Mike really suppressed his emotions when playing the piano because he missed being side by side with Chester singing on stage as part of Linkin Park, and I also really missed Chester because I really liked Chester.

Chester, wherever you are, you made us feel so much with your music and life. Because of you and linkin park none of us will ever feel numb when we hear this melody and when this song play.
I'm not even an avid fan of Linkin Park but I've heard a few of their songs (Numb, New Divide, What I've Done). I had this video in my recommendations and thought I'd given it a watch. As a man who doesn't really cry much, I was astounded at how - within the first 20 seconds of the crowd singing - I was already on the verge of tears. And once the chorus hit, I was almost in tears. I don't know whether it's the knowledge that it's in memory of Chester, or the sheer beauty of the crowd singing, but I think this is one of the only videos/songs to ever make me feel the emotions I felt, in such a short space of time. Whoever is behind this channel, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for putting this wonderful video on UA-cam.
i cant imagine a greater feeling as an artist. the sense of accomplishment you have to feel when all you need is some simple notes on a keyboard and thousands of people will just perform your song for you...
We heard Chester's voice as beautiful art that moved us for decades when it was a cry of pain and the desperate desire of meaning. He gave meaning to us at the expense of finding his own.

We all sang with him
That song still breaks me down when it, never a dry eye when it comes on! Rip Chester!
Chester, wherever you are, you made us feel so much with your music and life. Because of you and linkin park none of us will ever feel numb when we hear this melody and when this song play.
Chesters legacy is timeless.. my children (who aren't born yet) will know these lyrics
best song ever and this is just sad becuase i am reminded of him
Man this really brought the tears out of me.
RIP Chester, if only you where still here. Miss you bro. X
i cant imagine a greater feeling as an artist. the sense of accomplishment you have to feel when all you need is some simple notes on a keyboard and thousands of people will just perform your song for you...
If only we all know then how Mike Shinoda will carry their legacy long after their gone... Thank you Mike Shinoda
We heard Chester's voice as beautiful art that moved us for decades when it was a cry of pain and the desperate desire of meaning. He gave meaning to us at the expense of finding his own.
Man being there was such a positive expierience for me, Linkin park was always one of my favourite band and the concert really gave me some closure. I hope Mike keeps on making music, Linkin Park or solo!
He's in so much pain man. Years later and this still hits us all hard.
*Eventhought the crowd was so extremely awesome BUT when I watched Mike Shinoda's face, all the amazing crowd, Chester's family & all loyalty, talented & superb Linkin Pak's team. I wonder how could Chester left all of them behinds & just thinking of himself just like that.*
back in 2018 i was in a really dark place. i knew i had people that loved me and cared about me family and friends, i am privilaged for that but i also felt like a massive weight for everyone and
but i still had so much pain and rage and guilt that i never shared, and i well while i never attempted it, a couple of times i would go out at 3 oclock in the morning looking for trouble, expecting the worse. i thankfully got out of that dark place.
point is, we don't what a man that is suffering holds inside, its not hard to pretend that everything is ok, i did it a lot. and sometimes they don't see a way out but that one. he was selfish to do it sure, but also we are selfish for wanting him back
You could feel the emotion in the concert, Mike really misses his best friend/brother, I feel so bad for him man. No one should go through this type of pain.😭😭😭😭
Hugs for Mike, love you man❤️
If you can never hear Chester sing this live with you again the next best thing is having your fans sing it back to you.
Yes... I'm weak...but I'm crying...
This was so good and so emotional. I am glad that I experienced it ❤️
The look on his face when he realizes the crowd knows not only the lyrics, but all the subtle nuances and inflections....
