Thanks for the great info. One safety note is when using 6 pt race harnesses you need to use Simpson hybrid or HANS devices from breaking your neck during a crash.
AP Racing brake fluid has a higher boiling point and Girodisc rotors with their race pads took my NSX to another level. Learned about them at the Watkins Glen PCA event where most GT3s were runnung wuthout any issues for days. I've tried Willwood & Stoptech, but the Girodiscs were the best
Loop some electrical tape on the sides of the Garmin Mount. This will provide a little more grip/thicknesswhen you push it in to place on the dash.. A buddy of mine had that same issue on the track with this thing falling out on him in the middle of a session. This solved it for good. Nice video.
Not sure if I am just not seeing it, but is there a link to a spreadsheet with the alignment settings that you found to work best? Thanks for a very informative video!
Great technical talk guys. I like the mods. My Soul Over the axle is coming on Wednesday. Eager to see if I can get the alleged 30 wheel go gain. I went with Ferrodos and I love them
Great video. Watched it twice now. 4RS arrives in a month, so getting parts coming. Did y’all have to slit the bottom cushions to fit the sub belt through, or are they ready slotted? Passenger side buckets carbon has to be cut out also, correct?
Have you guys had any rubbing on the fender liners with the hoosiers? I too wanted to stay with 20's and Apex told me a 265 would be too tall for the front AND rear. I find this hard to believe if you guys are both running the same set up. They offer a +52 20x9 front, so just a couple mm inwards from stock. The +61 is pretty incredible.
Super helpful! My burning question…..how did all these mods combined (suspension, OAP, brakes) impact your lap times? Significant? Also, my friend and I both stick the catalyst suction cup right on the PCM screen and have had no damage or residual marks…..
We started with these settings so I don't have a stock baseline. With a pro driver in the car, mid way through our setup process, the car did a 2:19 at COTA. I'm guessing he could get a 2:17 with our current setup but that will have to wait for cooler temps in Texas. I will also say that we could easily pass the other GT4 RS's in our run group with these settings. Interesting comment on the Catalyst suction cup working on the PCM screen. Never would have thought of that.
What is your experience driving on track with 265 in the front compared to 245? Some people have stability issues and go back to the original! BTW what offset do you have on your wheels? @@ignitionontheleft
Thank you guys, it was a great discussion. thank you for all the info. I don't know if you guys did the rotors with pads or just pads but i highly recommend girodisc or Ap rotors because you will possibly notice little cracks on the oem rotors with ferodo pads after three or four track days. Did the OAP change the sound inside the cabin noise or just outside?
Yes Girodisc will be the replacement rotors for us but I wanted to burn through the factory iron rotors first. Thanks for the heads up on the cracks, I'll be watching for these now.
61 mm?? are you sure? because the oem front 20x8.5 is 61 mm. if you go to 20x9 , 61mm won't fit with -3 camber. it's okay i will confirm with finspeed guy@@ItsTrackTime
you can roll the fenders slightly to run 305's. easier than messing with the suspension, especially it costs a lot less. a baseball bat and an experienced hand...
As much as I'm thankful Porsche put the gt3 engine in a cayman the facts are the GT4RS will never be near as fast as a GT3 due to it's smaller wheelbase....
@@ignitionontheleft the gt4rs cannot carry the same cornering speed as the gt3 in the mid to high speed corners as the gt3 primarily due to the smaller chassis size and difference in suspension geometry
The GT4RS has a longer wheelbase than a 992GT3. Primary cornering difference will be down to tyre width. The 911 can accommodate wider tyres - secondly the suspension layout, struts Vs Wishbone.

That's way cool! Really appreciate the graphics and info too!

Great to hear the video help!
Check out our Soul exhaust video for the dyno plots.

Good vid bro!

Driver seat has a slit already open for the sub-belt.
Passenger seat needs to be cut but the factory sewed it in such a way that this is an easy mod.
@@barryminor2 thank you. Been trying to find this answer everywhere!
Hi, thanks for the video. what is the the car hight front and back. TY
1,267 mm

We had to install front camber plates and that allowed the 265 clearance
@@ignitionontheleft Thats what I figured. Thanks!

@@barryminor2 thanks for sharing and thanks for the comprehensive setup video!
Hello, please give your recommendation about wheel offset for running 265 in front and 305 in back, many thanks 🙏
Thats what I'm running in hoosiers and have had positive results. 295's in the rears felt like the tail wanted to come around. 305's solved that.

Over axle pipes only changed the sound outside.
I didn't notice any change in volume inside or added drone.
Thanks for the info. Do you know what offset the wheels were to fit 265s at the front?
Front = 61mm
Rear = 50mm
