You just stick it over the light with some gaffers tape leaving a bit of a gap. The Profoto D2's have a flat surface so you can mount the gel over it, it's not exactly touching an exposed bulb.
I just played with shutter drag on a shoot last week, with a prime though (and moving my camera or having the model move) but I hadn't thought to try with a zoom lens! I'll have to try that next time

Start with one and build to three! You should check out my class lindsayadler.photo/msl. I recommend what gear to start with, modifiers, and take you through everything you need to know!
All I kept thinking throughout most of this video was , how is she keeping the tether cable in. I have to duct tape mine even with their goofy cable lock thing.
Absolutely stunning

I absolutely adore your dedication and work. May I ask how wide is your background size ?
9ft!
So what was the settings of the camera please .? Cause with so low shutter you have to increase f right .? To Lille the ambient light .? Thanks
1/10 sec Iso 400 F8 Is usually where I start with something like this.
I would love to see how you mounted the gel to the strobe. There are zero tutorials that are actually good that teach that.

Are the profoto modeling lights flash balanced, or does the gel tend to take care of color differences
the shutter drag is with flash or continous light or a combination?
combination
wow..
How many lights would you recommend getting as someone just starting out with studio photography? :)
