  • I've been camping with Eddie for over 2 years now and I have finally found the perfect toilet for our adventures. The Trelino Origin composting toilet is a game changer for me. Check out the video and let me know what you think. Here is a link to the toilet that I uses.

Seriously, when it comes to camping or van life, this is probably one of the best toilet reviews I've ever seen! Thanks for sharing it!

I like the Bedside Commode Absorbent Pads for Portable Toilet Chair Bucket and Bedpan. Throw one in poop and throw another on top. Less messy than shavings. Bedside Commode Liners for Portable Toilet Chair Bucket and Bedpan TidyCare....For &25+ you can buy 96. That is 48+ poops without sawdust, etc

That is steeply priced for a bottle, bucket, seat, and separator.

695 is kinda wild..felt less surprised anyway when I saw it's made in Germany. Makes more sense why he was so upset over the lid getting oil on it.

naaa , the lip is not chainsaw oil , you could make it to the toilet fast enough??? haha cheaper way, i have the same toilet here, i use a 7 or 13 gal plastic bag for poop, in the bag is sawdust with a little water or dry, 1 lavender dryer sheet for sweet smell( and also for keeping mosquitos and nats and fly insects away from you during the number 1 or 2 or both)! the reason i dont like the design to catch the #1or 2 and save it, you have to smell it days later , and as you all know it s SMELLS LIKE SHIT? USE OF BAGS , 7, 13,, GALS, BAGS, OR THE SHOPPING BAGS FOR THE SUPERMARKETS ?MY TOILET , sit on a store plastic pallet , so when your going your feet arent in your chin, , the down on the floor , so can go "gently" and dont forget the mens book???

It's interesting but for the price I think I'll stick with a bucket and a bottle. If you were using it a lot if the woods weren't an option then it makes sense!

Your poo could drop on the plastic where you pee. And where you pee seems to be too high for those who have one that hangs low when sitting.

Looks nice for those that like composting toilets. As for me I’ll always be team black tank with a bidet toilet.

I've been using a dry toilet and separate Urine stand In my house for 2 years, no issues or problems. Another plus there's no use of water in both systems. What i used to cover my stools is use coffee grounds which I dry and store and use when needed.

Nice, so you put the internal lid on the solids side each time? Do you have to lift the seat to put on the solids container lid?

    • @DrenalinAdventures

Yes. You have to lift the internal lid to get to the solid waste container

Thats definitely a top notch unit, thanks for sharing the info! When tent camping and backpacking I usually use a gallon zip lock bag and some dirt (or cat litter if its convenient to dispose of) so I can redeposit things later or pack it out when appropriate. Side note I've seen a few folks in wet environments who burn their TP in a cat hole to reduce whats left behind.
