I remember back in the 90s a lot of fox bodies wore the same thing and they were slow. Lots of people put knock off welds on and think they are racecar. This isn’t Volvo level sleeper but it is “stock” mustang sleeper.
Its like the itsjusta6 channel. No matter the car, or the engine its a “1500hp built race engine” yet never dynos anything and the fastest time slip is like a 10sec pass.

The coolest part of that gray sleeper stang is how they ran the cold side intake pipe through the stock air box. That right there is what really gives it a stock look. Besides that low ass oil tank that is one of best kits I’ve seen

Twin turbo badges don't equate to 1400 whp. Twin turbos don't equate to 1400 whp. That's the sleeper part. People see that and think 700 maybe 800 horsepower, not 1400.

Will and crew installed the same Hellion kit on our 2015 and it ran PERFECT on the dyno and made over 940 hp at the wheels. Super knowledgeable team and friendly as well.
Honestly they did an amazing job on keeping the engine bay and body and interior mostly stock looking. So clean under the hood, most people would not notice anything. People who race and/or have knowledge of racing and cars would obviously see the things everyone else doesn't. The tires are a giveaway, and certain parts under the hood on a small scale being different but they did great job with the "factory" look. Exhaust isn't crazy either. So what if it has badges or race tires, I think they accomplished their plan.
A friend of mine has a very similar set up ( 2019 GT ) - 1200+ to the wheels . Started to have issues with the trans - fixed that - now cant pass emissions - gonna need another tune to pass here in NY . Great to have all that HP , but if you have to keep screwing with it ..... Another friend has a setup with 900+ to the wheels - no issues . Sometimes , and I guess depending on where you live - a little less is just as good . You're never gonna beat everybody , although at 1400 on the street - you're probably pretty close !
Rare Fab is pumping out some very quality sleeper builds and I love how he try's to focus on quality and caution his customers from aiming to high on the horsepower with an engine block that can handle so much without running into internals getting damaged.
The Royal Crowned Tiger - the Race wheels and drag radials are an instant giveaway. Still don’t understand why you would go to all the trouble (and cost) to hide the turbos and then put stick on twin turbo badges.

So for a price breakdown. -2015-17 Mustang GT ~$26k -Hellion Turbo Kit and other parts ~$10k So for ~$36k you can have a Mustang that will look, feel and sound like a totally stock GT even if you open the hood, and probably run deep in the 9's. Unbelievable.

I don't understand people dogging RareFab for using Hellion Turbos, and calling it a RareFab kit. It's very simple really, they bought a bunch of parts from different manufacturers, then they spent many many hours fabricating an amazing custom kit, and then appropriately called it their own! As a former fabricator and racecar builder myself, I can appreciate the time commitment and attention to detail required to produce such a quality product! 👌

realability wise with so much heat right next to the gearbox id be wanting some shielding along with turbo beanies to help with thermal management and the oil for the gearbox
These cars just make power. Stock and specially with a built motor. The most I've seen on just pumped 93 with nothing else. No meth, No E85, No octane booster, etc was 1342rwhp, manual trans, with 64mm precisions on an off the shelf Hellions kit. So I'm not surprised at all. Let's be real though. It's 2020 and it's a nice clean kit and or build depending on how you look at it but it's not fooling anyone that matters. Meaning anyone with a little bit of racing experience. If you don't know what your looking at or hearing. You deserve to leave the race with empty pockets afterwards lol. Again really nice builds.

My friend had a very similar build he had a built 5.0 coyote aluminator with 2 precision turbos, turbo smart boost controller and waste gates that mustang got real rowdy👍

Ots a great looking turbo kits, being that the turbos are low and close to road, getting wet when it rains have there been any problems with cracks in housing?
The kit itself depends on who your buying from my own research can be anywhere from 7 to 12k which by the way is more than a brand new gen 3 engine. I thought about it for a while but cannot bring myself to put that much money inches from the road. All it takes is road debris that you've missed on the highway and that's gonna hurt your pocket that much more.
So the factory resonators are removed? In other words no resonators correct? From my understanding the removal of resonators does give a little more HP because resonators themselves do cause some restriction. Back pressure is something more necessary on older cars I believe. I straight piped the section of my '05 RSX Type-S in place of the resonator on my Greddy catback exhaust. I believe it improved horsepower and fuel economy although not that significant. I agree with another poster that your Mustang is a sleeper with the exception of the "Twin Turbo" badging next to the 5.0 badge on each side. LOL
I'm sorry, I'm confused; at 7:17 he says they "ran into valve float" around 700 whp, but the exhaust fixed the issue and made an extra 100 whp? I fully understand how valve float limits power, and how a good exhaust can make more power, but how does an exhaust fix valve float? I'm assuming I misheard that...
Exhaust restriction can cause valve float on a turbo car. Spring upgrade and reduce restriction are the primary corrections. It comes down to backpressure preventing them from doing their job
A Sleeper that has twin turbo badges and a Weld RT drag pack and radials??..!? That's kinda the opposite in my opinion.

If they want to go for the sleeper look they should take off the 5.0 twin turbo badge to add more sleeper points
Run stock skinny tires, install AWD system.
Put EcoBoost badge on and v6 decals.
