I completely agree with his review. I had a similar experience when I upgraded my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 to the 2023 version. The main reason for my upgrade to iPad Pro 13 m4 was the screen, and I was pleasantly surprised by how light the new model is. I could definitely feel and see the difference. While I'm not a tech reviewer, just a regular user, this upgrade gave me the WOW factor that last year's model didn't.
The way I look at it, the new M4 pro is an enabler and it expands my experience and capabilities to create new things. It challenges me to think and explore new things.
Christian pastor here. Would love to add something I simply haven't seen engaged in a lot of tech videos, esp regarding iPad: The "Presenter Mode" on Pages is an included feature unique to the iPad (not available on the Mac version). For purposes of public speaking, the app is irreplaceable. In terms of work flow, writing a manuscript, and then pushing a button to have the text transformed into an autoscrolling teleprompter has been a game changer for me over the past few years. When you couple that with the amount of Zoom meetings you participate in as a pastor as well as the freedom LTE gives you to work on emails etc literally anywhere - not to mention the reading apps (kindle, books, nook, google, adobe, etc) - speaking of the iPad as a mere "consumption device" really just displays a lack of imagination.
I’m a pastor as well and LOVE my M1 iPad Pro 12.9” as my sole device because of what he says in this video: “It’s a complete and versatile echo system with the Apple echo system.”. I’ll never go back to a laptop.
Pastor here as well, and i love using my iPad for service operations. Apple Music for bg music pre-service connected to the Mac while also controlling the screen with ProPresenter, Apple Home thermostat, etc. Definitely very useful. But above all, more than the latest tech, it only the anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage! The undeniable presence of the Lord is truly the only thing that matters 🙌🏻
….” For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known”.. (quote from the Apostle Paul before he got to heaven and saw the iPad Pro😉)
Such a refreshing take on the new iPads! So many people are saying the same thing about it being unnecessarily good. I'm upgrading to the 13" soon because I have a 2017 11" iPad Pro that has served me well for many years. And your statement of the ipad's ability to do more makes you push harder to do more to make the most of it is so true!
Unlike MKBHD who doesn’t use ANY of the Pro apps and he only uses the iPad to watch Netflix and browse the internet… and YET, he complains that the iPad is just an iPad same as before and the more powerful CPU is not needed or doesn’t do anything for him. If thats YOU, then get the iPad Air. You have no place buying an iPad Pro. Software like: Final Cut Logic Pro Photoshop DaVinci Resolve ZBrush Procreate Procreate Dreams Triple A games: Resident Evil 4, RE8, Death Stranding, etc. All of these use the extra CPU/GPU power.
I don't know how could miss this, but if everyone who bought the ipad pro only used it for the pro apps, they would never make a single ipad Pro because that demographic is just... not nearly big enough for a premium product like this. The pro features that DO exist, do so on the back of people who have major money and bought it to watch youtube. So telling people to leave is incredibly short sighted.
@@aoterou Its already been demoed on iPad Pro and thats besides the point. These are PRO apps and you keep hearing people who don’t use ANY of them complaining how the extra horsepower is not needed. If you even game on the iPad you would 100% see that the extra power is indeed needed. RE4 performance is not the best on my M1 iPad Pro.
@@nuggyfresh6430 Idk how you miss this but THIS is a good example how out of control the consumerism is in the US. Apple has the iPad and iPad Air SPECIFICALLY for people who don’t need all the bells and whistles…. And what do they do???? They spend the extra money on things they’ll never need and then complain over things they never use.
iPad Pro user here, who actually bought the M2 version because of Davinci Resolve. After using it for 18 months as a daily driver I still am really happy with the performance. But there is no denying that it is held back by software limitations. DaVinci for example has all the features of the desktop under the hood, yet you can not access them, because Apple choose to treat mouse support differently than on a Mac. It is not a matter of thinking differently about your workflow…or adapting it. If you want to do some things in these pro apps, you need a PC or a Mac, because the iPad versions won‘t do it. And to some extent this is because Apple doesn‘t want the iPad to live up to its full potential.
My biggest issue with ipad is iOS and especially the mail app. The way it deals with attachments is so frustrating: I just want to see attachments under the subject like all mail apps. Please fix this Apple.
PREACH!! Loved this review as I couldn’t agree any more! Too many reviewers downplayed this upgrade and said the same things, you hit this out of the park. Love all the upgrades together to make this worth upgrading to if your budget affords it. Lighter vs thinner is overlooked and you nailed it, I like the lightness so much I went with the 11” to compliment my MacBook Air & office set up. A+ for this video, keep the creative content coming!!
Very appropriate title, most reviews out there are from people from one of these groups: 1) They don't use an iPad at all. 2) They only use it for media consumption and web browsing. 3) They are "trying to return to it" to see if it's a MacBook already.
exactly. ALSO the whole "ipados is the problem issue" is manufactured by these apple rumor reddit hacks. compared to what? the surface pro? the average consumer does not care about that.
Yeah, why can't they just accept that Apple is going to sell their two MacBooks at full price and one is going to have so many limitations because 'it's just a complement'?" People are so dummy.
The screen is to die for. That panel is just as color accurate as a Flanders scientific XMP550. Granted not as bright as the XMP550 at 2000 nits peak, but also not 20 thousand dollars. To have enterprise grade color accuracy in the palm of your hand is a great feeling as a digital artist. Not even an apple fan, but this was my first.
The first minute intro of this video is excellent, loved it! Totally true in the end, that the user of the iPad Pro is what makes it pro, no matter how great the hardware is! ❤
I am an artist that needs sketching on my device so MacBook doesn’t do it for me. As a result, I use Surface Pro as my main away from desktop productivity device. Have been hoping for a MacOS hybrid on iPad Pro so my ecosystem could just be Mac Studio for desktop with iPad Pro as my away from desktop everything productivity device. I have been resisting so far since my Surface Pro 8 does it all even though Surface Pen not quite up to the ease of Apple Pencil. This is why I watch this type of video. Will wait until this fall and maybe upgrade to Surface Pro 11 instead of iPad Pro M4.
This is a really great take on the new iPad! There’s only a few creators that I trust when it comes to iPad content. While the iPad already do everything I want it to do (with some work around of course), I would love the iPad to have more traditional pro apps like full Microsoft-suite and Adobe-suite as an option.

Absolutely love this review. I just bought the 13 inch pro as an upgrade from my 2018 pro (3rd generation pre-M1)…WOW. I appreciate all of your reviews..thanks!
I'm looking to make this same move - 2018 Pro (3rd gen, pre-M1). I don't use the keyboard, mainly use it for content consumption. Has the upgrade been worth it for you?
“Worth it” is tough, because it is certainly expensive. But, it is beautiful, fast and definitely future proof for a while. I am also hoping the software makes some leaps forward in June!
Update to my response. I have been using as much as possible as my only device… at end of today, I went back to my 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. I cranked brightness all the way up… I couldn’t believe how dim the screen looked after using iPad Pro all day. It was remarkable.
Well said Chris, so looking forward to WWDC to see what additional features iPad OS will have (e.g. AI, new process capabilities, etc.). Keep up the great work buddy!
Absolutely spot on. Why even compare iPad with a Mac. iPad does iPad things beautifully. Do I need M4 ? Why not. Faster iPad is always better. Tired of people comparing iPad with Mac. If you want a Mac go for it. If you want an iPad - This is it. Am loving my iPad which does all my things as I wanted.
You have great fans. Many liked your video before enough time elapsed between publishing this post and the length of your video. I happened to see your post at 2 minutes after posting, started watching the post. Helpful day-in-the-life observations about the screen, pencil, and means to be productive. I do chuckle at your daily use - you’re a truly heavier user and need more power than the average iPad user. It’s true it’s a remarkable device and tech. I’m surprised at the advice to upgrade but I get your rationale. Well done video btw.
Look at the back metal of the iPad from an angle. They all have rippled metal since they are so thin. It makes them look like they are dented straight out of the box.
Thinking of upgrading my 2020 12.9" iPad Pro with the A12Z chip, it works fine but battery life issues, only good for barely 4 hours at this point. I am hoping the M4 Pro will still fit the old magic keyboard, don't want to have to spend another $300 to replace that right now. And I'm on the fence about the new pencil. I don't use my current pencil much only because it doesn't feel natural... if that makes sense. Does the new pencil feel better? My MacBook Air doesn't get used much, but absolutely love it, I tend to always have my iPad pretty much every where I go.
Old iPad Pro had same brightness 5th gen m1 model, so what’s this one is brighter? Mini led screen is almost identical so why spend so much money to replace ??
Currently using the new m4. I upgraded from the first generation pro and i feel like i am working in a whole new universe!!!! Obviously my jump is night and day, but the device is awesome. I will say my iPad does get hot, but not to the point where it feels like it’s burning :) I really enjoyed this video though.
I had the ipad Pro 13 for like a week and use it exclusively to create a new ecommerce website from scratch: Python coding, logo design, product label design, photo editing for the product photos, illustraion, ERP management for the business, etc. etc. Everything you can do with a computer can now be done with an ipad, but it’s done differently. Some apps aren’t fully featured yet, Photoshop for the ipad feels like an afterthought. Anything the ipad can do, the Mac can do it faster. It’s the biggest problem.
Wow, man, you're so productive. Imagine if you had bought a Surface Pro instead of a limited iPad. You probably would have finished your e-commerce website already. You could do so much more and not just dream and wait for the 'full iPad apps.'"
@@EibrahamCx I usually finish one site in about 8 hours. Using the ipad, it's about the same time too. I have surface pro 9 and 10, those aren't as good as the ipad to be honest.
I have always used my iPad Pro as my mobile device instead of a MacBook. I have a mac mini with studio display at my home office. I got the new 11" iPad Pro to replace my 12.9 M1 iPad Pro because I find the 12.9/13 inch so heavy and unwieldy. Now I don't have to sacrifice screen quality with a smaller iPad Pro.
Do you think eventually, if not already, iPadOS is considered a legit computer operating system? You can do everything on it a computer can... do we really need Mac OS on it?
I'm a new subscriber and I really appreciate your thoughts. I just purchased the new iPad Pro 11, with 1T, and have been bombarded with videos basically telling me that I wasted my money and should have purchased a MACbook. To me it's not either/or. I've been using an iPad for years for work, along with my desktop, and the two are complimentary. Plus I carry the iPad with me everywhere, so the lightness is appealing. It was refreshing to hear a review from someone who loved this device and made me excited about my purchase all over again. Thank you for the video.
I had iPad pro 2018. I waited for this update. I turned it in for 11 1TB, M4 with Keyboard and pencil. Glad to finally get an updated one.. Regular screen added paperlike. Have Logic. Downside -I use Logic pro for over15 years. Lost in the iPad pro version. Oh yes, plus the MS office suite. My new travel Computer.
Getting my daughter iPad pro M4 as a present to replace her still functional (but limited) 1st gen iPad pro. Im excited for her. Thanks for the review.
My M4 iPad Pro 13” 1TB nano screen just delivered - did I need it really, to replace my M1 12.9”, no. But for travel I always take my iPP as my work device, leaving my Surface laptop at work given its terrible battery life. The M1 just doesn’t get me through each day without battery issue, so the new M4 should be a big benefit, which I’ll use in the next two weeks before my week of travel and daily presentations. Super excited to see how it performs.
For anyone who has a 2021 M1 MacBook Pro is this new iPad Pro as thin as that MacBook Pro screen? Does it feel like you are walking around with a MacBook Pro screen?
Waiting impatiently for the new Mini. The more reviews I see of the new iPads, the more upset | get that it wasn't included this time. I'm sure l'm not the only one. Thanks, as always, for the content.
Just unboxed my new iPad Pro m4! Had to upgrade after accidentally breaking my m1 😅 Excited to dive into all the new features and share my thoughts soon
I find the button placement a bit different when I picked it up today. Was the M2 button placement in the same location? It'll take a sec to get used to, but so far this device is pretty nice.
I love the new iPad Pro M4, keyboard and Pencil Pro. Love the bright display, beautiful display, speakers, thinness. Magic keyboard feels great, and the funtion row is what ive been waiting for. I preordered a Dbrand skin for my keyboard, thats always been my biggest complaint with it, it just feels like it gets gritty feeling. Ive tried a MacBook Pro before, and i jsut dont like the experience, and not having touch screen.😊
To your point, this new M4 iPad Pro is an upgrade, and i would add, for the right user. My Granddaughter creates drawings using Pro Create (she’s into Anime) and currently uses the 12.9” M2 iPad Pro. I can definitely see the improvements here to this new model that would benefit her. However, I have the 11” M1 iPad Pro from 2021, and i use it in conjunction with my MBA and iPhone. For myself, i can’t see the necessity to upgrade at this time for the way i use mine.
My big query, is regarding RAM Nearly all tech reviewers state, that if you are doing photography/video editing etc on a macbook, 16GB RAM is a MUST What about these new iPad Pros? Is 8Gb on a 512 GB drive sufficient?
Loved this review! Lots of reviews saying the old “it’s still the same for web browsing, watching content and replying to e-mails” and being “limited by the software”. While there is an argument for the software side, I feel like the iPad’s capabilities, which were really well exposed on your review, are being overshadowed by comments and mindsets that are wanting the product to be something that it clearly is not (a Mac). I traded in both my MacBook Pro M1 and a 2020 iPad Pro for the new M4 11” with the magic keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro, I realized that everything I do (music recording, video/photo editing, productivity plus basic computer stuff), I can now do it all on the iPad. Same way as a Mac? No, but it can be done, it’s all just of a learning curve like mentioned. The potential of mobile computing is catching up and I’m excited.
I have been using my 2018 12.9 inch iPad Pro everyday since I got it. I just upgraded my MacBook Pro last year from the 2009 13 inch MBP to the 16 inch 2023 M2 MBP. I was on my MacBook today and accidentally touched the screen like it was my iPad smh 🤦🏻♂️. 😂 I will say though, I tried the Apple Universal Control feature, and was blown away. It works so well for me.
The only things I find it worth to buy iPad Pro over other iPads are, portability, Magic Keyboard, Pencil Pro for note taking, video calling with teams/zoom, document scanning & whatever I did on my iPad Mini (like web-surfing, document signing, gaming, universal control from Mac). The iPad Air can do many of these things but only things that kept me away from are price, weight and ergonomics.
Great video as always! It does feel different. The keyboard is sleeker and wow, the ipad is really fast and responsive and I like that. Mostly cuz time is short.
I just upgraded from the IPad Pro with the A12Z chip. I’ve loved it, as a graphic design artist I definitely gain an advantage using the iPad Pro and I think your review is a breath of fresh air. I’m tired of everyone complaining about wanting the iPad become a MacBook. Do we need a fast m4 chip? No not really but we do need the Apple Pencil, and all these upgrades are nice to have like the new OLED display. I have the m1 MacBook Pro but still to this day I used my older iPad Pro WAY more than my MacBook for my professional work.
If I have a 16in MBP and a iPhone 15PM and I’m not a graphic artist why would I need an iPad Pro? What can I do on an IPP (apart from using the pen with it) that I can’t do on a MBP or iPhone?
Exactly why Apple makes product for different needs. You do not need the iPad Pro if you have no use for it. But there are a lot of professions that would benefit of the touch base and the Apple Pencil.
I have an iPad 2018 6th Gen, so I guess this 11" iPad Pro is a nice improvement :D I'm still trying to find reasons to stick to the air, but the 120Hz, the 4 speakers and the longevity of the M4 are moving me to Pro. I'm going to use it for multimedia, internet, NOT for gaming, but I'm going to use it for virtualizing a Linux machine, for some specific remote work, which require a desktop environment with VPN and a browser (that's why I'm thinking about UTM with Debian 12 with XFCE).
It’s good for some creators but it seems like 3d asset creators & modelers are still being forgotten about. 3-D printing slicers, CAD programs, blender, applications, etc. only run on macOS, PC, and occasionally Linux.. Hopefully, we get some good news at WWDC regarding the ability to run macOS applications. My M1 Mac ran those applications with ease, so it’s weird for the M4 iPad PRO would be so limited and incapable.
In hearing you talk about your three-device setup, I can’t help but think that we are coming closer to device convergence. One argument for the iPad is that convertible laptop/tablets end up being neither a very good laptop nor a very good tablet. I think the Microsoft Surface comes close, but I think you are right about letting the iPad be the iPad because it is a focused product: the very best tablet possible. But it might be nice to have fewer devices or maybe one device that can do it all, and I think Apple hardware and Apple silicon are bringing us closer to the point of possibly having a device that can actually be the best tablet and the best laptop. The M4 power and the great industrial design are taking us there. Thanks for the great review.
@mkbhd This is how an iPad Pro user uses his iPad Pro. It’s not a MacBook clamshell style computer. It’s modular it’s new it’s touch based. It’s better than a MacBook imo. I hate how all tech reviewers think iPads are lack luster or a watered down version of macOS. Is two completely different devices. Someone needs a video to explain this and call out all other tech reviewers.
I purchased the 11 inch iPad Pro to watch cartoons and Bigfoot/UFO documentaries. Works great watching Foghorn Leghorn and Rocky and Moose. Stunning product!
My M1 iPad Pro 11 replaced my MBP in Nov. 2021 for my real estate business. My iPad is my mobile computer. I also like to use it with an external monitor, bt keyboard, and magic trackpad 2, but I also love my M2 Pro Mac Mini for desktop work.
Great video thanks! I think Paperlike are wrong about the nanotexture display. It is amazing to write and draw on with the Apple Pencil. All the note takers and illustrators I know are getting that option. It’s also so much better using gestures on the screen. Definitely try it out before you buy. Shame it’s only available on the higher end iPads.
Along with your suggestion that there are different kinds of iPad users, your opinion of the value of the upgrade also depends on what you are upgrading from. In my case, I have a 2nd gen iPad Pro (12.9 inch) from 2017 and the M4 version is dramatically worse in audio quality. It took me a day or two for this to fully sink in, but since I listen to the speakers in the iPad quite a bit, the new one is borderline unusable for me. The sound is hollow and muddy and just a lot worse than my 2017 model. If I listened through headphones none of this would matter, but this is my portable video and audio device and I need the audio to not suck. The big upgrade I would ask for is to add back in the thickness that was removed to hit 5.1 mm. And focus on the sound quality, it is important.
Hi Chris, I have the 12.9” iPad Pro M2 & LOOOOOVE my iPad however, recently I lost (it died actually) my MacBook Air. I cant complain, it was 13 years old 😂. Anyway, I haven’t replaced it because my Apple ecosystem is my Big Mac (27”) & iPad Pro but the challenge I face is working on my iPad Pro to edit our websites. Our host is Siteground & I build our sites with Wordpress & Elementor. I needed to do some edits recently away from the Big Mac & found that the edits weren’t saving on the iPad Pro. I have searched everywhere for a solution & check in on your videos from time to time so if I am missing something, I would greatly appreciate a little push in the right direction. Thanks & love your videos. You’re a gentleman & good guy for providing so much value to our community. 🎉 C
Enjoyed the introduction! And I am fully on board with your thoughts on the keyboard... although, I wish it was compatible with previous generation iPad Pros. Apple knew this going into the process... I would upgrade for the keyboard alone!
@@bwolverton Ah, didn’t expect to bump into other Logos users here! I’m a big user of that software and, in fact, it’s that software that still keeps me tethered to a desktop computer. @@Andy-rc9db I totally agree and I am in the same boat with you being tethered to my MBP to get the full functionality of Logos. It’s the last straw I need to go fully iPad Pro. I think people need to be honest with themselves; are you a creative or a consumer? iPad Pro will really help creatives, where a cheaper iPad will work great for consumers. You don't need the latest shiny thing unless you have an actual use case for it. I love my M1 11 inch iPad Pro but use it mainly for watching content. I could have saved some money by getting the iPad Air and still have been just as happy. Having said all that, I love Face ID, it just makes sense to me. Great video, Thanks.
Agree. This Pro is a capital purchase for pros -- a machine for making stuff, and eventually, making money. If one wants a kitchen streaming toy that also surfs, then an Air - or plain ole iPad - would be a better pick.
I use my iPad Pro for reading, taking notes, checking emails, filling out and signing documents, web browsing, watching movies and TV shows from my library, Netflix and Disney Plus, and a little gaming. Having the extra RAM, pro motion, and extra speakers is really nice. Plus I like using the Apple Pencil pro. I have the 11 inch model which is also lightweight and great for travelling.
@@michaelhall9146every reason that you listed is not for having an iPad pro. If you don't have any professional work to do on it. It's your money. You can spend it how you wish, but you're just spending a lot of money for a media player if you're not using it for your job
Love your videos on iPad - been a long time viewer and always thought “i could never displace my Mac Air with an iPad” - purchased the new 13 inch iPad Pro and have not opened my laptop for one week! the whole new package is great - I’m not a creative (work more from Office 365) so I don’t see the need for the pen in my use case - but the screen, the “lightness” and the beautiful keyboard have really elevated by adoption of iPad Pro. I liked your video and your take on using it. I am getting a new one and just not sure which configuration I should get. At the end of the day since I am not a content creator, I think I will go with 11” 256gig. I don't think I could do all my work on it as I am a heavy spreadsheet user. I primarily use the iPad for content consumption, writing emails and taking notes. I probably would be fine with the iPad air but I use my current one outside quite often and I also like face id. I am going to get a keyboard for it but I would like to compare the new magic keyboard with the new logitech combo keyboard. Will you be getting one for review?
This review is interesting. Rarely do I see people appreciate iPad in its current form. I appreciate it too and the power it has for 3D content is amazing. I just wish more premium games were on there and more 3D apps that supported MikuMikuDance files
Why does the conversation about professional applications often focus on video editing? What about architects? They require professional-grade software such as AutoCAD. Apple is overlooking a significant customer base. **and construction management apps
For me, I'm an artist so I use the iPad for drawing but for anybody else I don't see how an iPad would be very efficient to do anything else. It's just a big phone so you can't really use PC programs on it. And everything besides drawing just takes longer on an iPad compared to a PC or laptop. Editing music or videos with the apple pencil is slower than using keyboard. Shortcuts
*« Specs do not matter. »* oh yeah, if you do not use it for what it can let you do (to the max). For the Netflix watchers, this is not the product unless they just have money to burn.
...or simply want the best iPad because they will keep it for 5-7 years, want the best experience, and are willing to pay $400 more over that time period. It is so future-proofed that iPads are a bargain if you keep them for 10+ years. The M1 iPad Pro is three years old and is still a beast. Look at the best Galaxy Tab S7 (SD865, LCD, no longer getting updates) from the same period and realise how paying more and getting the best means your device can even beat out 2024 Android Tablets!

@@Alysaklapper school computer no. Get a MacBook Air. iPad Pro is great unless you plan to use school computers for tests and exams. But if you have a work computer then an iPad Pro is your personal go to.
One of the very few reviewers who relate to who is watching the video and want to advance and expand on iPad Pro.
100%
As a seminary student, I 100% agree. God bless you in your ministry and service! I’m using my iPad to complete my MDiv degree.
Software like:
Final Cut
Logic Pro
Photoshop
DaVinci Resolve
ZBrush
Procreate
Procreate Dreams
Triple A games: Resident Evil 4, RE8, Death Stranding, etc.
@@nuggyfresh6430 Really, so you say digital artists the primary user base are not using pro apps? Sorry, you are wrong.
Glad I’m not the only one hitting the lock key instead of delete!
Ha, ditto - it’s taken a bit of getting use to. Glad they included it though.
I'm a big CS Lewis fan, and as such was pleasantly surprised to catch your subtle Lewis quote at 5:18
Yea that was clutch…very sneaky, Chris! 🔥
Came here to say the same!
Amen! 👏🙌
Very appropriate title, most reviews out there are from people from one of these groups:
1) They don't use an iPad at all.
Man, what an intro! I love your scripting. Keep it up! 👏🏻
Hey thanks!
Ordered mine. 13” 1 TB coming from a 2018/2020 non-M iPad Pro… I hope it’s worth the upgrade
This is a really great take on the new iPad! There’s only a few creators that I trust when it comes to iPad content.
While the iPad already do everything I want it to do (with some work around of course), I would love the iPad to have more traditional pro apps like full Microsoft-suite and Adobe-suite as an option.
“Pushes ME to push IT” 1000000% yes
Ordering my 1tb 13” I pad pro with cellular in space black asap! My 2020 12.9 gets gifted to my Dad who currently has a 2020 air.Winning!!!! priceless!!!🎉
Got the iPad Pro 11 m4. Fills out all my needs. Great video as always.
Chris, did you buy the 1 TB model? Trying to decide if I need that or not.
DailyTekk, You're the best! I just had to subscribe!
Welcome!
A great iPad Pro review from a real iPad user/fan. Thanks Chris.
Good stuff, Chris. I have the 1TB 11” and loving it. This video explains why. Cheers!
Terrific!! Thank you for such a concise and informative video!!!! Can’t wait to purchase the M4!!!!
Separately, I’ve always seen the MacBook as useless. The best combo is An iPad Pro + An iMac not a MacBook + iMac 😂
Absolutely - my favourite combo too. And they work great together with Universal Control
Or a Mac Studio plus whatever display you want if you need the extra power in a Mac
Why not just offer macos as cloud subscription for the ipad for tasks needed - maybe even on-device compute powered.
I want to learn to create and I love it so far. So much to learn but I’m totally in. BTW I’m 75 years old!
Spectacular intro, Bravo!
🙌🏻
Chris, you are seriously the best Apple tech UA-camr! Keep it up, and thanks for your amazing content!
My big query, is regarding RAM Nearly all tech reviewers state, that if you are doing photography/video editing etc on a macbook, 16GB RAM is a MUST What about these new iPad Pros? Is 8Gb on a 512 GB drive sufficient?
I’d love to see that video on the advantages of the 13” screen over the 11”…
YES! A thoughtful review of iPad Pro by an actual iPad Pro user!🎉
Getting an iPad Pro just after WWDC and coming from regular 9.7 iPad from 2017,… will I get a much better experience? 😅 I imagine so!
Hope they bring back the keyboard folio case it’s my favorite
Do M1 versions fit on the new/latest Smart keyboard (the one with the new top row of function keys)??
With your videos IConstantly get twisted to buy the new iPad. Great work mate. Thank you very much for your work for your videos. They look fantastic.
Would you be just a productive if you had a Mac OS Laptop, instead of the Ipad Pro?
Totally agree Chris- made a big difference in my daily use. Btw- I pair with 13” m1 MacBook Pro and pro pencil What a pair!
Dude, that was one of the greatest UA-cam openings ever- nice job if you came up with that yourself.
Have you tried using the iPad keyboard on your Mac using universal control?
When it comes to the speakers, any noticeable difference?
I love mine, great compliment to my macbook pro. When I travel, the iPad is all I need.
This video completely sold me this iPad 💕 thank you!
can inew ipad use indesign adabe appps?
I purchased the 11 inch iPad Pro to watch cartoons and Bigfoot/UFO documentaries. Works great watching Foghorn Leghorn and Rocky and Moose. Stunning product!
My M1 iPad Pro 11 replaced my MBP in Nov. 2021 for my real estate business. My iPad is my mobile computer. I also like to use it with an external monitor, bt keyboard, and magic trackpad 2, but I also love my M2 Pro Mac Mini for desktop work.
Chris - what is the app on the right of Freeform? And what does it do?
Wow that introduction was everything. Thanks Chris ❤
I’m a big iPad Pro fan and love your videos! Thanks, Chris! Are you still a Logos user?
Logos Bible Software?
@@Andy-rc9db yes.
@@bwolverton Ah, didn’t expect to bump into other Logos users here! I’m a big user of that software and, in fact, it’s that software that still keeps me tethered to a desktop computer. The iPad app has come on leaps and bounds, but it still doesn’t match the functionality of that desktop experience (imo).
@@Andy-rc9db I totally agree and I am in the same boat with you being tethered to my MBP to get the full functionality of Logos. It’s the last straw I need to go fully iPad Pro. I think their web app is better than the iPad app. I hope they take advantage of the power of the M4 in the iPad to make the app identical. I’m a pastor so I’m using Logos weekly for sermon research/writing.
Definitely a consumer and use my mini 6 strictly for watching content.
Let people do what they want.
Looking forward to what they do with iPad OS18! What are your thoughts on iPad OS18?
What is that app with the chess pieces being rendered?
Octane
A real professional: "you should upgrade because I dont just enjoy the old one like I used to.."
This is the best review I’ve seen on the new iPad.
You Magic keyboard already looks like mine... I sure wish Apple would switch to PBT keycaps!
This was great! Thanks!
Wasnt going to listen to anyone elses review but yours man! Lol not even MKBHD.
Is the screen grainy?
