- Hey guys and welcome new viewers. Todays adventure is going to take us to Snowshoe Mountain Bike Park. This is going to be my second trip to this park so i got a few features in mind like the Cupcake Drop and ProGRT Road Gap. St.Mathews Cycling in Louisville, KY reached out and I was more than happy to except the invitation to shred.
Pedal a littler, Don't Touch the Brakes it's Adventure time.

@@JoshSmith968 Thanks Josh! You gonna be up there for the for the Downhill Southeast race at the end of the month?
headsnap I’m hoping so. Depends on if i go to salt lake for the national the weekend before or not
god season
So underrated you need to get more recognition keep up the good work
Thanks man. Tell a friend and share the video. The more people I reach the better. And thanks for commenting brother
Nice send my friend 👌
Thanks man.
Okay, okay, beside strapping on my parachute for that "Base Jump" with a mtb bike LOL what kind of set up do you run your suspension for those hit, more pressure? less rebound?
-Sam
Rebound is in the middle. I run one volume reducer and half my body weight and 50 over my weight in the rear. Stiff set up
have u done the pink bike drop at highland
Not yet. But I want to check it out.
Fuck yeah! Saint Matthew's Cycling representing! Great job Keith, you guys need to do some riding here in town!
if i ever make it back up there
Congratulations on hitting the cupcake drop!
Thanks man. Just the progrt gap left.
This weekend I raced at gncc on the mountain and flipped frontwards on a water break
Caden Johnson11 sorry to hear that brother.
Sending that cupcake road gap like it's nothing! Respect dude! 🤘🥝🤘
Progression Train!!!!
Great video Steady Spin. It was cool to meet ya a month or so back at Chewacla.

@@SteadySpin is there a way to communicate via patreon that does not cost money?
Live in wv! Have a cabin about 20 minutes from snowshoe. Will be there this weekend GNCC racing!
What gear are you going up with ?
@@SteadySpin lots of goggles and water. Weather is looking nasty!
If u don’t like slow tech make it fast tech 😂🤘
That’s always my first choice. lol
Mate you're slowly sounding more and more like Tippie from PinkBike
philo0 your totally right
Who is going for the dhse and World Cup?
Me to both!!!!
How do you afford to do all the traveling you do?
I’m in sales with no kid and no wife. Travel is pretty cheap solo
Getcha a cupcake! Awesome dude!
Now next time I want the big cake
I know showshoe as a ski park, never been mountain biking there but I really want to.
By far its magical every time I go. Highly recommend out of any park I have been to so far.
@@SteadySpin maybe I can convince people to go with me. Is that road gap the one under the western express that you see as you go up?
Nice drop man!
The is brother
you should ride at hobbs state park in arkansas. Super fun!
Next time I’m up there.
What’s the big deal about mentioning the braking on and off the levers?
The full commit to hitting features for me is not having my hands on the levers. Locks in that I’m going for it and no turning back.
Steady Spin copy that 👍 a mental preparedness type thing! You crushed it on this video man. 👊👊
I just saw this video is this by Pittsburgh. I used to race at snow shoe back in the day
It’s an amazing place
Steady Spin yes it is man I did like 10 races there I came in 8 7 5 6 10 9 and like 7 and 10 place in races.
Just saw Seth's video on this guy, must check that out!
Senpai nolastname thanks brother. I’m gonna owe him a few beers for sure.
@@SteadySpin your progression and videos (plus my friend) got me out there and learning the gimbal lol might be over the hill but that just means the climbing is over lol
sick sending on the cap cake
Thanks brother
Bail out is one of my favorite enduro stages up there!! You should come back up in September and run the enduro
Maybe
It’s a good time man. I was up there but I didn’t see you any
Dude! You were OWNING the Cup Cake Drop :-) Awesome!
Trail speed was perfect
Meet me there for the 4848 festival in July?
What about worlds or DHSE ?
@@SteadySpin I'll be there for worlds as well, but heads up the entire bike park is closed to the public that week. Closed Sept 3-9.
Race day? You going XC? LOL. What tire was that you were saying was working well in the corners? Love the video. Getting better at that pretty voice of yours. 😘

The medics gap
Easy gap unless you hit the brakes
Your so good now man, I need to get a bike like yours so I can further inprove
It’s all about risking the fall brother. Just send it bud
@@SteadySpin thanks man, one day I wish I'll be a s good a s you, I ride a self built hard tail that limits the type of trails I can do but now I'm $80 into saving up for a full sis, your recent vid with seth shows me that it is possible to do great things on a tight budget 🤙
Nice edit kev!
Thanks brother
Cool video!
Thanks brother
nice video Kevin '
Thanks brother
Great video! Congrats on completing the cupcake drop. Also the starting trails look really comparable to raccoon mountain (Chattanooga). Maybe you and Bobo can come to Chattanooga sometime!
Pretty close
Makin' that cupcake look easy! You heading up in September for the UCI race?
i did make it out there but had a busted knee
sketchy rock garden LOL...come ride NJ
sweet vid too
Jason hope to make my way up there by end of season
Wow, another great video and an awesome job hitting that Cupcake drop. I would probably freeze up and ride around that but I’d love to be able to do that!
Just keep pushing the small features and work your way up.
Looks awesome. You made that cupcake look tangible haha
Just don’t hit the brakes
Love the calm voice overs! I love how you explained how the cupcake drop was built for just trailspeed with no brakes for sending it!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great vid champ. I'm still working towards my first big drop.
Can't wait until summer as my mates and I have got a Thredbo trip in the planning
Awesome plan
Now you’re ready for the UCI race at the end of the season.......dude on the 4 wheeler not so much
Lol. Ya he got jammed up for sure
Man that is a sick drop 🤘🤘🤘🤘. The first time you did it seemed like you were in the air forever 😯. Great video man 👍👍
Thanks brother.
When I hear cupcake my mouth waters, when I see that cupcake my @$$ puckers lol, great vid man
First time I was all no no no and then this time I had dessert date.
like the tips just before hitting the cupcake drop!
For sure brother.
hey! where did you start the pedal to the fire tower and drop into the enduro trail??
From Fire crest. The trail head is just before the fire tower on the left
That Assegai seems to be getting some love all over the youtubes these days. Great video, from soothing to intense!
25psi and had no issues any where
I was there all weekend. I didn't see or here you all weekend! Lol! Glad yiu had fun
I was lapping the drop for sure
Live 3 hrs from there and haven't been there. I definitely need to change that. Good vid
You should totally do it man. Great trails
I started no braking a few obstacles and sections recently, awsome fun
Crazy how simple it is to just commit to the speed and hang out for the ride.
Wazzzzupp muttthha sukkah always great video 👍 👍
Thanks Bud
Greetings from Hungary. Good job on the sick drop. Keep on rolling 🤘
Hell ya brother.

Should be headed to snowshoe for 15-16-17th
@@SteadySpin I'll be there hit me up

@@SteadySpin It would be a good call to have Angelo be your guide up there on that trip, or at least ride with him a bit. Dude is cool and fun!
@@headsnap Always a good time.....If youre heading up for the race in two weeks lets get a practice lap in together!!
I’ve seen that drop in person and it is massive
It had been haunting me from the first time I went.
Always impressed by your riding
Thanks brother
Great job man! Smooth voice over like the quiet storm or Kbillie's super sound of the 70's lol
This is a Death Proof car, at least on my side.
@@SteadySpin come down further south dude. There some trails passed sope creek ,blanket, and them
You know I don’t like to pedal.
WV my home state. In my teens in the 90's I used to go to the WV Fat Tire Festival every August in Slatyfork. Last day of event we loaded bikes up on the Cass Scenic Railroad Train to the top of Bald Knob & rode back down and had a barbeque to conclude the festival. Now days I live in Florida and there are surprisingly some awesome places to ride. I'm also a trucker & take my bike with me around the country and ride. Being diagnosed with type2 diabetes is what got me back into mountain biking after more than 16yrs off the bike and man have the technology changed on bikes these days compared to the 90's and cost so much more. So far I've mountain biked 3 summer's in a row out on the road. 1st I did the famous Barr Trail down Pikes Peak, Colorado, next summer rode trails in Grand Junction & Fruita, Colorado, last summer rode the famous Whole Enchilada trail in Moab, Utah. That one was my favorite and was epic. So many awesome views. From the Burros Pass trailhead it was a 35mi ride back to town, 30 of it trail & last 5 was on the road back to hotel. The comfort Inn allowed me to park my truck in the back. Ya gotta bring entry of water and food for that trail. Experienced riders takes a minimum of 6hrs to complete. I'm a big guy and a little slower and me & my nephew had to do some trailside repairs and ended up taking us 12hrs as a result last July. Summer is really hot in Moab but the top in the alpine area is nice & cool but air really thin up at 11,000ft.
Great insight. The whole Enchilada sounds amazing. Heard many great things. Pretty awesome your back o. The bike after so long. What part of Florida are you in ?
I live in Ocala, FL. The Santos Mountain Bike Park there is awesome with nearly 50 miles of trails from beginner to expert and a feeeride area. I ride the expert trails when practicing & preparing for my summer rides out west. For exercise & fun I ride the blue trails when I'm home of course.
Those are amazing trails. Did you see me Santos edit ?
@@SteadySpin not yet.
Steady spin santos
You are an inspiration!
Awesome
I'm thinking I might hit Snow Shoe at the end of the season since I've never actually gotten to ride a lift serviced park outside of skiing.
Going to change your mind and i see more parks with lifts in your future.
@@SteadySpin For sure. The issue is that I think the closest is actually Snow Shoe and it's like, almost four and a half hours away.
It’s a 6.5 hour drive for me. Was 9.5 before I moved to Asheville. It’s totally worth it
@@abadatha it's 6.5 for me and I hit it at least once a month!
@@headsnap I intend to start hitting that kind of stuff more frequently probably next year. Just don't trust my car to make it that far and back, so next year will be new car time.
Great post, perfect timing too, putting together a plan to go riding out of FL, currently targeting Dupont and then SnowShoe, checking out a lot of posts on both places and each looks to have some fun stuff that isn't extreme. We won't be doing the road gap, just expanding our riding experiences, FL is fun but always good to travel and explore.
DuPont is great. And don’t forget about bailey mtb park. Lots to do in the Asheville area
@@SteadySpin Thanks, will do, and keep doing what you do, it is fun to follow along with your posts.
Nice way to get at that cupcake drop 👍
They have one more I need to hit.
Steady Spin get it! Can’t wait to see 🤙
Snowshoe is epic AF
totally agree
Great video, you made me sub so fast! keep it up :)
Share me up bro, I’m almost to 5k
@@SteadySpin i enjoy watching mountain bike videos and i'm planing to buy one next month. And i thaught it was a really interesting video in that bike park. You also made me interested about mountain biking and i can't wait until next month when i will buy one, Thank you!
Make sure to get a bike for the style of riding you will be doing.
@@SteadySpin I've very recently gotten into mountainbiking so can you explain the different styles of mountainbiking?
Xc= more fitness than skill
All mountain/ enduro = rowdy and less worried about climbing speed
DH= how bad can it get
Stay on the trail no matter if it's muddy!! Don't widen the problem.
Parks are a express way for riders. I don’t think the same rules apply for pay to play.
Kinda like me telling people to stop making braking bumps in the berms. Just the way Park is.
