you guys are up in the comments spitting truth as usual. the bravery it takes to defend a repeat offender, in front of the same judge lmao.
and he never comes back like, "your honor, i don't know what to tell you. i tried." you can tell he never goes back and tells her how to get away with it, or "you suck, i did my best with you." he scolds her back there, comes out, and says something honest and sympathetic to the judge.

This attorney is excellent! He's definitely worth his weight in gold with how humbly and respectfully he addressed the court on Julie's behalf. This young woman desperately needs help. She lost a great long term job at the University of Michigan, lost her children for the foreseeable future, has CPS involvement and is now involved with the judicial system. In a way, this could be a blessing in disguise because she will now *have* to deal with the emotional issues that she hasn't in the past. Her demeanor is different today.. and that's a good place to start.

So, what you’re saying is that she had sought “counseling” for her habitual lying in order to dodge the consequences of her actions. That’s NOT a mental health issue - it’s an entitlement, discipline, and lack of accountability issue.

I know Judge Simpson does not like to put people in jail. With all the drama and violations she's done, I would have left her in jail. That attorney has a very bright future. If he decides to go into private practice, he will be successful. Most PD 's don't fight that hard for their client. How many of you think she won't mess up this time

She’s completely emotionless. Huge red flag. Unfortunately I believe she’ll be back for a violation…. Sooner than later!

Despite that he gave her that LAST CHANCE,he should have just LOCKED HER ASS UP!!! She obviously has NO regard for the court or anything else!!! It's all about doing what she wants when she wants!!! I understand the judge's hesitation COMPLETELY!!! He knows somewhere along the way, she will mess up again, but he's hoping for the best and expecting the worst!!!

I feel bad for the defence attorney, he is good but it's not easy to block the sun with a finger and Judge Simpson knows that. Hi from Sweden 💛💙

I wonder if she deserves an attorney this talented. Obviously, everyone deserves good representation, it's what makes our system work, but this defendant strikes me as someone who is going to continue to be dishonest and misleading.

Judge would give this a big no if it was a man instead of a young woman.

So now her lawyer tells the court that she has been in therapy because she has trouble expressing herself? What does that have to do with her constantly breaking bond conditions & lying??

This poor defense attorney has so little to work with that this case will age him by 10 years.
