Good video
Nice vid, one thing I really like about Miami is that it's one of the few cities in the U.S that inspires a person to become successful. Really nice city!!🍻😎
I remember apartment hunting in brickell with a friend in 2017, she got a studio in ICON Brickell Building for $1600 and it was a big studio and balcony 6th floor. Most places we saw were under $2K in those days. Miami Beach you could get a studio $1200-1500. Those days are long gone, even though it wasn’t that long ago. There was a surplus in apartments, these days I’ve moved away from Florida but still got family there.
Yeah its changed a lot. You can’t find those prices anywhere in Miami anymore!
@@itsnicewithyoubelieve it or not those prices are coming back I’m seeing rentals in Bal Harbour and Surfside under $2000 k a month.
These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.
Great video! I really have a question. For someone with less than $3,000 to invest, how would you recommend we enter the crypto market? I am looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach?
My advice: for newbies to grow financially this year, invest. Saving is good, but investing elevates your finances. Why newbie make huge losses on trade is because investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. that will stop you from trading, this has been one of the biggest problem to new traders, I've learned this from my own experience
Honestly, it would be a dream to live in Brickell I love everything about it; the beautiful buildings, restaurants and malls I could definitely imagine myself living here .
It’s a great place! 😊
Trust me brickell gets old, fast. It’s a wannabe New York or “big city” with no established roots. It just became a spot around the recession in 2010/2011 during the crash . Before that it was nothing. It’s not rich in character …yet. People rent or buy then get out pretty fast. No one really talks about it bc it’s such a transient city. And over hyped… personally speaking as a resident of Miami Beach for 24 years…I would love brickell too for 2 years lol 😂 ppl just move here to say they lived here.
It’s so out of my price range and I’m sure affordable housing is not looking 👀 upon to favorably😏 (if they even have it) 😆 lol
Living in miami last 3 years after covid its getting crazy in miami very expensive and salaries are less than newyork and LA .
Miami car insurance home insurance is highest allover in USA groceries also expensive.
The problem of Miami is not about the cost of living, but Floods, hurricanes, home homeowners insurance, insurance premium, flood insurance..... that's why alot of people are leaving Miami....
Home insurance is too costly...
Property tax is also too expensive...
If you are living on a rented apartment then it's Okay....
Thanks for the video by the way..
Great video, I miss Brickell, whenever I get to the US and visit Miami I stay in Brickell for a few days just for the vibe. Cheers from Bucharest, Romania!
Thanks! It’s a great place 🫶
Was it really a great video? 😂
Bucharest, lived there for two years!! Love ❤️ it!!
Special assessment will cost each unit 300k. HOA's are 4k monthly. Banks won't finance because they're rotting from salt air. They're also uninsurable. Thousand are for sale. Owners are desperate to sell.
That makes sense. Sounds like rent would be the way to go
I own a 4000sf custom log home on 20 acres with a private bridge crossing a creek and my mortgage is only $1400 a month!
sounds awesome, what state?
May be in Puerto Rico😅😅😅
Actually if purchased in 2010 to 2013 timeframe doable in any state except maybe Ca. But even there maybe in outlying area. @@saysumesh
That sounds amazing. Would you ever Airbnb?
I lived on Brickell in 1977, in the converted attic of an old Miami mansion from the 1920’s from a kind couple that rented it to single men. About 1/4 mile from the old DuPont Plaza.
$165 month. 😂
Now those are some prices! 😆
that was literally 50 years ago
South Florida has become one of the worst places to live. Traffic is horrible, beyond overpriced and the beach’s are like big giant toilet bowls
These high costs just kills it for me. I dont want to move to a place where I have to work 24/7 just to survive
Well then Miami is DEFINITELY not for you…
DO SALES. You can make a lot easily.

As someone who was born and raised in Miami, i never understood the allure to brickell so many nicer areas than brickell.
There's like 5 blocks of restaurants 😅
because of the restaurants, malls and being in downtown
This video was truly amazing and informative great content ❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🏼
Spending money you don't have on things you don't need to impress people you don't like.
Thank you for the video, well filmed and good info. I will not be moving to Brickell, 😳.
Glad we could help 😂
@@itsnicewithyou You and couple others in videos too, did help. I was thinking moving, living mostly in Peru, have small place Miami to return to the U.S. Seems very unlucky even if I only get haircuts in Peru, lol.
It's simply the cost of Paradise🏝
Brickell is beautiful, thanks for the content guys, want to go there for the holidays, cheers from the Netherlands.
Dankjewel! I’m also from the Netherlands 😊 (Julia)
I’m a single male entrepreneur in my early 40s. I have lived in Brickell for the last 14 years, but the cost of living in this area has gone up about 40% just in the last 3.5 years.
Te monthly cost of living for me here is about 14k / month; this includes a 2 bedroom high rise, food (lots of Uber Eats), basic weekend entertainment, and the cost of a private Boat Marina (Rickenbaker).
You can do it for less or for more of course. Depends on your life style and toys :)
The politicians will say that rents skyrocketing is only happening in California, but it's clearly happening in FL as well.
Lol you're paying high rent and don't even own the property crazy.
You must have extremely deep pockets or just won the lotto lol
I was paying $2400 a month in edgewater during covid. The same unit went to $5000 post covid. Now I pay $5400 a month in brickell.
😂😂😂
Wish I was in Miami but I'm in Pompano in a 2018 townhome 3/3 for 2750. hard to leave. even dt fort lauderdale has shitty condos for 3500

I love the vibe in Brickell! But I like to dip in & out! Quiet life for me these days! Btw your camera is 🔥. What are you using if you care to share?
We’ll probably be ready for something more calm soon but for now we still love it! Using an iPhone 14 Pro 😊
Are both of you originally from Miami? Because that lifestyle is way too expensive for your typical normal working person in Miami I am Miami born and raised here and that lifestyle you both live is not everyone’s daily life why don’t you all show little Havana and the real Miami where people are eating in small cafeterias for under $10 bucks your giving false hope to anyone who wants to move to Miami.
I’m sure there are a ton of videos about other parts of Miami but we are talking specifically about Brickell in this video 😊
I think they’re branding their channel to & for a specific audience. You should start a YT channel & show the lil Havana style of life. I’ll watch
To answer your question, NO they are not from Miami.
Or. Hear me out. Why don’t u watch a different video. Whether the life is normal or not. Ppl exist at all levels. Don’t go watch a BMW review and complain that they aren’t reviewing a Civic. That’s what the search function is designed for..look up what u want to watch and learn about.
I pretty much just go to Brickell to have a fun few days and then leave. Brickell is like Vegas to me. Personally, I wouldn't want to live there because the environment is surrounded around drinking. But, it's really nice (if you can afford it)
It can feel a little dense but we barely drink so it’s entirely what you make of it 😊
This is my dream City 🌆. Love from India

Can you advise rent price on a studio in the Equinox building?
Great video n great information, also would u guys say that brickell has a lot of job opportunities or great for networking for entrepreneurs?
Yes great networking for entrepreneurs! We talk about this in a video it’s called “Miami is the best place to live 2024”

Great video guys, thanks very helpful!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Considering moving from Tampa, mm it’s very enticing to think about
Is ICON brickell great for a single female and which one is the safest with the most fun vibe?
I pay 3k for 1b/1ba, which isn't terrible relative to what's around. 3 years ago i was paying 2.4k for 2b/2ba, however. The NYers came with the pandemic and jacked the prices up...
Your could rent an apartment in Brickell for 4K a month, while earning a gross salary of 80K annually in Miami! Don't forget to come with your leased Lambo!☺My haircut in Tampa cost me $20 and I give $10 of tip, it is still half the price of Miami's haircut!
Great video! Julia, I’m curious where you get your nails done! I’m looking for some good nail salon recommendations in Miami 💅🏻
DA beauty bar in brickell or if you’re willing to go outside brickell I recommend Nailbox!
Thank you. Very informative
Glad it was helpful! 🫶
Sounds good. Maybe daytrading will get me here. :D Rent prices are actually not special, if you compare to other well known spots along the East coast. They are just a bit crazy everywhere these days.
If you’re solely banking on that Good Luck
I’m just wondering, does the downtown area itself bring you in money, or do you just like living downtown? I think you said you work from home, away from home, or travel, but if it costs $7-10k per month to live there, in an apartment or condo, and if all you or someone makes is that much hypothetically, is it worth it to live there instead of a neighborhood in Miami where cost of living may be cheaper. There are high crime areas in Miami, and you want to avoid those areas. If you have $0 at the end of the month, then is it worth it? Or would you suggest that you should spend around 30% of income for your living expenses? Do apartments or condos have this requirement to be able to lease there, like in NY some will say your annual income has to be 40x the monthly rent or something like that.
There are definitely cheaper areas to live outside of downtown, but they lack the energy, walkability, and convenience you get in Brickell. Being close to great restaurants, shopping, and networking opportunities is a big part of why people choose to live here. It’s all about what you value in your lifestyle. If those things are important to you, it might be worth the higher cost. But if you're looking to save, there are more affordable neighborhoods in Miami that might make more sense depending on your priorities.
Yes we do think you should make enough so you’re not left with $0 at the end of the month but how much you want to save will vary per person so we did not cover this in the video! Great point though 😊
Great review. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! Much more to come!
Good video. To live the lifestyle you have to be able to afford the lifestyle.
So true!
I enjoyed your presentation and honest reviews. Visiting in October. will be in Miami a few days and am excited to visit Brickell.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy your stay 😊
I understand the appeal of wanting a water view but why do some people want views of buildings? What’s attractive about that? 🤔 I was visiting a friend in a high rise one day and saw a guy in another building with binoculars looking into other units. 🧐🙄 There’s little privacy in them and you share so much living spaces
Hey Julia yamin here
Can you let me know about any chartered accountants jobs in miami

$15K pretax minimum
$30K/mo - level 1 comfort
$60K/mo - level 2 comfort
$150k/mo - you can do almost whatever whenever.
All numbers are monthly pretax.
Who dafuq is making $30k a month in Miami? Unless you’re a power couple, $60k a month is 3/4 a mil a year. Very, very few are making anywhere close to that
@@MaxTheDestroyer707 60k x 12 = 720k
Wtf
you guys are amazing, good to see you, definitely like
so, if we're talking let's say roughly 10k in Miami, what are the other Florida cities cost of living comparing to Miami? like Tampa, Fort Lauderdale etc.
idea for the next video right there 😅
Great idea! It depends on the area within those cities but overall will be cheaper 😊
For a single guy that is looking to date hot women, he would need to make $30,000 per month at least. For a single attractive woman, she would only need to make $6000 per month just to cover her rent n transportation because men will cover all her restaurant n entertainment cosf 😂
The women down here are special to say the least
You couldn’t be more wrong
Only a sucka or a simp would cover everything my boy..what tf I look like 🤣 🤣
a stupid comment- you do realize there are many men n women that value their dignity n honor and would rather work than leech of others!!?
I started watching thinking you were going to show me what a $2000 studio looked like versus a $5000 space. How would anyone know what they would be buying if you can’t see what they look like inside?
Julia how were you able to find remote job?
What I don't understand is why are you paying those prices for a condo or an apartment, you can live outside of the city and do a day trip, plus unless you make an insane amount of money you are going to live in a condo the rest of your life, not that is bad, but there is nothing like owning a house you call your own,
To each their own. In Brickell you're paying for location, convenience, energy, access to opportunities, etc. A house is great but not if the location isn't ideal.
Aston Martin condo is downtown Miami
Hard to advance financially when your monthly expenses are that high. But I’m sure is fun.
Enjoy you guys videos
Thanks! Appreciate the support :)
I liked and subscribed
2 bedroom STARTING AT 2500 equates to 30,000 a year (that im sure doesn't account for utilities and MISC cost) . the USA average income is about $38 - 40K.
The reality is that only the upper middle class can remotely dream to live in miami confortably which is the top 30% of US population (and this calculation is only taking into account the starting price of 2500 for rent, which after utilities looks more like 3100). so realistically its not remotely affordable for the average american which accounts for about 70% of the population.
Hey Devin and Julia,
I just got done watching your live remotely in Miami video. With that being said me and my wife enjoy creating similar content and are planning to move to Miami in the next 3-4 years once her youngest has graduated from high school. I have been preparing for this transition for a while now and my biggest obstacle will be done in the next 2 months, obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing.
We are planning to make trips down over the next few years to start getting familiar with the city and the neighborhoods, we will also be looking for other creators who are similar to our own content to make friends with. I look forward to seeing more of your content and the growth that fuels it.
Thank You,
Eddy and Rebecca

Not sure but if it’s a new building it will not be on the lower end of the range!
What a waste- throwing away big money in rent just to be in Miami- my idea of nothing to do.
Too expensive for Miami. I live in Hells Kitchen 51/8. Nice one bedroom apartment. Nice size bedroom. Big living room. I pay $2,750.00 monthly. Not bad for the size o my apartment. Great area btw
If yours a man, at least $30,000 a month. If you’re a woman (young, beautiful woman) $3,000 a month. Both will live the same lifestyle and do the same things except one won’t be paying for anything 😂
What’s the Virginia Square Tower equivalent of Brickell?
You mean $10k after taxes.
No way your living in south Miami $100k yr before taxes. Your basically a slave to services.
If anyone is young enough to leave south florida, they should.
So bars make their cost back for a bottle on selling one drink for $30. a 5th of vodka or tequila is usually $20-$40. What a hustle.
Crazy right

10k is cheap month lol and they're making $120,000 of off your hard working money and you will never own anything 😅
I would seriously take a look at it,
Brickell is extremely overrated. Its only walkable for like one street and that's it. Everywhere else its some dark street with 10 story parking garages or its under the metromover concrete pathway, overall horrible architecture and zero street presence. And just wait until they redevelop Mary Brickell Village. Then it will be truly a sad place to live.
Agree 100
U r so right , Why turning beautiful Miami into a New York concrete jungle.Greed is destroying this gorgeous city, Brickell development should have stopped in 2000. Now it looks horrible,we barely can witness the sun while walking through these horrible condos.
