Myself and my mate used to sit in his room every week on our days off after this came out. Set up an amp, had a piano. And depending on the song from Plans, he’d play bass, acoustic, lead guitar or piano, I’d sing. We’d cover Soul Meets Body, Summer Skin, Your heart is an empty room, Crooked Teeth, Brothers on a hotel bed. We’d just get lost playing those songs. Absolutely stunning album. Still get that same stillness from listening to it
I don't know if anyone will see this but this album means the world to me. It completely changed my life and how I see it. I hate that I discovered it so late around 2019. I was too young to have been there for the release in 2005. I am currently 21(2023), but I just want to thank Ben, Chris, Nick and Jason for saving my life. After high school graduation I was extremely low and depressed, I didn't know what I wanted to do in life and I felt lost and unhappy. This band absolutely filled the void and changed me forever, they gave me a reason to keep living and trying my hardest in life. I will never forget the dark eras in my life but I'm absolutely thankful for this group of people that pulled me away into the light. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them. My all time favorite band and album❤
