It's not that. We film exactly what the client pays for. Also, a lot of times buildings don't want to grant access to film common areas of the building.
So luxurious to have people living on top of you, crappy drywall all over the place so you can hear everything, no space, sharing everything and dying in a pancaking mess of concrete and steel!
