More accurately, his friends. Despite Kaido(the strongest creature) being right in front of her, telling her Luffy has croaked, Nami didn't "lose her nerve". She "held on" to hope, and the sun indeed did rise.
It may very well be the inspiration for the letter (doubt that aswell) but its more likely just a D. like I dont think there is any word, its just a letter. And the meaning could come from Don, but I think its just a smile.
"Doesn't matter who you are some day you'll just be bones." This really reminded me of Saturn and how despite being basically invulnerable and immortal, he turned to bones. I will now choose to interpret this as a warning to Imu, who just like with "D." should know the whole meaning behind the song
@@FrancoDMatz That fact that almost a year ago D&D was saying that Oda wrote this and we absolutely need to pay attention, was great. When I was voice acting for chapter 1045 Luffy says to Kaido that death doesn’t matter to him anymore because in the end everyone dies, and I re-translated it as “when all is said and done you’ll just be a skeleton”, which is a common English translation of the second to the last line of Bink’s Sake.
@@Lakshmi-q1b7n think of it this way: 800 years ago, 20 kingdoms came together to create what is now known as the world government. It is said that there has been a group who, for the lack of a better word, rebelled against this regime. This group, allegedly lead by Joy Boy, had to have had a name. Kinda like Luffy's crew are the Strawhat pirates, Law's the Heart Pirates, Kaido's Beast Pirates, etc. As confirmed, JoyBoy was the first pirate, and since he possibly was the previous user of the Nika fruit, it comes to stand that they were the Don pirates. "Don" being the sound the drums make. Now we know how messed up the world government is, what with the erasing of entire islands and races. It's possible that the Don pirates have been captured and killed by the WG, and like we've witnessed many a times in One Piece, there must be no affiliation to anyone or anything connected to a certain period of time or person (Like how they hunted and killed anyone thought to be pregnant with Roger's baby) The will of D refers to the will of the group who stood against the 20 monarchs, and who are most likely to carry on that will? Friends and family of said group. Don Don Don

As we know, the world government erased everything about joyboy. I assume joyboys crew or whoever made this song wanted to depict joy boys story without the world government knowing, sortve like how in wano they had the moon for the followers of kozuki.

Ok so, what I got from this video is that the D family carries the sound 'don' basically their heartbeat and hence they smile at their deaths which can be interpreted as joyboy laughing from his heart 'don'. It would make sense that the D family are carrying the will of joyboy in their heartbeat which sounds like a drum 'don'.
It would be interesting if the Will of D being passed down is a reference to Don. I’d be curious to look back and see if every death of a confirmed holder of the Will of D is accompanied by a ‘Don!’ on the panel when they smile. Their deaths are always impactful events, so it’s likely this is the case

@GrandLineReview "The waves are our pillows, the ship our roost." Yet another reminder we have no idea where the Oro Jackson is / what is with that giant egg on top.
This video just gave me an awesome idea for manga websites. As an English reader I know what the sound effects symbols are I just never know what sounds they represent. How cool would it be if there was a site to read manga that incorporated eye tracking software so that when you view a panel the site will play the audio of the corresponding sound effects. That would be epic.
Everytime you say check the link in the description. I never see it in the description. (I exaggerated a little but still a lot of times is missing) still you channels are awesome, and i watched a lot of them, and continue to watch them.
This is why I’m on board with the “The One Piece is Sake” theory. Sake would be a funny treasure to leave behind and drinking it would be a way to connect the past and the present.
Songs, drums, music. I really think it would be cool if the One Piece was a energy generator related to music and joy. Like it fills up with energy when someone sings or plays an instrument. Would connect with Vegapunk's "infinite energy" thing and makes sense that the WG doesn't want that power in the hands of the world
Do all these Dons! and drums and dawns make anyone else want to re-examine Drum island… Dr. Hiriluk’s famous speech about dying only when forgotten… the lore drop of Gol D Roger… the meaning of the pirate flag… the cherry blossoms… the background intros of Ace and Blackbeard… All of that in an arc where Luffy is trying to save a friend by climbing to the top of the world in an unjust land where not 20 kings but 20 doctors hold sway over who lives and who dies, beholden to the rule of an inept and hollow leader who devours his subordinates for power, only to be defeated by a determined young pirate who holds freedom and joy above all else… Not to mention I think there’s more to choppers human human fruit than meets the eye. Lots to ponder
Never noticed the prevalent use of DON on that song, it really reminds me of Tom (Franky's mentor from Water 7), who is deeply connected to the void century by being a holder of a copy of Pluton blueprints... how did he got a hold on those btw?
I mean then maybe the answer to what D stands for is the Ockohms razor provided through this song. D stands for Don, the beat of liberation. To liberate us from the tyrannical gods, the beats of Nika’s drum must live on through generations to eventually play their liberating song
There was a theory in one of denden kushis theory videos(the theory compilations cant remember which number) say that the bink in bink's sake is an acronym for Brewed in Nikas kingdom is talked about other things about the ancient kingdom but you should watch it was a nice vid
Bink's Sake rebinds me of Bugg's Bunny. The original note on the rabbit was meant to be "a bunny drawn by Bug" and so we get "Bugs Bunny" as the character. I can totally see Oda pulling a similar "the person who made the Sake is who the song is named after but at this point its its taken on its own life and is a seperate thing.
"Manu has a complicated theory" understatement of the year mate. Love ohara but man some of his theories and what ifs are not watchable for me. That said, is blue banana been made into blue banana bread?
Can you imagine, the One Piece is actually a giant drain plug. Luffy leading, with everyone else in the world singing Binks sake, the Drums of Liberation serving as the rhythm, as Humans, Fishmen, Long arms, Long legs and other races pull on the chains as one. Saving the world of the disaster that is the rising waters
what if those that say good bye are the strawhats, them parting ways. usopp staying at elbaf makes a lot of sense to me. Being one of luffys fleet, his own captain.
I heard someone mention that the minks are important to Joyboy and poneglyphs, even to the point of wondering if Joyboy was a Mink. What if there was a mistranslation over centuries and Bink's Sake is actually Mink's Sake?
Just imagine Oda sitting there writing one piece coming up with every lyric based on the future experience of the straw hats being like “no one will see it coming”.

Like Ive been trying to think of a better ending and I just cant, Without going into far more detail on THAT ending I cant think of how it could be better, Sun Rises over calm Sea on entire cast weve met over years enjoying n celebrating a new found peace in a world undivided and united through none other than Monkey D Luffy and Strawhats…
The one piece wasn't the friends we made along the way, it was the journey we had along the way. The triumphs, the people lost, the happy moments. The one piece isn't an object. We are the one piece. That is why the first one piece song is named we are, because WE ARE THE ONE PIIIIEEEECEEE!!!
This song is what got me into One Piece in the first place, listening to the song on UA-cam + seeing Brook's backstory
I love bink’s sake, I got excited when at the end of film Red Ado starting singing it
Song of the sky - Skypeans
Song of the waves - humans / giants
Song of the deep sea - fishmen
🤔
Ive recently watched thriller bark and reading the lyrics and trying to connect it to current events is kinda craaazy
ahhh the Mr Horse plugin swoosh sound had me questioning my life as i was editing and didnt know where it came from lol your editors have good taste liam!
My naming being Don felt weird hearing it so much. Thank you. This fucking story is getting as carzy as I thought it would and I love it…. The world being in an 800 year darkness waiting for the dawn of the sun definitely is how out world has been…… this story is the story.
@GrandLineReview "The waves are our pillows, the ship our roost." Yet another reminder we have no idea where the Oro Jackson is / what is with that giant egg on top.
I remember that speed up was send from skypia to impel down it was amazing
This video just gave me an awesome idea for manga websites. As an English reader I know what the sound effects symbols are I just never know what sounds they represent.
How cool would it be if there was a site to read manga that incorporated eye tracking software so that when you view a panel the site will play the audio of the corresponding sound effects.
That would be epic.
@GrandLineReview you missed the link to Ohara's video in the description.
Bro has been eating those Dak's Sake theories like candy
Not the Ancient Weapons. Enough people sing the song and the Ancient Kingdom Rises from the Sea.
I knew a video was going to release around this timeframe. My internal clock has learned the tides of the releases.
Brb going to listen to sogeking theme 1:16 need that
how was it?
@@FrankieWithAY splendid 👌
My favorite characters Dad says one of my favorite lines, "Do it with a Don!"
"Never-ending, ever-wandering, our Laughtale."
So it's a mobile island?
Maybe Luffy was so dead set on having a musician in the crew due to the song being vital at some point to fulfill that prophecy
I’m here early with one view but 14 comments obviously time travelers have appeared.
Hey man in the Internet i've been informing myself of one piece by watching this videos, lote from Chile almost 2 yers watching
I wonder if the one piece is just a big stone slab with this song engraved on it
Everytime you say check the link in the description. I never see it in the description. (I exaggerated a little but still a lot of times is missing) still you channels are awesome, and i watched a lot of them, and continue to watch them.
I get it now. The will of DON!
KREIIIIGGG
@playfulwaddles DONT FORGET GIIIIIN
When you kept saying dawn/don my brain kept going to water7 tom san -- would that be a pluton connection too? "...Do it with a don~"
Would connect with Vegapunk's "infinite energy" thing and makes sense that the WG doesn't want that power in the hands of the world
when you realize after viewing this Tom said " Do it with a Don" may also allude to the drums of liberation Don
Keep up the awesome work and videos Liam love the video
Do all these Dons! and drums and dawns make anyone else want to re-examine Drum island…
Dr. Hiriluk’s famous speech about dying only when forgotten… the lore drop of Gol D Roger… the meaning of the pirate flag… the cherry blossoms… the background intros of Ace and Blackbeard…
All of that in an arc where Luffy is trying to save a friend by climbing to the top of the world in an unjust land where not 20 kings but 20 doctors hold sway over who lives and who dies, beholden to the rule of an inept and hollow leader who devours his subordinates for power, only to be defeated by a determined young pirate who holds freedom and joy above all else…
Not to mention I think there’s more to choppers human human fruit than meets the eye. Lots to ponder
The lyrics remind me of Shipwright Tom and his saying of "Do it with a don!". Makes me wonder if Tom also knew the true meaning of this song.
Never noticed the prevalent use of DON on that song, it really reminds me of Tom (Franky's mentor from Water 7), who is deeply connected to the void century by being a holder of a copy of Pluton blueprints... how did he got a hold on those btw?
I'm getting a GrandLineReview video deja vu
I mean then maybe the answer to what D stands for is the Ockohms razor provided through this song. D stands for Don, the beat of liberation.
To liberate us from the tyrannical gods, the beats of Nika’s drum must live on through generations to eventually play their liberating song
I watch Ohara(Manu) and you so this is awesome
Nice video
what if those that say good bye are the strawhats, them parting ways. usopp staying at elbaf makes a lot of sense to me. Being one of luffys fleet, his own captain.
This video inspiring me is the latest thing I expected
Can the songs be related to The Ancient Weapons?
Song of the sky - Uranus
Song of the surface - Pluton
Song of the deep sea - Posiedon
I heard someone mention that the minks are important to Joyboy and poneglyphs, even to the point of wondering if Joyboy was a Mink.
What if there was a mistranslation over centuries and Bink's Sake is actually Mink's Sake?
