Your spider friend looked like a Marbled Orb Weaver. Even though they are brightly colored they're not venomous. They are a great signal of Fall and Halloween.

almost the first one in......... like that plate steel slip together fire pit ,.... with a top plate to protect against rain, you can just keep throwing wood in from the side and it would just keep burning...
