The best thing about the Magic Keyboard is it puts the iPad in the best position to watch movies. It would be great if when the iPad recognized the Magic Keyboard connection it changed into a hybrid Mac OS by adding something as simple as a menu bar and a true mouse icon and option menu on screen when you right click.
Can I put a screen protector on the iPad 13 and use it with the Magic Keyboard folio ? I know using some keyboard protectors for the Mac might do some damage, but is this the same regarding screen protectors for the iPad and Magic Keyboard ?

The OG Magic Keyboard is made from metal underneath all that rubber coating material. I know this because I “accidentally” tore that material off of one and was so thankful for Apple Care.

I wanted a tablet due to the benefits tablets have over laptops (iPADOS, touch screen, lightweight, ability to work while holding the device with one hand etc.). I've never had any desire to try and make my tablet a laptop. Dictation and the on screen keyboard, is good enough for me when away from home. A bluetooth keyboard (MX Keys Mini) and mouse (MX 3) sits on the desk at home for heavy duty work. Enjoyed the video! 👍🙏
I’ve been comparing the white and black keyboards. I wish the white keys didn’t wash out because of backlighting in so many situations. Probably sending the white back. But I prefer the white because it has better backlighting in bright conditions; the black keyboard backlight always comes on which probably means battery life will be shorter. Plus the black keys will get nasty very quickly just like black keys on MacBooks and older black MKB. Anyone else with the WHITE MKB experience wash out from backlight as well? (If only there were a function key or shortcut key to manage the backlighting, it could be adjusted so much faster than having to go into Settings etc etc etc every time.)

It's about the keyboard, not that the M2 is by any means bad or something. Today I got the chance to try the new one and it feels way better than the outgoing one.
The keyboard keys feel much better and the addition of the function keys with the aluminium top makes for a very premium feel and experience. I love it
i really like the laid back and chaotic nature of this video. it made it more fun and authentic, especially because youtubers that speak as if they're a robot or a corporate employee suck out any form of unique expression that could make the video so much better 😊
I feel like it is a better experience than my M3 13 in MBA at least for what I use it for. The screen is a game changer and the new keyboard is flawless.
mine is iPad Pro M1 12.9 inch with Logitech combo touch keyboard with function keys. It works great, and still powerful. I still love my M1 iPad with Logitech keyboard. The only issue with this keyboard, it takes a huge space on my desk. Screen is very nice with micro-LCD
The changes to the magic keyboard are a nice upgrade and its good that apple is still trying to perfect it. However, im concerned about the sceen wobble; seeing that the bottom part of the area that folds up is now at 90°. The previouse angled design seems to be more stable. I understand that this was purely done to allow room for the function row but to be honest, as someone who uses the ipad more like an ipad, the lack of a function row wasn't a deal breaker. As a matter of fact im more disappointed that the option for the folio keyboard isnt there any more as it was cheaper and could be used both for typing and proping the ipad when one needed to sketch. But anyway, I understand that this keyboard is more for those people who want to use the ipad as a mac so i guess, there's that.
Don’t like that you can’t increase the keyboard backlight unless it is dark around you. I want to be able to increase it even if it isn’t completely dark!
One point i have to disagree on is that it is ok to make things a little bigger for better battery life. There really hasnt been an improvement for battery life on an ipad in a long time.

A fantastic upgrade. But honestly I’ve gotten used to the previous one and my M1 iPad still throws around 4k video files like they’re jpeg. So… not worth the upgrade for now in my opinion, as it’d require changing iPad. I’ll wait a while.

I’m happy it’s a more durable material but I hate hearing reviews praising how it’s more “mac-like” and asking for them to make it a MacBook; iPad is perfect for illustration, animation, and note taking and a MacBook sucks for those. If it becomes too similar to the MacBooks then it risks being useless for artists and students.
Tech reviewers are wrong about the wanting a mac thing. If you want a mac, get a mac. If you want a touch screen mac, request for a touchscreen mac. Let the ipad be uniquely an ipad, let apple try out a different way of computing with the ipad. Many people like that.

I’m a big fan of Apple products in general, but once again they’ve missed the mark with this thing in some painfully obvious ways. For starters PUT A FUCKING CLIP OR LOOP OR SOMETHING ON IT TO SECURE THE APPLE PENCIL! Duh! One bump putting it in a backpack or just an accidental bump and that shit is coming straight off. Also, make the damn keyboard detachable and give it an adjustable angle stand. For crying out loud it’s like nobody who designs this stuff actually thinks about how people want to use it. The Logitech Combo Touch Case is 1000 times more versatile and well thought out than this one OR the previous generation.

the trackpad is so quiet. Its a huge improvement over the noisy-ass previous one.
The iPad can charge at 60 watts through the Magic Keyboard. That is much faster than the 22 watts it previously charged at.
I’ve heard the same, but I’ve also heard from countless sources that it may sadly only be up to 29W pass through
