I understand and agree with what you're saying, but the family if they didn't know didn't do anything, and also unfortunately many sexual abusers also abuse family members, so if you're in that situation it's just a double whammy. 😕 I don't think anyone would want to be judged on the worst decisions any family member made, especially if it was something as heinous as this.

you don't get my comment. it has nothing to do with the situation the family members find themselves in afterwards. And yeah they shouldn't be tarred with that brush either. But the person who put them there is the one who wanted to commit horrible acts not the guy who caught the bad guy.

He specifically says he felt guilty about catching a solo dad who's kids had no family to go too and their dad was the only one holding it together. He felt guilty for forcing the kids into foster care. But the dad is the one that did the wrong thing, not the guy who caught him.

look into the conviction rate from to catch a predator and other pedo hunters if you want to see why guys like this are charlatans. they ruin any chances of conviction by producing lots of inadmissible 'evidence' and open the door for entrapment defenses. spend 5 minutes looking into the convictions that occur due to these sorts of groups and you will see how these guys are always doing this for their own enrichment and do not protect kids in any way.

I used to work with SO's (sexual offenders) as well as murderers, thieves etc. and by far the paedophiles were the worst of the bunch. They weren't remorseful, remained in denial, lied and connived, and all of them were re-offenders. We had a guy who would go out at 8am and come back at 3pm, tell us he's "been at a mates" or was shopping all day, when in reality he'd sit outside of schools. We couldn't do anything (both literally and by law) as they were allowed outside unrestricted (besides school premises ofc). Vile creatures, and I went in open minded for the record, thinking these people could be rehabilitated.

It’s horrible when someone you know turns out that way. One of our family friends who I have vacationed with growing up was found to have extremely bad images on his computer and thankfully went to prison for it. We obviously don’t talk to him anymore and it makes me sad that his life turned out that way 😔 it’s disgusting

Out of everything, the most disturbing part of this video is how short most of the prison sentences are. Rehab? And one year sentences? When there’s documented evidence and they show up with clear intent. Insane to me.
It's the same in America, which is wild. It's like no one in the world cares about the most defenseless, and the most innocent of us all... unless it makes them look good in politics, then they're full of hot air.
These people have nets all around the world. They are like a cult, they know each other and take advantage of money and power, for sure they have ways to influence on how little the governments care. As we evolve as society we keep raising the standards for what is acceptable, but some countries are trying hard to return to ages were girls of 13 and lower can get married. Rarely they are married to 13 years old boys, always to adult 30+ men. These things doesn't happen in vacuum, there's a reason no one batch an eye to the real numbers.

My step father molested me for 12 years and only ended up doing 4 months in jail. It's something you never truly heal from. The memories are always there. The depression, the anxiety, the PTSD it all follows you into adulthood. It's hard to connect to anything, it's hard to form healthy relationships with people, it's hard to trust anybody after going through something like that.. The justice system is so fucked. This man right here is a hero to many people like myself who have to live with the aftermath of something so tramatic. We need more people like this wonderful man in this horrid world we live in.

I think the worst part about being a victim of molestation by a family member or an adult you trusted as a child, are the delusions you trick yourself into believing, like "it was probably harmless or an accident" now that I'm in my 30's, it's still difficult to come to terms with and the psychological damage it inflicts makes me feel alienated from a normal life.
Please know, it was NEVER your fault , it's possible to heal the breach of trust that has damaged your ability to trust your own instincts. When you feel ready, look at Gabor Mate and his work on trauma. Good luck and know you aren't alone.

I'm incapable of trusting anyone.
My brother in law just got busted for this and as a former victim of childhood sexual abuse, I'm so glad groups like this exist. He was talking to law enforcement thinking it was a 12 year old girl. Thankfully it wasn't an actual child.... that time. You never get over it.
I hope you have a reliable support system in all this. That's a lot to have to deal with.
Stupid question asking if he feels remorse for someone taking their lives because of "his" actions. It's not his actions that have started this, it's the offenders. They chose to take those actions and act upon them just as they did to take their own lives.

Using any citations as revenue for anything should be illegal.
"they're underfunded and understaffed" is mostly propaganda. What they are is busy with useless crap to keep normal people in line, generate revenue, and create certain narratives and public images. Of course there are plenty of officers who would go after these guys, but the issue isn't that every officer is a bad person, it's that they are in a bad system (and unfortunately are invested in defending that system). People who value law and order should be the most skeptical of police and the judicial system.
cops don't want anything to do with these people because any exposure to these groups prior to the police doing actual investigations can taint a case and ruin any chance of conviction. see how much of the OJ Simpson trial was spent focusing on the potentially racist cop Mark Furhman, and the possibility he planted evidence. these guys give pedo's lawyers the perfect defense.

I work with content moderation and everyday I want to weep for the amount of predators I see online and no one does anything. If I knew what I know today; I would never have shared a single photo of my kid when he was younger.
If that were what content moderators in the SV tech cartel stuck to, I would have more sympathy for them (I don't know if you are one of them, or if you share their excesses). But no, they want to ban us for wrongspeak about gender issues or about inconvenient racial statistics.

I just found my teenage son's former employer on the registry. After researching his case, I can say his case is one of the most heinous cases I can imagine. How he survived 15 years in prison is beyond me.
almost everyone on that registry deserves to be punished, but one women on the register in my town actually shouldnt be on it, she was "date r**ed" by one of the male students she taught at the time, but because he was a minor, the 15 year old r**ist got a slap on the wrist and told "dont do that" and the women got prison time and put on the register for being r**ed, genuinely from my research ive found a handful of people on the registry who shouldnt be on there because there not the perpetrator of there alleged crime
If possible, maybe you can print out the report, and then pass it to someone who has family in prison. Then they could deliver the message and the inmates would most likely take care of it from there.

@@MotorKoiKarpfen she wasnt, it was later proven she was drugged at a bar, and the student was there with a fake id and drugged her before she would rat him out, he hated the teacher and thought it would be a great way to get back at her by r**eing her, after all this came out the student was kicked out by his parents and kicked out of school, last that was heard of him was he got arrested in london for urinating on a female paramedic
honestly, everyone in town knows the parents didnt care what there son did, they only kicked him out to keep there image, in fact theres still a rumour about them going around that they provided the drugs he used on the teacher
the teachers life was ruined, she has been in and out of hospitals and mental health facilities ever since thanks to developing self harm, severe depression, paranoia, and a lovely anxiety induced heart attack to top it all off has left her so frail she is wheelchair bound stuck in her home with a council appointed carer looking after her
ive researched this heavily since the teacher lives across the road from me and i saw her declining health spiral, i saw the bandaged wrists she would come home form the hospital with, that kid ruined her life, from everything ive found out, she didnt care about losing her job, it was the fact that the person who r**ed her didnt even face charges

Detection of its presence in the blood stream is almost impossible once the time has lapsed. If I'm not wrong, it leaves no trace. I’m generally against vigilante justice, because sometimes we disagree who the bad guys are. This is the one exception where I think we can all agree.
It entirely depends on the person who's doing it. This bloke is obviously careful and profesional in how he goes about it. But if somebody who isn't careful does it then guilty people can walk free and innocent people can get hurt. It's a seriously thin line.

@@brendanm6921 Also, many so-called paedophile hunters (such as Stinson Hunter) initially post as adults on adult dating websites and use a bait-and-switch technique, revealing a decoy age that is only a year or so below the age of consent (biologically and statistically normal attraction). This isn't to excuse the actions of the people who are caught, but it does mean that the people caught are mainly stupid opportunists and that police resources are having to be shifted away from horrific CSA perpetrated against very young children to these less serious cases. In my eyes, that makes paedophile hunters part of the problem.
I think one of the few things society can come together to agree on is that once somebody harms a child, theuve crossed a line where theres no return.
Paradoxically I wish things were a bit different to how they are now regarding stigmas and mental health, so that people who havent comitted such a heinous crime but have had intrusive thoughts or something that might lead towards that end can get help more easily. It might reduce this fellas workload and protect a few kids but I dont know if itll really do that much good. Its a strange paradox with an issue that simultaneously is kept in the shadows while simultaneously dragged into the harsh light of day.

Paedophilia is worse than murder, imo. There are sometimes very good reasons for taking the life of another person but there's _never_ an excuse to do bad things to a child. Both crimes result in a life being destroyed but the child has to carry that trauma which often results in self deletion, addiction, homelessness, mental illness etc.

We once had a speaker at my university who worked specifically on child abuse cases. At the time he was leading a team, but had already worked on pretty much every position within the team. He told us that the people involved in this type of work, especially those who have to go through evidence (from chat logs to photos) have to take breaks to watch standard, vanilla p****graphy every few hours, otherwise the time spent looking at photos of children in those scenarios can be so traumatizing they can't lead normal sexual lives. It's like those war vets who get PTSD from fireworks, but instead you're looking at your pertner before doing the deed and all you can remember are the children. I can't even begin to imagine what that's like, and I hope I never do.
That's horrible. Makes their work and dedication all the more impressive.
I knew a guy who was a full time mental health case after his time working with the Police with this material. He was just too sensitive a person to be doing that work

@@jimpim6454 He explained why but I'll go into further detail. Often, police/prosecutors will have to review 100's of cp pics/dozens/hundreds of hours of vids, documenting EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. That shit sticks in your mind, so it doesn't take a psych degree to see how viewing material that traumatic would cause flashbacks to occur, especially during irl sexual activity. Anything like a position or dirty talk phrase could trigger a memory of the cp and suddenly your partners face is that of one of the victims in your mind.
The legal adult content would be a quick trip back to safety/normality, an escape from the depravity and a form of levity to help cope with the horror of continuous cp viewing.

I went to court at the age of 14 on Valentines day many years ago because me and my friends were groomed. I won't go into detail, but it was horrific.
He got away with it and has never set foot in prison. He was previously caught acting on beastiality too, which I have only just found out. He wasn't sent down for that either. He is still free.
I don't celebrate Valentines day anymore because of that.

that makes me especially angry since I'm going trough hell for a wrongfull accusation of rape born out of what I expect is peer pressure and psychosis, I was begged to stay but had to protect a friend then returned at her request, slept together and a month later I got served by the university.

To give some context to the comment, she was talking about the social dynamics inside prisons, where a person can have a story, perhaps even a true story, that justifies even if morally the attack on a abuser spouse, or the attacker of a loved one, a situation of life or death, etc. There may even be more complex reasons that have to do with the perpetrator's circumstances and past. Of course only a fraction of murders can be explained this way, but absolutely NO attack on a child can be explained in ANY way in ANY case. Taking this into account, my opinion - very personal and certainly not an expert one - is that child abuse should have a *higher* penalty than murder, given also that in certain cases the person guilty of murder may not commit another crime in his life, but a offender pedophile will ALWAYS reoffend.

The truth is that _fewer_ children will be saved as a result of this man's actions, because the modus operandi of these 'hunters' is to entrap opportunists, often on adult dating sites with a bait-and-switch technique on age (as Stinson Hunter does). And then when they present evidence of the victimless crime to the police, the police are required to act on that evidence, which diverts resources away from more serious crimes against real children. So no, this is entirely counterproductive and not praiseworthy at all.

Secondly, police stations, constabularies and other policing units form part of a single overarching organisation. So there is almost certainly an entity to which one can write to opt out of such notifications.

I used to be a teacher (my health failed) and I still spend a lot of time being stressed about parents not being present in their kid's life, especially when it comes to internet safety. Please teach your kids basic safety, talk to them about their social media and how they are being treated online. Even if not the worst case scenario (pedophile tries to engage with them) I've noticed a lot of kids are just generally struggling with maintaining healthy boundaries and expectations. Its important for their lifelong safety and health that they have a grounded perspective about boundaries, both for themselves and respecting other people's boundaries.
Honest question but do you feel schools do enough to engage with parents about it and threats faced to children? Whenever we try to raise issues with schools we are met with such resistance it's worrying. It's like they don't want to hear anything negative as it somehow impacts them. It's bizarre

I worked in a school as a TA and twice we had children whose father's were caught on a livestream by paedophile hunters. That's why I like this chap. The ripples of such actions go a long way. Both times the families had to move house to different areas. Moving house is traumatic enough, but losing your life partner, bread-winner, friends, clubs etc. In one fell swoop and tinge that with the shame the perpetrators actions attach to it, it must be devastating.
Unfortunately it's there families that are the only victims, which really upsets me saved thousands of children but ruined so many lives

In Germany there is a project called 'don't become an offender'. There paedophiles could go and search for help before they have commited a crime. You are right in saying that you can't change the affection. But there have been therapies which helped those people to cope. Because there were some people who are paedophiles and very disturbed about it. One man got to the public and exposed himself, never have done anything and struggling horribly. He only wanted help. What do you think about this approach?

They only go after the ones who are actively seeking to offend so it’s pretty different. I agree there’s a difference between someone who recognizes they’re sick and will find a way to get help (and I agree that there should be ways to get help) and someone whose actions show they wouldn’t hesitate to carry it out IRL. There is room for both - what is commonly called a two-pronged approach (viz. both prevention and punishment).

I sincerely thank this guy, his team and people who do the same. My offender was caught, but not punished at all. And the thing that hurt me the most until this day is that I was probably not the last person who he hurt. I knew a girl who he hurt too, and probably he did this even before me or at the same time is me. And she was the same age as me (4YO). I lived with so much guild because he wasn’t punished. And I felt like it was my responsibility to stop him.
