They've been family, friends, leaders, and role models. Many have taught me what i need to know and what to do when time get rough. They've helped me move on. They've pushed me out of bed. They've helped me live when nobody else does. They've pushed me out from my darkness, anger, and pain. Artists have inspired me in endless ways and have been with me through stages in my lives. If you hear Chester sing Numb so effortlessly, like really singing it, everything about Emily sounds so forced, as if she is grunting in an attempt to deliver & impress. I don’t like this new sound of Linkin Park, but I wish them well with their new music, yet hope they can let the old be.
Linkin Park was my teenage years, and Chester was like an elder brother to me. When he passed away, I felt like I lost someone very close. If you constantly listened to their songs, and also grew up on them, you understand what I mean. No matter how old I am, I will always remember this band. These guys have a special place in my heart.

I think it's just hard to be in this world having so much soul, and he is and will forever be one of the most passionate vocalists of all time after he put his entire self in music...

@Kiflin Chester suffered a lot in his last years: the death of Chris Cornell, his best friend, a bad reception of One More Light album from "fans", his voice getting less durable, and a painful injury in 2014 or 2015 (on a tour so he might also had guilt over letting fans miss shows). Maybe he just thought everything was screwed up and just went to rest.

They helped put music back into my life and allowed me to make the best of my newest song "Leaking" on here which is dedicated to Chester and Cornell(lyric video). I was there in the crowd, still remembering like it was yesterday. With my cousins we were singing and screaming the whole night. Lost my voice the next day. And it was the best concert I've been. How I wished I could relive that special night again and again. Now we can only do with these videos. Thank you for the memories
I had the honor of actually being in the crowd in this video to see this live! At the time I loved it but I keep cherishing this more and more every day... The fact that I got to see Chester live truly means the world to me and after shedding a few tears watching this i'm again more grateful for this experience. Linkin Park built my childhood, thank you Chester and the boys for giving us so much! (And eternal thanks to my dad for managing to secure tickets in the nosebleeds because he knew it meant so much to me!)

Honestly, I have listened to this 10 times. I teared up every single time. Happy tears for me personally. The new single is great. Love that they started with Mike and had Emily come in about a minute later. Nobody can "replace" Chester, but they have a solid start to a new beginning. Can't wait for more.

Linkin Park has been my favorite Band since i was five years old, im 26 now and they are still my favorite Band. my greatest regret is not being able to see a live show when Chester R.I.P was still around, the closest i got was for my birthday my brother got my tickets to the Edmonton show that got canceled due to an injury. They've been my favorite band for as long as a I can remember. They were a major part of me and who I was, and i was in so much pain and even had a mental breakdown in the middle of class a few years ago,, when so much in my life had gone wrong all at once. This will probably not be read by anyone, but I have to write this from the bottom of my heart. I had a horrible childhood. I was always afraid of being beaten by my dad, of being yelled at. I literally was afraid that he was going to kill me. I was afraid of being bullied by my classmates. I felt ugly, I felt like being in the wrong place. Linkin Park was the first band I listened to. I‘m german and didn‘t speak english at that time, so I didn‘t understand the lyrics. But I felt the emotions of the songs and listened to many of them a few hundred if not thousand times. They helped me survive. Literally. And I‘m sure I‘m not the only one. I am now 33. Married to a woman with a beautiful soul. Successful. In May my son was born❤️ I could not be happier. I literally owe this to Chester. My son would not have never been born without him. I still can‘t grasp that he is away. He was more family than my own family at that time. Sometimes I still cry seeing videos of him. Thank you.

Numb was the last track on Meteora I remember as a teen just laying down and listening to the full album on my CD player trying to find peace in the middle of the storm and trying to find my true feelings beneath it all . I will always miss Chester

It's really sad to see someone take their own life because they're depressed and think that no one loves or cares about them, but we could only hope and dream to have the thousands or millions of people love us as they did him.
I cry every time I see a Linkin Park live performance. I'm 14 now and they were the first alternative band I got into when I was 11 as well as my gateway into heavier music. Their music helped me through so much, including my dad passing away. I picked one more light to be played at his funeral. That's how much they mean to me. It pains me knowing I'll never be able to see them live. R.I.P Chester. I'll never forget you, and I'll be sure to pass Linkin Park on to my kids.

I got a Linkin Park postcard on my shelf, it's been in my room for 20 years. My dad bought me their album as my first CD. Chester was amazing but wow she is so much more gravelly and her pain feels deep. Her clean tones are great but her gravelly parts are just hit the soul differently. I think Chester would be proud to see her there his memory and the band alive.

I was there in the crowd, still remembering like it was yesterday. With my cousins we were singing and screaming the whole night. Lost my voice the next day. And it was the best concert I've been. I had the honor of actually being in the crowd in this video to see this live! At the time I loved it but I keep cherishing this more and more every day... The fact that I got to see Chester live truly means the world to me and after shedding a few tears watching this i'm again more grateful for this experience. Linkin Park built my childhood, thank you Chester and the boys for giving us so much! (And eternal thanks to my dad for managing to secure tickets in the nosebleeds because he knew it meant so much to me!)

Honestly, I have listened to this 10 times. I teared up every single time. Happy tears for me personally. The new single is great. Love that they started with Mike and had Emily come in about a minute later. Nobody can "replace" Chester, but they have a solid start to a new beginning. Can't wait for more.

Linkin Park has been my favorite Band since i was five years old, im 26 now and they are still my favorite Band. my greatest regret is not being able to see a live show when Chester R.I.P was still around, the closest i got was for my birthday my brother got my tickets to the Edmonton show that got canceled due to an injury. They've been my favorite band for as long as a I can remember. They were a major part of me and who I was, and i was in so much pain and even had a mental breakdown in the middle of class a few years ago,, when so much in my life had gone wrong all at once. I had to leave the class and I skipped lunch.. I wish Chester could've gotten the help he needed. He helped so many others. I can't express how much I care about him.

I'm still a teenager, and I've literally loved Linkin Park and been exposed to their music since I was very, very young. When I heard the news that Chester has passed, it broke me. I realized that I would never get a chance to see Linkin Park live; performances like these help me transport myself there, just a bit.

This will probably not be read by anyone, but I have to write this from the bottom of my heart.
I had a horrible childhood. I was always afraid of being beaten by my dad, of being yelled at. I literally was afraid that he was going to kill me. I was afraid of being bullied by my classmates. I felt ugly, I felt like being in the wrong place. Linkin Park was the first band I listened to. I‘m german and didn‘t speak english at that time, so I didn‘t understand the lyrics. But I felt the emotions of the songs and listened to many of them a few hundred if not thousand times. They helped me survive. Literally. And I‘m sure I‘m not the only one.
I am now 33. Married to a woman with a beautiful soul. Successful. In May my son was born❤️ I could not be happier.
I literally owe this to Chester. My son would not have never been born without him.
I still can‘t grasp that he is away. He was more family than my own family at that time. Sometimes I still cry seeing videos of him.

Yeah, Chester got to the point of having to respond on Twitter and eventually said he didn’t care what people thought about One More Light. Sure probably didn’t help someone with underlying mental problem. Words hurt. If you don’t like the music, genre, band member, or direction of evolution, don’t support and move on. They work hard for bringing wonderful music to us and seriously took 7 years to search a singer that fix the group chemistry. Spread your love for LP to Emily.

Chester lives on forever through these captured moments so everyone can experience in some way the magic of listening to your favourite bands or artist live without auto tune or any of that. He was an awesome singer and group performer and he is truly missed by us all. It's really sad to see someone take their own life because they're depressed and think that no one loves or cares about them, but we could only hope and dream to have the thousands or millions of people love us as they did him.

I cry every time I see a Linkin Park live performance. I'm 14 now and they were the first alternative band I got into when I was 11 as well as my gateway into heavier music. Their music helped me through so much, including my dad passing away. I picked one more light to be played at his funeral. That's how much they mean to me. It pains me knowing I'll never be able to see them live. R.I.P Chester. I'll never forget you, and I'll be sure to pass Linkin Park on to my kids.
I feel u bro, I'm 26 now and since I saw their music video (In The End or One Step Closer) on MTV around 2001/2002 I'm a fan ever since... I got a Linkin Park postcard on my shelf, it's been in my room for 20 years. My dad bought me their album as my first CD. Chester has been a very important concept to me, I read my first books listening to their music at 9PM. Man, these memories are soo cool! I tried to get to their show 3 times. Each time I thought 'chill I got my whole life to see them...' - I was WRONG.
Their music helped me get through my mother's death so I feel we can relate. Their music helped me get through Chester's death, it's amazing.
If I can say one thing for anyone reading this - do not hesitate, don't postpone your dreams and goals, make cash for the shows, paints, guitars... Text the girl/boy you crush on, don't be shy - you NEVER know how much time you got left.

Очень жаль, что им никто не смог помочь. Поддержать и протянуть руку помощи, когда они в ней нуждались как никогда.
