Even in polls in Norway and when people where asked who they would vote every week Lavrans had about 70% compared to the others. Maybe someone did him a favor, cause now he isnt tied to a strict The Voice contract. Those has always been critisized as being more of a curse. Now he is more free to chose who to collaborate with and how he wants his career to pan out. Maybe the record labels voted Inger Lise to get a hold on Lavrans, LOL
@@In_my_own_mind That could be very true. The contracts for winners of The Voice are very limited in scope and most of the time the winners remain as unknown as they were before winning. Whilst Inger has an undeniably exceptional voice and I think deserved the win, maybe you’re right, Norwegian record producers and music sponsors possibly knew that the winner of The Voice is doomed to a single musical contract determined by The Voice itself, whereas everyone else is free to pursue whatever they want. And being the runner-up & attracting thousands worldwide to this show because of your voice and stage presence, maybe the voters did Lavrans a favor this way. Time will tell.

If The Voice was about THE voice, Lavrans would have won. His voice was uniqe and expressive, and he could touch people's soul with that voice. His voice was not a simple karaoke voice for popular power ballads. Lavrans is giving the world soul again.
He's amazing, but if it's really about the VOICE and nothing else, Inger Lise Hope deserved the win as she has the best VOICE. But her song choices seem to be boring
Actually, Inger Lise has better control of her instruments and very rarely, if ever, sounds pitchy. HOWEVER, perfectly delivered songs have shifted in significance over these past years and we'd (or I would) rather listen to someone like Lavrans who makes us (me) feel something through his singing.

His dad who has now taken the role as his manager said his mobile have been busy from morning to evening and his mail box full. Lavrans has allready been booked until January he said. Dont know what kind of bookings that is, but I hope he wont settle for small local events cause he needs to perform on the biggest stages to reach as many people as possible, as he has said he wants to do with his music. Spread love. I really hope Eurovision is in his thoughts cause that is the biggest stage and music platform to start his journey. He would get free promotion and a lot of new fans and probably also the same attention and interest as Måneskin got. They wouldnt have won an American grammy and music awards or been invited to big talk shows and festivals, touring adound the world etc without the expoaure in Eurovision, so I hope and cross my fingers that we will see him in MGP allready next year. The woman who won has a great voice, but is so normal. Her voice is impressive more than felt for me. But this guy is in your soul rewiring it!! What a brilliant young artist he is. Nothing against the winner, but I am in line waiting to purchase his first record!!!
I could't agree more. He is a complete artist, despite the fact that he only sang in the shower before he joined The Voice. I believe he has a strong and genuine drive to express himself, and would probably succeed in any artistic genre. A young, empathetic and inspiring soul that I look forward to following.

This guy is absolutely amazing. Love his voice, his clothes, he looks like an Angel, a Greek god or a elf coming from a fantasy world. He is so out of this world. Hope he wins the show ! He is the best. Love from France.
He came 2nd. He deserved to win though. The most unique artist we have ever seen in Norway and had no experience before The Voice. He is the full package. I think its better for him to not be tied to the strict The Voice contract with Universal music the winner gets though so he can control his own career. He will be signed sooner or later and they better hurry, cause he is a rare diamond.

Most people of Norway knew Inger Lise was doomed to win. They loved the SONGS she sang, and not her voice. Also, if you look at the song the judges sing as the opening of the finales, 80% of the contestants on the TVes in the studio only shows Inger Lise. The people of Norway is robbed of hearing a TRUE voice and not just a master karaoke singer like Inger Lise.

Lavrans really grew on me this season, started out not really paying much attention, but each performance you could see him becoming more and more comfortable and man what an absolutely fantastic final form he reached in The Voice. And I say in The Voice, because I have no doubt at all that this is just the beginning of his musical career. He is definitely the winner in my heart, but thinking of it logically, I think it's good for him that he didn't win because now he is truly free to choose his own road and nr. 2 more often than not becomes the biggest star

Oh, there were a lot of people who understood Lavrans and were mesmirized by him. I was pretty sure he would win considering I havent seen people support Inger Lise in the same numbers or the same way. Some people vote for the stupidest thing though, thats why this mentor/contestant duet as the only song all of them performed in the final was a stupid idea: Came across someone who said she was going to vote for Lavrans but then she saw Espen on stage and voted for him (aka Inger Lise) instead?!? Also, for some reason it felt like Tv2 was pushing Inger Lise to win. Even in the intro where the mentors sang and they showed lips from their journey, she was the one being highlighted. We hardly saw or heard comments about Lavrans. Its as if they were afraid he was so popular that they had to do something to stop him, to get a female winner. There have mostly been male winners. They decided in the super final that they both should keep the same voting number (Lavrans #1 and Inger Lise #2) but at the same time Inger Lise performed as #1 and Lavrans as #2. Completely opposite and very confusing when they have always done it in a certain way so people were used to voting for the number of their order of performance. Its been like that every live show for several seasons. Maybe people were out to go to the toilet or pick something in the kitchen fex and they didnt hear that they kept their first voting number even if they switched their order of performance. I almost did the mistake and voted #2 (Inger Lise) since Lavrans performed 2nd but saw by coincidence it said #1 next to his name. I hardly look ar the text on the screen cause its usually the same way of voting every time. Thats why I think they tried to confuse or manipulate so that some people who wanted to vote for Lavrans voted Inger Lise instead. Lavrans has been the most popular and has had a lot more support everywhere even in polls in news papers omline. I knew when I realized they did this confusing voting thing that Lavrans would lose. Had a feeling since he was the one who would lose the most if people voted on the wrong number. I stand by this theory…and I feel sorry for Lavrans who really wanted to win. And its also fristrating for him with no experience to be so close and lose to someone with so much experienced who has performed on stage aince she was little.. Inger Lise also chose really predictable and boring songs to impres and show her range. She didnt show what kind of artist she is, like Lavrans did every time. The only time was in the semi. Some people hear a high note and get impressed, but even the mentors have said on several occasions that the high notes isnt what is the most difficult, but the softer notes where you pour your heart out and show your fragility and nerves. Of course Inger Lise’s voice is impressive, but I mich prefer to listen to a voice like Lavrans has which is way more i teresting and unique. I do think its a blessiNg in disguis that Lavrans didnt win and had to be tied to a strict The Voice contract with Universal music. He will get signed, thats for certain. The label who gets him are so lucky…and he will be able to buy himself a better car than the winner won…but for him it would have been cool of course to have that title of being a The Voice winner. Now though he can control his own career and what he wants to do and not being forced under a strict contract that could last for years. Sorry for the long post. I am just babbling, LOL.
Lavrans took me to a different "zone spiritually" with his ethereal passionate vocals and dynamic presence! Even in polls in Norway and when people where asked who they would vote every week Lavrans had about 70% compared to the others. Maybe someone did him a favor, cause now he isnt tied to a strict The Voice contract. Those has always been critisized as being more of a curse. Now he is more free to chose who to collaborate with and how he wants his career to pan out. Maybe the record labels voted Inger Lise to get a hold on Lavrans, LOL

Whilst Inger has an undeniably exceptional voice and I think deserved the win, maybe you’re right, Norwegian record producers and music sponsors possibly knew that the winner of The Voice is doomed to a single musical contract determined by The Voice itself, whereas everyone else is free to pursue whatever they want. And being the runner-up & attracting thousands worldwide to this show because of your voice and stage presence, maybe the voters did Lavrans a favor this way. Time will tell.

His dad who has now taken the role as his manager said his mobile have been busy from morning to evening and his mail box full. Lavrans has allready been booked until January he said. Dont know what kind of bookings that is, but I hope he wont settle for small local events cause he needs to perform on the biggest stages to reach as many people as possible, as he has said he wants to do with his music. Spread love.
I really hope Eurovision is in his thoughts cause that is the biggest stage and music platform to start his journey. He would get free promotion and a lot of new fans and probably also the same attention and interest as Måneskin got. They wouldnt have won an American grammy and music awards or been invited to big talk shows and festivals, touring adound the world etc without the expoaure in Eurovision, so I hope and cross my fingers that we will see him in MGP allready next year. He needs to jump right into it while he is still sought after and in peoples mind. Imagine what a show he would have made on that big stage….

@@agaw2623He has definately support from most Norwegians. He is the one everyone talks about and in polls where they asked who they would vote for every week I would say 70% said Lavrans. It can be many reason he didnt win, but that Norwegians didnt support or appreciate him isnt one of those. He lost to an incredible vocalist and most people watching The voice only see/hear each performamce and isnt as invested to get to know everything as we are. Dont be too sad that he didnt win, cause Lavrans himself isnt.

So yes, clearly, this was the right choice for me now, Lavrans openly says to Fredriksstad Blad - before he quickly adds, with a big smile:
«Of course, it would have been fucking fun to win a car, that title of course... I could carry it on. And of course the record deal would be a nice thing, but I trust the world.»

“Yes, maybe, we’ll see, there are several people who have contacted me, so there’s probably something going on. I don’t know exactly what to say yes to yet, I really want to make an album, but we’ll see,” he says as cryptically as he can.
A record deal is far from unlikely, should we believe mentor Jarle Bernhoft. He has repeatedly praised his “student.”
«His future is great. He can go as far as he wants, he just has to find out what he wants. I think he is an artist of international format, the world lies at his feet. I think he should set his target now.
I saw it today, on the summary of his stages: There was something there at the blind-audition, but it wasn’t close to as good as it has become...
Jarle takes his breath:
“It is perverse, his rise, and it is not my merit, it is his work - he has become more and more secure in its own skin,” he told Fredriksstad Blad on Friday night.
Lavrans has heard these words before, but obviously appreciates hearing it again.
“It’s wild, it’s what I’ve felt I’m was going to do - out into the world and make music for more people than Norway, and when Jarle see it and others see it, and the world is now starting to contact me and say it, it’s SO big,” said the 22-year-old.
No doubt that his fancrowd is growing internationally. Before today’s final, he actually got a flower bouquet from a fan from abroad.
But most importantly is Lavran’s personal development over the past six months.
It was also totally crazy. He is the same guy, a humble guy to be around, and then the music has become insanely good. He really cares about others as a human being - and he has grown massively as a human, so the music comes as a result of it,” says Bernhoft.
“I see this as a great development for me, a lot of lessons and it has given me a great deal of confidence. And a step further, a step forward in life, but that step was bigger than what I expected,” says the main person himself..
Although The Voice’s experience is as fresh as it could have been, he has already managed to reflect on what his last months have done to him as a person.
«I never could sing before as I can now, I could never reach those tones or have the control I have now. It is totally sick! I think it was a bit scary before, but now it’s fun.
How has your life evolved, if we can call it that?
“The first time I was on stage, it looked like I had control and had fun, but inside of me I was just thinking ‘no, no, no!’” But then I looked at it afterwards, and then it has gradually come to mind that I also enjoy being on stage. I feel like I’m getting a lot of energy out of being on stage.

He came 2nd. He deserved to win though. The most unique artist we have ever seen in Norway and had no experience before The Voice. He is the full package. I think its better for him to not be tied to the strict The Voice contract with Universal music the winner gets though so he can control his own career. Lavrans really grew on me this season, started out not really paying much attention, but each performance you could see him becoming more and more comfortable and man what an absolutely fantastic final form he reached in The Voice. And I say in The Voice, because I have no doubt at all that this is just the beginning of his musical career. He is definitely the winner in my heart, but thinking of it logically, I think it's good for him that he didn't win because now he is truly free to choose his own road and nr. 2 more often than not becomes the biggest star

Lavrans brought a new elegant style in the Voice show, adding flavor, modernity and color. I wish people should have understood it and, voted him. By the way, he is the winner🥲🥲❤❤❤
Totally agree! He brought The Voice Norway forward and made it more accessible to the younger generation. Even the songs he chose were a bit more modern
Oh, there were a lot of people who understood Lavrans and were mesmirized by him. I was pretty sure he would win considering I havent seen people support Inger Lise in the same numbers or the same way. Some people vote for the stupidest thing though, thats why this mentor/contestant duet as the only song all of them performed in the final was a stupid idea: Came across someone who said she was going to vote for Lavrans but then she saw Espen on stage and voted for him (aka Inger Lise) instead?!? Also, for some reason it felt like Tv2 was pushing Inger Lise to win. Even in the intro where the mentors sang and they showed lips from their journey, she was the one being highlighted. We hardly saw or heard comments about Lavrans. Its as if they were afraid he was so popular that they had to do something to stop him, to get a female winner. There have mostly been male winners.
They decided in the super final that they both should keep the same voting number (Lavrans #1 and Inger Lise #2) but at the same time Inger Lise performed as #1 and Lavrans as #2. Completely opposite and very confusing when they have always done it in a certain way so people were used to voting for the number of their order of performance. Its been like that every live show for several seasons. Maybe people were out to go to the toilet or pick something in the kitchen fex and they didnt hear that they kept their first voting number even if they switched their order of performance. I almost did the mistake and voted #2 (Inger Lise) since Lavrans performed 2nd but saw by coincidence it said #1 next to his name. I hardly look ar the text on the screen cause its usually the same way of voting every time. Thats why I think they tried to confuse or manipulate so that some people who wanted to vote for Lavrans voted Inger Lise instead.
Lavrans has been the most popular and has had a lot more support everywhere even in polls in news papers omline. I knew when I realized they did this confusing voting thing that Lavrans would lose. Had a feeling since he was the one who would lose the most if people voted on the wrong number. I stand by this theory…and I feel sorry for Lavrans who really wanted to win. And its also fristrating for him with no experience to be so close and lose to someone with so much experienced who has performed on stage aince she was little.. Inger Lise also chose really predictable and boring songs to impres and show her range. She didnt show what kind of artist she is, like Lavrans did every time. The only time was in the semi.
Some people hear a high note and get impressed, but even the mentors have said on several occasions that the high notes isnt what is the most difficult, but the softer notes where you pour your heart out and show your fragility and nerves. Of course Inger Lise’s voice is impressive, but I mich prefer to listen to a voice like Lavrans has which is way more i teresting and unique.
I do think its a blessiNg in disguis that Lavrans didnt win and had to be tied to a strict The Voice contract with Universal music. He will get signed, thats for certain. The label who gets him are so lucky…and he will be able to buy himself a better car than the winner won…but for him it would have been cool of course to have that title of being a The Voice winner. Now though he can control his own career and what he wants to do and not being forced under a strict contract that could last for years.

Lavrans took me to a different "zone spiritually" with his ethereal passionate vocals and dynamic presence! He does something rare at this time in music... as everybody continues to say , Lavrans touches our hearts and minds with his soulful touching vocals and heartfelt expression of each song he sings!! He is a global winner beyond The Voice... Im a huge U.S. fan who discovered his mesmerizing "Stay" on UA-cam!! Love you Norway... you have a treasure in Lavrans!!

Lavrans Svendsen (22) has just answered the most journalistic question of them all: What feelings are passing through his body now?
Cause don’t believe it is a disappointed or broken guy from Fredrikstad who stands on the The Voice stage late Friday night, after losing out in the last obstacle: the super final.
«I think the world will give me what it will give. So I’m completely open to all the ways it wants me to go; no matter what happens, I think this is the right path. I do not want to lay any stones in front of me that should not be there. So yes, clearly, this was the right choice for me now, Lavrans openly says to Fredriksstad Blad - before he quickly adds, with a big smile:
«Of course, it would have been fucking fun to win a car, that title of course... I could carry it on. And of course the record deal would be a nice thing, but I trust the world.»
Maybe there’s a recording deal waiting for you anyway?
“Yes, maybe, we’ll see, there are several people who have contacted me, so there’s probably something going on. I don’t know exactly what to say yes to yet, I really want to make an album, but we’ll see,” he says as cryptically as he can.
A record deal is far from unlikely, should we believe mentor Jarle Bernhoft. He has repeatedly praised his “student.”
«His future is great. He can go as far as he wants, he just has to find out what he wants. I think he is an artist of international format, the world lies at his feet. I think he should set his target now.
I saw it today, on the summary of his stages: There was something there at the blind-audition, but it wasn’t close to as good as it has become...
Jarle takes his breath:
“It is insane, his rise, and it is not my merit, it is his work - he has become more and more secure in his own skin,” he told Fredriksstad Blad on Friday night.
Lavrans has heard these words before, but obviously appreciates hearing it again.
“It’s wild, it’s what I’ve felt I was meant to do - out into the world and make music for more people than Norway, and when Jarle see it and others see it, and the world is now starting to contact me and say it, it’s SO big,” said the 22-year-old.
No doubt that his fancrowd is growing internationally. Before today’s final, he actually got a flower bouquet from a fan from abroad.
But most importantly is Lavran’s personal development over the past six months.
It was also totally crazy. He is the same guy, a humble guy to be around, and then the music has become insanely good. He really cares about others as a human being - and he has grown massively as a human, so the music comes as a result of it,” says Bernhoft.
“I see this as a great development for me, a lot of lessons and it has given me a great deal of confidence. And a step further, a step forward in life, but that step was bigger than what I expected,” says the main person himself..
Although The Voice’s experience is as fresh as it could have been, he has already managed to reflect on what his last months have done to him as a person.
«I never could sing before as I can now, I could never reach those tones or have the control I have now. It is totally sick! I think it was a bit scary before, but now it’s fun.
How has your life evolved, if we can call it that?
“The first time I was on stage, it looked like I had control and had fun, but inside of me I was just thinking ‘no, no, no!’” But then I looked at it afterwards, and then it has gradually come to mind that I also enjoy being on stage. I feel like I’m getting a lot of energy out of being on stage.
And now there is no doubt about what Lavrans’ future plans are.
“Yes, now it’s all in” on music, he says to Fredriksstad Blad.
Then Bernhoft will guaranteed be a good help.
“My ‘mentoring’ is not over, I’m going to talk to him about the way forward - he has to find out where he wants to go, then it’s just to fire loose toward that goal.»
Is your relationship with Lavrans going beyond a pure job relationship?
«He’s become like a brother or son, or whatever you would call it. I recognize myself a lot in some of the processes he is now in, which I myself was in 20 years ago. My job as a mentor is more like an interlocutor, and it’s just as often that it snaps around; I look at him and think “That was smart, I’ll do the same.” So, we had a lot of good conversations, Bernhoft boasts.»
