my imagination or does the voice of Norway produce some exceptional music performers. So many wonderful artists and the judges on the show are the best and seem to really enjoy these performers.
No imagination 😉 The talents keeps on appearing every year, you would think there woulnt be a lot left after 9 seasons…(they have allready started the application process for next season). The mentors are not high on themselves as a lot of mentors in other countries tend to be. They support eachother and all the contestants no matter what team they are on…and all contestants get praise from the other mentors. Since the contestants can chose their own songs, there are usually more interesting for the viewers and not only e same songs as used everywhere. The band is also very good, so is the sound production. The only negative thing is that they dont listen to feedback they get and upload the complete performances with feedback from the mentors which is really annoying (because people always ask and its a lot of job for us «normal» youtube viewers to translate and write everything….and also way to short performances. They have to cut it down to 2 min and thats too short.

I know a lot of international fans of The Voice Norway were very upset that Matoma was replaced by Jarle, but I love Jarle as a mentor. Jarle and Lavrans has been a match made in heaven and Lavrans couldnt have had a better mentor for him with the little experience he had before the competition. Jarle is an all around fantastic artist (and great and funny guy) who has shared a lot of his knowledge with Lavrans (he has also learnt a lot from Lavrans in return he said). Lavrans has told how Jarle has given him a lot of confidence. He had literally no experiemce before The Voice. He didnt even want to bother his friends and family with his singing and kept it mostly inside (singing in the shower and in front of the mirror). Matoma is a DJ, not a singer. I dont believe Matoma would have mentored him the same way Jarle did….none of the other mentors would, so I am extremely happy Jarle is there as a mentor (even though he replaced Matoma). Its great that Jarle said he isnt finished with his mentoring and will continue to be there and help Lavrans. Crazy to think that we could have missed the huge talent Lavrans is, if it wasnt for him.
I totally agree with you! I think that Jarle was the perfect match for Lavrans. Because if Jarle wasn’t a mentor, he wouldn’t have made it through the blind auditions. I hope that Jarle continues to work with Lavrans and helps him with his music career.

Ina is a huge fan of both of them. She has numerous of times said how much she loves Lavrans. The judges always show respect to eachother and eachothers contestants. They always praise everyone.
Jarle Bernhoft is an incredible artist. He is a multi talented musician woth an incredible soulful voice. No imagination 😉 The talents keeps on appearing every year, you would think there woulnt be a lot left after 9 seasons…(they have allready started the application process for next season). The mentors are not high on themselves as a lot of mentors in other countries tend to be. They support eachother and all the contestants no matter what team they are on…and all contestants get praise from the other mentors.
Since the contestants can chose their own songs, there are usually more interesting for the viewers and not only e same songs as used everywhere. The band is also very good, so is the sound production.
The only negative thing is that they dont listen to feedback they get and upload the complete performances with feedback from the mentors which is really annoying (because people always ask and its a lot of job for us «normal» youtube viewers to translate and write everything….and also way to short performances. They have to cut it down to 2 min and thats too short.

«I never could sing before as I can now, I could never reach those tones or have the control I have now. It is totally sick! I think it was a bit scary before, but now it’s fun.

“The first time I was on stage, it looked like I had control and had fun, but inside of me I was just thinking ‘no, no, no!’” But then I looked at it afterwards, and then it has gradually come to mind that I also enjoy being on stage. I feel like I’m getting a lot of energy out of being on stage.

I know a lot of international fans of The Voice Norway were very upset that Matoma was replaced by Jarle, but I love Jarle as a mentor. Jarle and Lavrans has been a match made in heaven and Lavrans couldnt have had a better mentor for him with the little experience he had before the competition. Jarle is an all around fantastic artist (and great and funny guy) who has shared a lot of his knowledge with Lavrans (he has also learnt a lot from Lavrans in return he said). Lavrans has told how Jarle has given him a lot of confidence. He had literally no experiemce before The Voice. He didnt even want to bother his friends and family with his singing and kept it mostly inside (singing in the shower and in front of the mirror). Matoma is a DJ, not a singer. I dont believe Matoma would have mentored him the same way Jarle did….none of the other mentors would, so I am extremely happy Jarle is there as a mentor (even though he replaced Matoma). Its great that Jarle said he isnt finished with his mentoring and will continue to be there and help Lavrans. Crazy to think that we could have missed the huge talent Lavrans is, if it wasnt for him.

Btw, Lavrans has allready booked his first festival. He will perform at a festival called «Idyll-festivalen» where artists like Kygo, Astrid S and some other well known Norwegian artists and some foreign artists will perform (around 30k attendance). The festival is actually in his hometown.

Jarle Bernhoft is an incredible artist. He is a multi talented musician woth an incredible soulful voice. He started in a rock band, then he toured solo as a one man band with his loop pedals (cause he couldnt afford to go on tour with a full band) and now he sings more R’NB / souldpop music with his guitar.
