Imagine a remaster or remake of this game
You can say that this is actually a remaster those games are upscaled I think
I would prefer a game the covers the first three films. This one doesn't even try to follow the structure of the films. Considering the fact that Toy Story 2 was originally planned as a straight to video release, it seems pretty unlikely that they would have planned for a game tie in. I would bet that this was merely supposed to be a Buzz Lightyear game and they just changed it to Toy Story 2 for market synergy with the movie.

so much nostalgia loved this game and it isn't actually that bad even with replaying it a few years ago also the goddamm music is so good one of my favourite video game soundtracks

I remember this game quite vividly. I had it on PS1. It was genuinely a blast. I spent countless hours as a child trying to beat the initial levels, but I didn't have a PS1 memory card so I started from scratch every time and never had the chance to sit long enough and finish it.
my ps1 always said no memory card in slot 1 and it doesn't save on the ps2 either, 🙂

Somehow this looks like it has held up pretty well. The platforming looks fun and the graphics are quite serviceable.
I think the style lends to it. But the level design and gameplay seems pretty good.

Me too. As a kid I didn't know how to beat the robot, I always tried to shoot him while it was moving and never guessed that you had to wait until it stopped moving. xD

I remember playing this as a kid on the Dreamcast!! Made it all the way to the construction site but had to go to bed lmao!! Didn’t have a safe cartridge so I had to restart. Fun times!! Happy to see this game again!!

watching this video i remember exactly everything. how to complete the levels, the maps, all of it. this game was a huge core memory for me growing up. i played this on the N64

This game has aged very well. The only things are the clunky first person aiming and the lack of camera control. I don't know if it was altered in some way for PS Plus, but the frame rate seems very smooth.
The boss fights sucks ass but the level design is top tier.
I feel so nostalgic, this is pretty much my childhood, played it for years on PC and the fact that it was launched in 1999 (the year I was born) makes it extra special for me :D

This is literally the first action platformer I ever played! My first ever video game was Toy Story Racer... As you can tell I loved Toy Story Lol. Also, the FPS on cutscenes was higher on the original hardware, idk why it's lower on the remaster here.

Really enjoyed watching i remember playing this as a kid i was 8 when i last played this it was one of my favourites watching this reminded me of playing others like abes odyssey small soldiers and rugrats wish they would bring some of the ps1 classics back.
Nostalgia is such a strong feeling but nothing compares too that feeling I used too get playing in one of my favourite animated film series of all time the first time around.

It's actually possible to manually control the camera in TS2. You just need to go to pause menu and select "passive camera".

Super Mario 64 had massive open world levels and multiple enemies and that came out in 1996, games have had open world abilities for so long now it's impressive.
