  • See how to install a turbo kit on a YXZ1000R in this video from Partzilla.com!
We’ve been working on our YXZ1000 engine rebuild project for a while. But instead of building this one back stock, we’re adding a turbo. Now, this means we’ve done a lot of work to pave the way for the GYTR turbo kit installation on this YXZ1000. We’ve changed the gears, the compression, and a bunch of other stuff along the way.
You can go back the beginning and watch our playlist here: • YXZ1000R Engine Build
In this video though, we’re finally bolting in the turbo. John will walk you through the process here step-by-step. We’ll start by getting some of the cooling system in place and then switch gears and work with the turbo unit. The GYTR turbo we’ve chosen comes with everything, and we’ll install the turbo and manifold first. We’re also installing new fuel injectors, but we need to route a bunch of hoses and wires to get there.
We’ll also get our airbox in, our oil tank, and add some fluids.

You make it look way to easy, lol With the car together that’s a way harder , longer job? I’m in MI and we have a short season. This year we hardly had a winter really odd. I think I wanna at least get it bought. And knowing about the new injector o rings. And tips you gave already makes it feel more confident to do. lol I did a legend Air suspension on a Older HD low rider about 10 years ago. And just reading the instructions it worked but if they had videos like yours it gives you that boost of help and you answer everything that could come up. Have a great day and thanks

Wow you make it look like changing oil lol. I want one but don’t wanna take the car apart lol to make it easier I’m In michigan and we have a short season. Great winter project. The hose that needed to be replaced, was that maybe the hose you cut earlier? Or was it def the wrong size? You are amazing, what’s the turbo cost?

I second guessed myself on that one too. The one I cut was a 90 degree. The one that was too short was 135 degrees.
